on the muscovite civil war event you should look also for your heir, the heir you had before was much better, so getting back your ruler then abdicate and your 3 4 5 heir will be on charge. Getting your old ruler back also gives you 1 stab after some time
Gotta place the capital in Netherland region or there will be a disaster. But it's actually a good thing. Man, this rng is crazy. You have to continue it.
Few times i had an heir that is 6 6 6. Man.... I always saved those files but end up being discouraged to play it since I'm either behind tech or didn't invest much while still having loans from fighting... But i love playing Muscovy
I like to release Astrakhan as a vassal after fighting Great Horde. When you incorporate Astrakhan later you get the maps the Altaic nations get so you don’t have to explore the east.
You may know this already, but I think I've seen this tip be relevant in a few of your videos. The AI will not join a war (even a defensive one) if the target has under -25% warscore. So, here at around 30:00 you could have peaced out Ajam as soon as you had 25% warscore on Gazi, no need to wait until you finished that capital siege. If your warscore dips below 25% for a day then they can call allies in though. Of course, there may have been other reasons you wanted to stay at war with Ajam there, but I thought I'd point it out.
The best place to put one's capital is in the Persia Subcontinent. The province I like for capital is Vladikavkaz (Alania), which you already have. That is because you now can create trade companies in every trade node besides the Persia trade - i.e there are other trade nodes with provinces in the Persia subcontinent but also outside it, so you effectively miss out only on 1. Also I like to wait until adm tech 10, because the decision for St. Petersburg moves my capital and if I have companies before that, they get destroyed.
24:56 thats a bit misleading as the uzbeks just lowered maintence and thats why their morale is so low, you would not have double morale during the war
you gotta take provinces from one vassal, give it to a different vassal and vice versa to maximise the times you seize land until they're all disloyal, try different combinations with rostov yaroslav and belozero
Not very detailed guide. At the start you can discuss the possibility of PUing Tver and Ryazan. 6:52 you have to take all border provinces to block Denmak. And ofc don't concentrate your own culture group. Also it's better to start with Kazan to get a lot of claims by converting 3 provinces. 10:52 you could have had free claims from the mission tree. Plus it's better to take only 1 province from Astrakhan and release it as a vassal. 16:48 very smart to vassalize and convert Riga. 20:15 they would be bad. Take transfer subjects and steal Norway from them in 1 war. 22:17 it's a free dip slot. Just put 4 cav into every army.
Good info sir, i'll try to remember especially not concentrating culture group, but keep in mind that i didn't classify this as a guide. It's more so gameplay and people can take some tips if they find it useful.
Damn. Blessed Muscovy not even Russia formed yet. Even look really healthy with only GC(As Russia GC problem? Ironic) the one that bring issue. There is actually another Muscovy psuedo guide(it's a "meme" video) and he basicly recommend perma claim instead of cc cost, honestly both are valid because perma claim decreas cc cost by 25% while normal claim just decrease by 15% so the diffrence only by 5%. The deal breaker for me is free diplomat though, i like diplomat. Also neat crownland trick, upping crownland into 10% at the start of the game is crucial because below 10% is where the autonomy debuff really hurt.
CCR, diplomat and the mechanics from claims that basically substitute espionage ideas is quite insane, I'm surprised to learn that someone picks the permaclaims tbh, as you normally want to expand beyond them. Thanks for watching bro.
@@GolemEnt Sure thing dude. For people picking perma claim i could sympathize because i'm somewhat lazy on spying for claims nor i want to be restricted by 25 years time limit haha.
@@GolemEnt I think it may depend on the player's goal. If they are simply doing a short achievement run, I can see the permaclaims being more useful, while the 2nd option is ofcourse better if you're going wide(r).
Yea you cannot seize if they're disloyal, you do it until that point. You can however give lands from one vassal to another to turn some of them back to being loyal if they're at like 50-55% and that might just give you one more time to seize land. Try different combinations with Belozero, Rostov and Yaroslavl.
Well, that's not 'craziest' start. Above the average, yes. You got lucky with the Burgundy, but slowed in techs and expansion. In 1480-85 you should directly own the siberian part of Uzbek and be preparing an invasion into Oirats, 1490-1500 own a line through Siberia to pacific coast and 1512-1514 form Russia and start colonizing all the way from Tura to Jugjur. But still, a great job for a beginner. BTW, the craziest start for the Muscovy I've ever had was PU Burgundy, Austria and Hungary, Sweden as a vassal, own all of Ruthenia and Siberia in 1480 or something. That was really crazy one.
@@GolemEnt a very good one, indeed. Except, I didn't get that event 'duchess of Burgundy dies' until 1550 or something and had to integrate them manually.

Muscovy is by far my most played and enjoyable nation to start as. glad to see you play it.

Great playthrough, but fyi the finland PU does not take up a diplo slot, you get a special +1 diplo relation.
