- In our 2nd day in Minnesota, we went to two places to ride coasters that aren't exactly traditional parks, Como Town and the Mall of America's Nickelodeon Universe. This were our hijinks at these two places.

I was there the same day and was stunned most rides didn't get busy. It was a stark contrast to my Saturday visit in 2019.
Log Chute's line was an hour midway through the day. We're glad we rope dropped it. The ride keeps you mostly dry if you ride in back. Those up front get a nasty surprise.
Yeah you scared me when you said the front got soaked. That made me less eager to wait it out also knowing I'd be dripping wet the rest of my time there.
That log flume is one of the best imo; 100% worth the long wait. The other thing I hope you saw (as a baseball fan) is the red chair mounted up above it that's also from Metropolitan Stadium, at the landing site of Harmon Killebrew's 520-foot home run in 1967.
For real. I went on it a few years ago and it was such a good ride
Between the wait and not wanting to walk around soaked and so much other stuff we wanted to try it just didnt happen. Maybe if como town didnt take 3 hours that would have been a possibility
I had also skipped the log flume because of the 3-hour wait for it, and an indoor amusement park is not the kind of place I want to be walking around soaked. I don't really like log flumes that much, so I don't feel like I cheated myself. If they're less than a 10-minute wait and I won't get wet, I'll go for it.
For an indoor park this is pretty good. It's one of the few parks where the log flume is the best ride. Log Chute is genuinely a phenomenal ride and it's amazing that it exists in such a limited space. Spongebob is pretty cool but it's more just impressive that it's a thrilling coaster in an enclosed area. If it were at a normal park people wouldn't be as impressed by it. But Log Chute would be amazing in any park.
Oh man skipping the log flume is brutal
So cool that you stopped at Como! Sort of a hidden gem. My mom remembers the coaster that was there before when she was a kid in the 80’s. She said the old coaster whipped you way too hard against the sides on the turns. Almost everyone always had bruises on their arms or hips.
I gotta say I love how you are doing all this with your family, especially your interactions with Sophie. So cute and it is great how you share your passions with them!

I love you and Sophie's interactions, it's so cute. Some of my best memories are riding coasters with my dad when I was young (probably around her age). He can't do many coasters anymore because of his back but I still make him go on Iron Dragon with me when we go to Cedar Point (that's the one we rode together most often and my first non-kiddie coaster) haha
First off, it's a shame that this video isn't performing as well as it should be. The quality and personability is top notch.
Second, this is just adorable. My oldest daughter is named Sophie, so this was a joy to watch.

I went to both of those parks last summer. Como zoo, conservatory, and town are really nice.
I was just visiting Minneapolis for the first time a couple months ago and happened to also visit Como Zoo and conservatory without any knowledge that a coaster credit was there haha. Unfortunately it was still closed for the season. All I could think about was how few enthusiasts actually know that ride exists in a really random spot

I remember back when I lived in Minnesota I was like 4 and I remember going to como zoo and como town, and I have done all the rides at Nickelodeon universe on recent trips but the log flume which I always remember riding as a kid has always been closed.

Great vlog on both parks. They look cool to visit. Especially the Nickelodeon Universe mall. By the way, I'm surprised that Sophie doesn't wear glasses at the beginning and wears glasses at the thumbnail. I mean glasses are really important for seeing. Especially it helps you see things close from far away. But anyways, great vlog!

this park was so fun when we used to go, we went at least twice a year since we lived in Minnesota at the time but since then we moved to Texas and it's great, I don't think I can compare the coasters in the mall of america to the ones in texas.
also one time on a very busy weekend in winter we had to wait 3 hours for log chute

I like the Fairly Odd coaster more than the pandemonium clones because fairly odd coaster was the original gerstlauer spinner and was the original one with that layout. That’s why the pandemonium coasters look the way they do.

Having ridden rock bottom plunge quite a lot back in march, it has its two rough/jarring sections, that being the overbank and the transition into the midcourse, otherwise it's a smooth ride. Also on the log chute, when cresting the first lift hill, look to your right. The boysenberry sauce from the park's knott's camp snoopy days is still there.
The front row seems to be more intense/more rough. Just like it is on TMNT Shellraiser

We actually do, this one was just an extended weekend trip. The one in july will send us thru the southeast and disney world
You should definitely consider Memphis Kiddie Park for a side-stop next time you plan an Ohio trip, as they are home to the oldest continually-operating steel coaster in the country (an Allen Herschell Little Dipper, circa 1952 - and yes, adults can ride) as well as an increasingly rare Herschell narrow gauge “Iron Horse”.
Either way, thank you for the thoroughly enjoyable content, as content creators like yourself continue to inspire me to partake in my own adventures.

5:25 there is also a single red chair bolted to one of the walls in the area where left center field would be. I forget if it is Hank Aaron's final home run in Milwaukee or the longest Homer ever hit in county stadium
I love this park! I actually got a nasty leg cramp my whole ride on Fairly Odd Coaster 🤣 but I still enjoyed the ride

Sweet! Adventureland is my very small home park and Monster is by far the best Gerstlauer I've been on. Hopefully now that Palace owns it they will start to expand it. The park does have a lot of potential.
The prior owners were doing a great job expanding, hopefully Palace keeps going
@@AirtimeThrills the environment is right. With the friendly competition of Lost Continent opening this summer (it might already be open) I can see these two parks growing together. We just need to do something with Tornado. And maybe a tech upgrade for The Underground. That ride is so cheesy it's good....well...you know what I mean.
I think Jaguar is slightly better based on the number of skulls in the queue, an integral part of any family coaster.

What is the best/cheapest way to get that credit at Cosmo Town? Also how long were the wait at the Mall of America. Pretty cool they left home plate. I thought they did that but never saw it.
At Como town you can walk into the park and just buy enough tickets for the ride so it should just be a few bucks, but i thought we had to enter the zoo so i made the suggested donation plus bought 35 bucks worth of ride tickets so i didnt do it all that efficiently. Most of the lines at the mall of america were 5 minutes

I can't wait for your opinion of Pantheon. Everyone is saying the back is the best and I say the front is. I felt like I got way more airtime in the front. The only positive to the back is you get higher on the spike. Be warned though. I was just at Busch Gardens for 2 days and Pantheon was down for almost the entire 2nd day.
