I do this for my chickens too to give em a balance diet my Nigerian lecturer gave me a lot of agriculture articles and this was in in along with mushroom production. İ have Neva weight my chickens so I'm going to make a control group to c how this goes.....those on maggot feed vs does not on it.
Thank u my brother your typical African, who is helping us cheaply instead of going for soldier flies thank u so much am still following your channel.
Remember this type can carry deadly disease that can kill livestock than soldier one
Can you please show us when the chicken are feeding on the maggots
Thank you, this was very informative
Can I use rice bran?
Thank goodness for that, thought you were going to produce them for us to consume!!!!!
Great video,
Can I use any animal kind of blood not necessarily chicken blood?
Thanks
yes pig blood works well.
Ok...this new.
Can they feed on rice chaff?
thank you just thank you
I knew he was truly committed to the cause when he scraped those eggs from the side of the bucket.
Chicken poop - fly lays eggs on poop- larva grows into maggots- chicken eats maggots- Chicken poop... the never ending process
😁
That’s incorrect. That larvae have to pupate into flys before they lay eggs
@@matthewmaynard5460 That's why he collects the eggs from the poop and let's them hatch in the meal... I collect the Flys in meal fly traps for them to lay directly in meal and the flies die and chickens get flies and maggots...
@karencoleman9966 how do u do it. I want to do this. Please thank u
It’d be a lot less messy using a fine mesh strainer, a sprayer hose and some kind of ladle, all of which I have, so I’m giving this a shot for my quail. Already breeding mealworms, already using the wheat bran for them, but the more the merrier.
did you try this? If so what was your experience vs mealworm?
Has it really worked for anyone
And I'm going to start this process today for my chickens
First of all Sir are you married?
This is a really great idea and technique! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you very much
That's is benefits of house flies to produce animal feeds...
This very good content bro , love from Haiti 🇭🇹✊🏿
Am also planning to start a small farm i can't to wait raise my juicy maggots thank you so much for the free information
So is it necessary that one washes the maggots, or I can just feed it to the chickens right away?
wow this explains it all,, am a pig farmer and where i dump pig dung there are a lot of maggots' and the local chickens from my neighbor are always in my compound for the maggots' produced by the pig dung,,, i will start raising my own local chickens,,, before this video i thought they are not good feed to chickens..
all along I thought they might put the chickens at healthy risks
How many buckets do l need a day for 200 chickens
Actually you can not only harvest maggots from pig dung,.... within 5 days u will be able to make very good manure from the dung and it's good fertilizer for your maize, so stop wasting money, ...it May look disgusting but that is Monday
You run the slight risk giving the chickens botulism however it is not likely if it is prepared in a way as seen in the video. A mesh strainer to rinse is preferable if you can acquire or have access. Chickens who feed on maggots grow at the same rate as others and there is not a risk for you to consume.
But somebody taught about maggots of house flies that it contains diseases causing agents. That's better to use black soldier fly maggots. Clarification on that bro! Thanks
I ALSO NEED CLARIFICATION HERE
@Laurent Pelletier Are these Bsf or house fly
Boss, I really want to see you feeding the chickens
Best idea ever
Thanks for this Bwana 👏🏿. Very simple step by step explanation with no out of reach equipment and tools 👌🏿
This is great and well explained. it makes the whole process looks like as easy as abc
What does No.3 maize meal mean?
Excellent and simply learned. But I want to know for how long each catch of maggots can be kept for
PLENTY OF UNNECESSARY TALK AND DESCRIPTION - KEEP IT SHORT AND ONLY RELEVAANT POINTS?
Good idea
Useful upload sir
I am from India
Although I hate seeing the process I do agree that natural food is best, I was told to feed my dog on processed kibble but to be honest he would have been better on meat and dog biscuits, too much processed rubbish now
This is really wonderful... You guys are really inspiring..... That's a gud a idea to have as a farmer...God bless you alot....
👍
Wow, interesting process. Can you show us now the chickens feeding on them?
Although I'm late commenting on this but brother this has 41% protein in fact it's gold for chicken
Beautiful stuff. But I would be happy if you included timeliness as well. How long does each procelast. Eg how long it takes to feed the maggots etc
Beautiful video! Very simple. One from Uganda talked of using the 'Black Soldier Fly' fly to produce the eggs. But an ordinary house fly can be used!
Your awesome man. Thanks for the time you put into this. I am looking to diversify my feed for my chickens. I was thinking worm farm but maggots seem like the fastest, cheapest and easiest option.
Woow what a great idea.. Now let's go farming
Can fish also feed on maggots?
Wow this got my like and am subscribing now too
I just started rearing maggots and am learning alot, should be coming up with something soon
Thank you dad for exposing this knowledge to cut down feed expenses.from Nigeria
Remember this type can carry deadly disease that can kill livestock than soldier one
Sorry this is what chicken eat in the open 😔 @@MartinNtuli
Why are you rinsing them if that's just soya cake. Isn't the soya cake good for the chickens also?
Thanks a lot sir...I am new in farming ... Will give it a try
Can you help me attract the flies?!

Pls how many days it will take to form maggots
I need to try this for my chickens

The video is so helpful, at least have learnt something new
where can you get sunflower cake?
Have you tried black soldier fly larvae which collect themselves when mature?
Great video, much appreciated …best one I’ve seen but just would appreciate a few more details please ? I have put the manure out in a tray…some was fresh a and some were dry so I sprayed the dry ones with water….will that be enough ? Also not sure if any eggs have been laid yet…been out for 30 minutes. Should I just leave it all out there for some hours or how long in the sun please ?
Then do I mix wheat bran with water before adding to the manure?would really love an updated version of this great video with all the exact details…it is so easy for you as you know but for us newbies the recipe so to speak and timing would be greatly appreciated😊
Did you work it all out?
Hahahahaha😂😂😂
It takes how long to grow in that baket
Genius. Wow!! You have empowered me in a few minutes
How do you know that this is the eggs
Thanks for sharing sir
Csn u feed the animals when they are dry
Why do you wash off the maggots
For some days... Be specific...

Sun dried to store them dry dehydrated

How long should you wait for that 20 ltr bucket to fill and how many times would you harvest in a week
🤣🤣I'm thinking u r from Zimbabwe or Nigeria... The way u said they will kill ech other or themselves 😅😅an African trying to prove a point
How many buckets did u have to set up growing the maggots to fill that 20L bucket?
Two half drums
It's so wonderful ideas iwould like to feed my chicken maggot
After collecting chicken droppings,u just put in the bucket or u fisrt mix it with some water?
This is awesome
Great !! Please should we add some water after putting eggs into the wheat bran? Thank you so much for this video
At least I do not have to go the bsf route. Now for the first time I get to appreciate house flies. I get put the to good use.
Oh wow this video is well detailed. Thank you very much for sharing I will surely try it for my chicken
Thank you very much. I need to try this at my little farm.
