  • Harbor Seals, massive schools of fish, white sea bass and more with Caribbean like conditions. The school of salema was thick and unlike anything I've seen. Like swimming in an aquarium
    Plus, Sargo Croaker, Opaleye, Sheepshead, Yellowtail, Calico Bass, Garibaldi...

    I saw a hyper-pod of at least a thousand dolphin chasing a shoal of bait fish right here from a sport fishing boat. It was the most incredible sight I have ever seen.

    Remarkable conditions and sea life for a single day. Santa Ana winds bring fires and great diving sometimes.

    Hey Rick! Beautiful to see, thank you for posting 🐟
    🦞 I think the reserve is working 😺
    *quick note: The Montage does not own the beaches. They are public, as are all beaches in CA (technically). The name of that cove is “Treasure Island” 🐟😺🌊⛱

    Awesome edit and great footage, been there a bunch of times, but haven’t seen conditions that perfect…yet!

    Also check out Fishermen's Cove and for sure Crescent Bay. Shorter walk, less people in the water. Montage needs crazy calm water to have clarity.

    Hi Rick, Kristy here. I met you on the Treasure Island beach on Monday. I asked what your TH-cam channel was. What an INCREDIBLE video. Wow. I can't wait to come back in the fall for some calm, clear snorkeling. Cheers!

    Love this! What time of day did you go here? I live in Laguna Beach but rarely see this diversity when snorkeling

    The moratorium on hunting fish is working!!! I dove on Mountain Road Beach next to First Reef and saw more fish and sea life than ever. I have been diving in this area since the early 60s. Let us all keep it pure, I am sure we will attract more divers for the beauty and experience than hunting.

    Excellent video. I've still yet to encounter seals in the water. I've seen a school of Salema, nearby at Woods Cove. It wasn't as large, but still quite big and it's remarkable to see in person. I honestly don't know how I missed a day like this with such good conditions, as I'm usually a regaular down there and it seems like this past year, conditions weren't clear like this, but this video proves otherwise.

    This was awesome! Wow! We are staying across from this hotel just wondering how deep you are going into the water and how far in did you swim in guys..we loved and enjoyed your video thank you for sharing 😊🙏❤️🌊

      Not sure how conditions are at the moment, but on a good day the snorkeling can be good shallow or out on the deeper reefs. We cover lots of ground from shallow to the deeper reefs and will sometimes do a loop from the first ramp and exit at the last set of stairs.

    HOLY. WE go here all the time. This is awesome. So wet suits mandatory??

    • @MrRJCtube
      @MrRJCtube  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wet suits are not mandatory depending on your cold tolerance and how long you plan to stay in the water.

    where exactly did snorkel off from? thank you for the video!

    • @MrRJCtube
      @MrRJCtube  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are 3 ramps/stairs that provide access. You can enter by any, but most people enter in the center cove, but it's all good.
