Separation from a draining relationship/person. She mentioned on The Terrell Show since separating she hasn’t had lupus flare ups. She’s gained healthy weight and dropped the weight of an unhealthy partner(ship). ❤️
I like the fact that she admits to “under singing” on purpose. That is probably the most honest an artist has been on this podcast so far. I apologize for my criticism in the Live Chat 😂.
I can respect her revelation of this as I don't think, healthwise, she should or could sustain belting out the stratosphere each and every night on stage. Some artists (past and present) are built for that stamina through intense formal vocal training. Some are not. Either way, every singer has an expiration date with their vocal range being at it's peak.
@@TheRetroWoman80it's literally a little more complicated with Muni. You can find her older performances on TH-cam and she was fire, always. Troy said something along the line of it's not advantageous for an artist to sing at their best because then the fans/consumers can't match that artist's level of singing. Superb singing is not "palatable" for the fans. My mouth dropped open when he explained that, but it made sense, because when I listened to Trey's more recent albums compared to his first three, he was SINGING back on those earlier albums compared to his most recent album. If you still listen to the radio, you don't hear R&B singers belting songs they are taking a more chill approach to singing.
