to be honest this antimalware service started to reach 100%cpu after I ran a full scan on my computer from windows defender and after it finished it went to 0 so thats my problem idk if someone has another problem or not but for me it was from the scan
MsMpEng doesnt exist inside the Windows Defender directory. Infact, it only contains 2 sub-directories and 5 .dll files :/ not sure what to do from here
In your task manager, right-click on the Antimalware Service Executable and click open file location. Just copy and paste the address when you are adding the exclusion

Speaking of high cpu/mem. Firefox is using 2 to 3GB. Is that normal for a normal user? This pc I use doesn't have much mem, so reducing it use is preferable.
Let me save some people a ton of time. This works for VERY FEW people; there is no consistency, other than the overwhelming majority of people that it doesn't work for. What I was told by an IT person: just buy a 3rd party windows security program. I did, and I have my RAM back. AFTER watching 3-4 of these videos and failing each time. Try at your own risk.
I was kind of lucky because the IT person I spoke about is my brother, but the long and short of it is, we disabled .system main which was a big culprit. Services executable is still there, but doesn’t use nearly as much disk usage anymore. I don’t even have an ssd and doing this helped tons. Good luck 👍
You can you have to go to Microsoft security but you have to turn on the thing at the bottom where it says allow pepole to changes files or something like that I don’t feel like looking for what it says but you should be able to find it👍
