Yeah the real go2 the bass cuts off at 60hrz. I wish that they wouldn't have done that but yet again it's a small speaker you wouldn't hear it that much anyway. Plus it would suck lots of battery for basically nothing and heat up the speaker so i guess that why jbl did that

I'm pretty sure it's for audio protection, the speaker is so small that the magnet wouldn't be able to keep up with the signals. It would have to switch between so many frequencies so fast that the audio would sound like trash. Plus, it does take up a substantial amount of battery and the excursion could damage the surround and the grille, as it would go too far.

80 hz sounded clear but 70 hz and 75 hz just sound weird and not clear at all

the fake go 2 could be better if there was a bass cut. it sounds clean down to around same frequency as a go 2, but beyond that it's just all distortion.
