i don't think if you notice this or not, but from 34:53 when they talked about singing a song together, taehyung knew about iu's ear condition. so iu diagnosed Patulous Eustachian Tube Dysfunction since last year. the disorder causes one to hear themselves too loudly, creating discomfort. therefore it's quite difficult to her to sing because she will feel discomfort hearing her own voice too loudly. but im surprised taehyung really knew about her situation, means both really know to each other more than we know. and i guess this is the first time a quest considered about her ear condition
I didn't know IU was going through something so hard for a singer. With all my heart I hope that science finds a way to make her condition more bearable and improves soon, she's a great singer with a lot of talent and own brilliance. Kim Taehyung showed once again what a beautiful person he's, by being so considerate and respectful towards IU's person, Tae is a true angel with a lot of talent and an extraordinary voice that is exceeding the expectations of many critics and that makes me very happy. This was such a great ep Familia. Re-watching alongside with you was a joy. I loved IU and Tae’s interactions… she is close to a lot of BTS but you could see that IU was truly a mothering hen and older Noona taking care of Tae, teasing him, bickering with him and supporting him. And that they are very close as they use banmal. I loved how endeared the band staff were by Tae too, especially the two behind Tae. Tae and JK attended the dream movie premier for Seo-Joon but IU was also the lead actress in the film. Tae has a gift of getting close to people and building bonds despite being shy. Tae, JK and IU also hosted a music show together in the very very early BTS days. As others have mentioned you have heard Ending Scene before. JK iconicly covered it. Also when Tae mentioned about IU having a sick ear. IU has a very serious injury to her ear which sometimes makes singing agony for her. It was so serious she considered retiring. It’s so touching and such a good example of Tae’s beautiful, sweet nature that at first he didn’t even consider asking her to duet because of it. I loved how shy Tae gets with compliments but enjoys them too. As Namjoon said Tae is the type to get motivated by compliments. Tae also mentioned wanting to be complimented on the hybe podcast radio he released on the first couple of days of promotion. IU telling him he was beautiful as he danced and calling him pretty and praising his live singing was everything. And I would say Tae has accomplished his mission… every musician I’ve seen listening to the album has loved it! The Netflix series that Taehyung mentioned is definitely a binge worthy show. The actors were amazing and overall plot was intriguing. I definitely recommend as I agree with Tae that this series is also one of my faves. Its definitely not for those who cant handle waching like a gore scene or can't handle listening to vulgar language. It is a dark romance-crime thriller. It has 2 seasons.

This was such a great ep Familia. Re-watching alongside with you was a joy. I loved IU and Tae’s interactions… she is close to a lot of BTS but you could see that IU was truly a mothering hen and older Noona taking care of Tae, teasing him, bickering with him and supporting him. And that they are very close as they use banmal. I loved how endeared the band staff were by Tae too, especially the two behind Tae. Tae and JK attended the dream movie premier for Seo-Joon but IU was also the lead actress in the film. Tae has a gift of getting close to people and building bonds despite being shy. Tae, JK and IU also hosted a music show together in the very very early BTS days. As others have mentioned you have heard Ending Scene before. JK iconicly covered it. Also when Tae mentioned about IU having a sick ear. IU has a very serious injury to her ear which sometimes makes singing agony for her. It was so serious she considered retiring. It’s so touching and such a good example of Tae’s beautiful, sweet nature that at first he didn’t even consider asking her to duet because of it. I loved how shy Tae gets with compliments but enjoys them too. As Namjoon said Tae is the type to get motivated by compliments. Tae also mentioned wanting to be complimented on the hybe podcast radio he released on the first couple of days of promotion. IU telling him he was beautiful as he danced and calling him pretty and praising his live singing was everything. And I would say Tae has accomplished his mission… every musician I’ve seen listening to the album has loved it! Can’t wait to your reaction to Tae’s music shows… they are all wonderful and very different from each other! Tiny dk is truly magical too. Borahae and thank you for making such high quality content. P.s Marisol was so sweet (but also in my opinion reading it the sibling vibe so wrong keke) but IU has a very wonderful famous actor boyfriend. His acting is outstanding. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Also it might be lost in translation a bit but despite the banmal IU’s way of talking to Tae is like someone older teasing someone very much younger that they/adore find cute. It’s a big part of Korean culture to enjoy Aegyo. If you watch Tae closely and with his friendship group this is the dynamic he is treated in. 💜

Great for you if you see it differently. You are welcome to think what you want. Make as many of your own comments stating your own views instead of camping on other peoples comments. But that is the way to me with inside knowledge of the language and culture and even what the editors are going for. I always feel sorry for international army who are not going to understand the many nuances. But a great tip would be to pay attention to the captions the editors put as they act as guide for how these interactions are viewed. Just because IU is older and has a nurturing reaction to Tae does not mean they are not friendly. The word friends carries a different weight in Korea and only applies to those born in the same year. 💜

This episode was so wholesome, as well as your reaction to it - I was smiling the entire time! I was also amazed by their chemistry, I didn't know they were such close friends, even IU fans said that she only laughs this much when she is really comfortable around someone. Our Tae is a social butterfly for a reason. I would also like to say how immensely proud I am of him and his album - he followed his heart, not the chart rules and requests, and gave us this masterpiece that is now breaking all the records. Borahae, Tae!
P.S. IU is actually Jungkook's biggest celebrity crush - he sang one of her songs for his first audition, and he still often sings them live (you can find his version of Ending Scene that Tae and IU performed here), went to her concerts for two nights in a row last year, so I would really love to hear his thoughts on this episode. Hopefully, in one of his future lives.
That's what i said too v could've done a pop album so it can reach the most possible of ppl and so to please the audience but no he decided to please himself instead and do an album that shows his own color and what he's comfortable with and yes some ppl be saying oh im not used of this type of music but couldn't y'll guess i mean its v we all know he loves slow jam jazzy songs and for me personally since i got into bts 5 years now i found myself enjoying some genres that i wasn’t even listening to before so i enjoyed this album bcz thats the diversity of bts there's pop there's rock there's jazz

The Netflix series that Taehyung mentioned is definitely a binge worthy show. The actors were amazing and overall plot was intriguing. I definitely recommend as I agree with Tae that this series is also one of my faves. Its definitely not for those who cant handle waching like a gore scene or can't handle listening to vulgar language. It is a dark romance-crime thriller. It has 2 seasons.
