This is how to make homemade local fish feed
Due to the high cost of commercial fish feeds in Nigeria, some farmers like me have started making their own feeds using locally available ingredients. I made sure the feed is a balanced diet to provide for adequate growth of the fishes.
Ingredients includes Garri(roasted cassava flakes), Blood meal, PKC, GNC, etc read more here
Although this is a crude method it was worth it and there is still room for improvement. Come to think of it, I didn't use a machine to make this feed. (Because I couldn't afford the money.
I used an improvised pelletizer to pelletize the mixture, after which I set it out in the sun to dry.

It's actually very interesting, but advisedly U should be measuring the ingredients and also hand glove ur hand for your protection coz of the Blood but it's really helpful.

I love you Bro, you are a hard working and thinking man, l suspected you were going to use that white pan with holes are your pellets machine, you are a genius. Hardship is master of invention, I've just bought Extruder and grinding machine for my upcoming fish farm, I'm putting necessities in place before the actual completion of the construction of Earthen and concrete ponds. This is expository. Thank you so much for revealing this out here. It's been a source of concern on how to navigate the difficulty in meeting up feeding the fish to harvest level, and still make profit. Foreign feeds are good, but rather too expensive to purchase.

You can make feed that can feed any number of fishes you want. All you need are the right equipment and enough quantity of feed stuffs

Yeah. It's an essential protein needed in large amounts by fishes but not available in sufficient quantities in the feed stuffs. Adding it to the feeds makes the fish grow faster and healthier

Using raw blood? no measurements? using garri? So what is the crude protein content of the "feed" you have formulated? what is the energy level and crude fibre level of the feed? gash! bros, go learn.

If you wanted to know anything or make suggestions, it's courtesy to do so kindly.
All ingredients were measured and crude protein content determined before embarking on formulations, but due to some limitations all ingredients were not added at once.
Raw blood, could also be dried and made into blood meal and used for fish feed making.
The work is however, not a perfect work and a lot of improvements has been made. Thanks
