Had a 1982 econoline 150 with 350k miles got hit by a NYC sanitation truck pushed me right on to a subway support pillar radiator fell out all the fluids were gone cranked it up drove 3 miles to the junkyard with no problem crazy dependable engine
Dual tanks! And the Ford straight 6 is one of the best truck motors ever.. Impact fuel shut off is generally at the top right of the passenger floor board, or behind the kick panel.
Either your fuel rail is completely fucked or your fuel pump shut off valve has been switched or wrecked wiring harness ie: fuel pump fuse or harness is completely jacked you did get too pop a couple times hopefully the motor is savable have a nice day your videos are awesome..

I thought maybe the rad was pressed up against the pulleys causin the hesitation, but I was quickly proven wrong. I'm a Chevrolet guy, but love a good challenge and you seem to deliver every time. I agree with 'Its a Rome Thing Everyday'.I had an 89 Ford.When a tire blew,the slapping tread popped the 'Fuel Reset' button for the Fuel pump.Guy at a parts store told me and it fired up after 2 sets of the key.Reset the button.Turn the key on for 20 seconds and shut off for 2 mins.Do twice and the fuel pump will have refilled the rail...pretty much,LoL.Judging by the twists of that truck,the line;s probably kinked.

Maybe a drunk driver might’ve went to the wrong side of the road and slammed on it or maybe the driver was distracted on their phone or they might’ve drove too fast or they might’ve fell asleep on the wheel

I don't think your spliced battery positive lead is letting enough power through to turn it fast enough to have a chance of catching. And it's probably pulling power from the fuel pump trying to turn the engine so it's not getting any fuel. There might well be stuff torn out underneath by the trip into the boonies. It might be worth another check-over and a revisit to prove whether or not it's a good motor but don't be surprised it it's done, it took a lot of big hits so this might be the end for that straight-6, despite their legendary toughness. Maybe the smog pump off this (if it has one) will fit the orange truck...
Octane (An 8 carbon molecule) burns so fast it is "Pure knock." The starting fluid is Heptane (A seven carbon molecule,) that also burns really fast...but ya gotta love anyithng called Heptane - Party in a can
pop bottle with a small hole poked in the cap , you could have nursed it and got it running pretty easy , that engine if she runs decent and has good oil pressure it's worth a little cash , they will go in the 700 to 800 range here all day , people so should learn to sale parts , then scrap whats left , tons of money to be made , heck I have 2 storage lots , one is off limits , but once I do the paperwork on a car , or the owner just coughs up the title and says keep it , I move them to the second lot , it's like a you pull it yard , I have the people I trust , and I will give them deals to keep the people I don't know honest , I make a fortune then crush what's left , I wish the whole wrecking yard permits ect were not so impossible , I would love to open one for real , but my little skirt around it is the best I will ever be able to do lol

It looks like there are a lot of parts there that could be used to dress up the orange ex-state/county truck to give it a much nicer spec inside. I suspect from the size of the hit it took in the front that engine is going to be wrecked. I think it's going to have been pushed back into the trans and prop/drive shaft which may well have wrecked a lot of components and maybe even the block itself. It's a shame, it looks like it was a nice truck and, I would imagine, pretty rare being a high-spec with a 6 in the front. Slow down in the rain and look after your tyres, they're the only thing keeping you on the road and not having a close encounter of the thud kind with the scenery, like this person did. From the lack of blood inside I imagine they walked away which is pretty lucky as I suspect this has been over on the driver's side in the crash...
had this exact truck only 4x4 -that 300 six just didnt have what it took -needed at least a 302 and the paint flaked off after 3 years,see that front bumper ? wouldn't take much to get it bent like that .
I have the exact same truck but the paint was black with grey but it has the same red stripe interior engine transmission and everything except it’s not wrecked

That's definitely been over on the driver's side, it's lost the fuel out of the gas/petrol cap and the oil out of the dipstick tube... It might be OK with more oil put in it but really it just isn't worth the risk, it's going to run its bearings probably sooner than later...
It sounded like a diesel when it was trying to run, definitely means something is wrong. Also instead of putting a shitty battery into it, why not get a good battery so you don't have to hook 2 other vehicles up to it?

My dad has an '89 F-150 5 speed manual with the 4.9 I6. It runs pretty good, or at least it did before we had to chop off the muffler.

Derrr,didn't see your comment before mine.Fuel line is bent then.
Ended up being a broken wire between the ignition and fuse block. We straight wired the system and it ran fine !
