I can tell you, from being a Mortgage Broker for 10 years, that the only way you get to where Kasey is is by learning and hustle. Inheriting wealth does not bring this type of investing knowledge. I really enjoy these interviews with Kasey, would love to sit with him to chat about his buying and financing strategies (legit not selling here, 100% want to listen and learn)

We want more KASEY! Im a real estate appraiser in BC and just starting investing in real estate 3yrs ago. My coworker and I love these videos! They are super in depth. Most of the bigger pockets/other real estate content online are all fluff. Kasey brings tips on his strategies that people can implement. Like in the previous video he said a Reno should equal to 2-2.5 years worth of increased rent. Genius! Don’t read the haters. Hey great job guys, Ive been in residential construction here in Vancouver BC for over 20 years and have been a landlord for many as well, Kasey is very smart and most of his points are right on target. From pitched roof vs flat, eliminating long term overhead cost, no balconies, no elevators etc... Toronto real estate prices vs rental returns are better than Vancouvers by a long shot. So better returns in TO.. I have to be honest his numbers in my city do not compute because of our sky high prices, but Kasey is the real deal. I must add I am 50, and only have 1 dependant, 35 year mortgages with a small amount of cash flow are not really attractive at my age! Thank you kasey

I have one more year in my Engineering undergrad and I never considered real estate until I started watching Kasey. Now real estate will definitely be my side hustle as soon as I am done with my last year. I started my property maintenance business 2 years ago and currently managing maintenance for 7 multi-family properties a total of 1850 units and it wasn't easy for the first 12 months. Ive gained ground by learning from people like yourself online but also the property owners. I purchased my first duplex two months ago which has made me truly believe you have to start from somewhere in real estate to gain the fundamental knowledge of running a rental property. They don't realize they're getting some raw experience from people who have made it. They don't see this as knowledge for FREE. They want it now and don't realize that it takes time. At 28, I'm only now closing in on 20k cash savings, looking at duplexes, working on my credit score, and getting ready. During that wait, I'm not going to waste it. I'm getting my comps, searching Austin for deals, working on networking, and soaking in all the TH-cam videos I can find. I just found your channel, I am in binge watching mode now! Matt I think you have a great deep voice for TH-cam, and Kasey talks 1000 miles/hour and there is sooooo much knowledge spilling out. And if I understood right, I find it amazing that Kasey manages his own properties!
It's a reoccurring theme with a lot of the successful real estate investors I meet - they really value their reputation and ensure they 'eat last' vs their money partners etc.
@@CanadianRealEstateChannel makes alot of sense. If word had got out someone had a bad deal with Kasey (even if wasn't his fault, and they knew the risks) it could have easily dried up access to future money. Making his investors whole keeps the cash flowing.

Kasey is awesome! I grew up in the same area as him, and knew many Wong's actually. My favorite part, not sure why, is the way he handled losing all that money. I would love to hear him talk about that! What he learned from it, how he responded then, and how he'd respond now!

I totally get Kasey. To reach Kasey's level the struggle had to be real. It's pretty clear to me. I can see it clearly where he is coming from through all these videos. People who've never struggled , never put in the work and never spent late nights running problems in their head, etc can't see where his level of expertise comes from at the end. You just can't fake what Kasey has and is providing if you've had money thrown at you, with no worries, since birth.
Amazing stuff Matt, really enjoying the ability the learn from someone so wise on the topic as Kasey is. Keep up the great work and never stop the hustle.

Adam Martin I’d be interested in seeing the administrative side of Kasey’s business. Does he have an office and staff? How does he coordinate work that needs to be done at each of his properties?
@@RT-yh8pi Thanks for your response! I will follow up with Kasey the next time we're with him about the admin. I don't believe he has anyone else on staff for that, I think he and his wife tackle it- and they would obviously employ a great power team (lawyer, inspector, accountant, realtors, etc).
Glad you have Kasey back. One of my favorite guest. Always found it funny how other assume your success was "easy". There are probably lots of failure/experience to get to where Kasey is. I just found your channel, I am in binge watching mode now! Matt I think you have a great deep voice for TH-cam, and Kasey talks 1000 miles/hour and there is sooooo much knowledge spilling out. And if I understood right, I find it amazing that Kasey manages his own properties!

It's a reoccurring theme with a lot of the successful real estate investors I meet - they really value their reputation and ensure they 'eat last' vs their money partners etc.
@@CanadianRealEstateChannel makes alot of sense. If word had got out someone had a bad deal with Kasey (even if wasn't his fault, and they knew the risks) it could have easily dried up access to future money. Making his investors whole keeps the cash flowing.

I totally get Kasey. To reach Kasey's level the struggle had to be real. It's pretty clear to me. I can see it clearly where he is coming from through all these videos. People who've never struggled , never put in the work and never spent late nights running problems in their head, etc can't see where his level of expertise comes from at the end. You just can't fake what Kasey has and is providing if you've had money thrown at you, with no worries, since birth.
