hey jay when you go to start the older IDI mechanical injection diesels(6.2, 6.9, 7.3)-put your accelerator foot flat to the floor when cranking,it gives the engine the max fuel during starting..makes it MUCH easier to start..let off as soon as she fires off
That's a hell of a truck I'd keep that one Ford and Dodges are pretty reliable just got to keep up maintenance on the Dodge transmissions and I dont need people talking bad about dodge there good trucks
The fan speed will kick up once the alternator kicks in usually. You now have to awesome 7.3 trucks you need to make one good one ,they have great resale and the price keeps going up on them.
Did you hear how that thing fired up the first time? I swear it ran like a bag of rocks! Obviously it ran better after that, and I’ve heard that those power stroke engines go forever.
The Frame Straightener 7000 or "FS7" for short. Is a much more powerful machine but its cumbersome, and doesn't "gently" adjust. Its too rough for this application. But its a good unit, and nice to have for when we repair semi frames, or need to move a house, or take a dent out of Train XD
@@MXguy95 next time some one sells a train for scrap that has dents on it if u wanna resell it u might wanna look into the frame strightner 7000 to get them dents out but if some one scraps a home atleast u can move it around to!

Think they made around 2 million 7.3 navistar diesels throughout their run, trumps compared to its competitor the 5.9 12v cummins. They made around 250,000 of those. I still see more 12v cummins on the road for some reason.

@@gallupcustomknives2293 yeah Ford had a lot of issues with that year especially with the transmission computer module I had a lot of friends who had those and had lots of issues and it was horrible on gas
