Even many people from her fan base, UAENA has commented that IU and Taehyung really are close friends because even though IU is older than Taehyung, IU and V spoke informal Korean with one another. They teased each other a lot on the show which was cute, more like comfortable friends rather than as MC and guest. IU did speak more formal Korean with both Jhope and Yoongi when they guested on her show. But I think that’s just V being V ..he makes friends easily because he knows how to make people comfortable around him and he loves to joke around. 😂💜 Their duet was amazing..manifesting an official duet song and a kdrama or movie together in the future with IU and V..❤️🔥🤩
@@rubyarmy4 Oh, yes, you made a really good point, IU would talk to V informally and sincerely like two friends, while he would talk to others formally, and you are absolutely right, this is because of Taehyung's behavior and character, he never loses himself due to his position and rank. And he always treats others comfortably and sincerely like a friend and doesn't let anyone feel uncomfortable, even his description of IU's band was very respectful and sweet. Taehyung always respects the qualities of others and never looks down on others, and he doesn't even wish for anyone to praise him too much, and he is always himself 😀

The best episode.. I think V on talk shows has always been the best. He doesn't go overboard, he serious yet fun and doesn't waste the audiences time. Gives a good insight in to who he is. His vocals goes without saying and live vocals he is number one.

There was also a deleted scene from this episode where they talked more about Tae doing acting. IU mentioned that alot of directors wants Tae to act in their movies and have been trying to cast him. She's also an actress that's why she hears a lot. Hopefully he has more time in the near future

Accrding to IU fans, this is the 1st tym they've seen her be soo friendly and free with someone. Tae and IU's frndship was soo surprising cause noone expected. Their ship name is called "Jihyeun" if i'm not wrong. Its a fun ship tht IU acknowledged bcause both fans want to see them togethr on screen again.

@ ok let’s unpack the comment. V is not a vocalist but a singer. This is acknowledged as BTS are primarily RAP/Dance grp. The main singer is jungkook. Next Jin. Lots of vocal coaches will back this. You can hear it. Even IU hinted it. As 4 songwriting. It’s like saying I’m an author. Doesn’t mean I good at it. He has written some songs but compared to IU, RM, Suga etc he is not an acknowledged/respected songwriter. Many idols now use AI to help the process. To rate V is to actually hear other artists & then u will understand when I say compared to IU there is no equivalence. Which is the context of response to the comment re IU & V. Perhaps view like jungkook - why do I need to be.

I’m back to rewatch this episode… one point which I think is so so important and so crucial to acknowledge is truly how much of a beautiful live singer Tae is. He is so slept on. IU is considered one of the leading female vocalists from South Korea so her genuine praise saying he’s a genius live performer is truly meaningful. A good reminder also is that to this day Tae is still the only BTS vocalist who has been nominated for Best live performance as a soloist at the MAMA awards (Love Me Again 2023 MAMA).
All too often people seem to think only high notes in very processed prerecording or performance videos which have been doctored by the company are what a great singer is but there is so so much more to it. Considering how wide Tae’s range is too is so impressive. From his falsetto, to his head voice to his chest voice and how flawlessly he transitions between them. The praise Tae got for his life performances during Layover from experts was truly so well deserved. Too often people are brainwashed and gaslighted in this fandom by official positions given at debut… and it truly needs to stop being passed down to new ARMY, more than 11 years have passed since their debut. The reason why BTS became so well known in Korea was because official positions mean nothing.
I think the fact that Tae is always evolving and getting even more exquisite vocally especially live really needs to be acknowledged more. And respected more. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

I will always remember this Palette episode for 1. how V was ready to take IU's band. 😅 I don't blame him. It was cute how much he was admiring them and giving them praise. 😍And 2, the very personal new perspective I gained from V to embrace the parts of my personality that I have only seen as weaknesses (because of how the world defines weakness/strengths). Like V's celebration of his "slowness".
Also, isn't it interesting that he did 3 duets after this show--Check to Cheek, Winter Ahead, and White Christmas --when IU told him that his voice blends well with others--male or female.
IU is a queen! Any artist recognizing and respecting the boys as colleagues and good friends are high up there for me. They have my respect too.

i love iu’s interviews with the members bc the dynamic in her show are so fun, the conversation with the performance breaks are so good, besides the fact that iu is lovely and does her homework on their music and it shows!! and she’s so right, taehyung’s voice blends so well with others, his duets are some of my favorites ever.

It's so funny that no one expected them to be friends, maybe even more longtime friends than IU and Suga 😆 Tae calls her "Noona" which means "older sister", and when he said "You have a sick ear" I think he was referring to IU's condition where she can't really hear herself so he wanted her to sing less? Yknow I’d love to see a reaction to IU’s episode on Suchwita. There’s so much content of her interviewing BTS members but in that episode it’s Yoongi interviewing IU and so I think it’d give them a chance to learn more about her (since they seem interested).

This was before the Love Wins All, an apocalyptic video that Taehyung and IU are in. You notice Taehyung said he wanted to star in a thriller, end of the world type thing. =) The behind the scenes of Love Wins All was so cute. I think they have known each other for a very long time. I remember IU, Taehyung and Jungkook doing a little MC thing but I cant remember what it was for. They were all so small and cute. Also Taehyung, Park Seojoon, a few of Taehyung's friends and Hobi went to see IU's anniversary show. The music video was playing on the screen as she sang, it also showed a different ending.

I love this episode so muchhhh! I would love for you to also watch Hobi and Yoongi's episodes in IU Palette, as well as the Suchwita Episode with IU. Another show that really shows live vocals is Lee Mujin - Jimin and Jin guested on this show but Jin sang a lot compare to Jimin (not sure why hehe) but I love both episodes 😊💜
