- After my less-than-stellar experience at another car wash in Independence ( • Hilariously Bad Mark V... ), I I hit up Google Maps the next day to find another one nearby. It ended up having a system I've never seen or heard of before: The Accutrac 360 by Petit Auto Wash. It did a great job, and it was FAST. I can't ever remember being caught so off guard by the end of a wash cycle. While I question the value of getting the $10 wash over the $8 one at this particular location, I loved the system.

Here are the wash steps.
Pass 1: "Magic Wash" presoak.
Pass 2: Rainbow Polish
Pass 3: High pressure with Knights Armor Protectant.
Pass 4: Spot Free Rinse

Undercarriage/underspray is when u enter the wash before u get the red stop light and dryers r when u exit when the green light is lit

UPDATE: Turns out that they installed another AccuTrac 360 in the other bay.
So does that mean that's the soft touch version or is it 2 touchless bays with this wash system

@@MJMR5557sorry for the late reply, but both automatic bays here used to have Southern Pride Tailgunners.
Looking on streetview, this place used to have Southern Pride Tailgunners or Turbos in both bays until 2014 when both were ripped out and this bay had the accutrac installed, and the other bay being empty for years until 2019
PETIT means little in French. I guess that means it's made by LITTLE Auto Wash, Inc!
The funny thing is how it is named *“Petit”* and I laughed so hard when he said *Petit* cause I thought it was a hilarious word lol. And it’s really funny how the sprayers move like *chickchickchickichick* and I kinda laughed lol. And it was so funny at the end of the wash it was still spraying water on his car..... that was so funny. It was a funny video.

Are those touch free systems really able to clean a car....I'd love to see a really dirty car put through one
+IrishGuitarist1 The idea is that the chemicals (like presoak) loosen up the grime, and the high-pressure cycles knock it off of the car. I've had better luck in some than others. From my experience, the good 'ol D&S 5000 seems to be one of the best when a car is really dirty.
+The Elevator Channel Touch free systems are not common in the UK (and I assume Ireland as well). Would they work on a car like mine which gets washed at most twice a year (and is outdoors most of the time)?
Drive through dryers are also not usual, except in tunnel washers, in automatic bays the dryers move over the car.
I've actually seen someone have bugs and lots of mud on their car, and when they went through the Accutrac 360, the wash just rinsed it right off. And the top washer is able to handle a distance as far as five feet.
That had to have been the fastest in-bay I've ever seen.

I have seen Petit's Accutrac tunnel component before, but never one of their inbay units. They seem to be quite rare, even though they are currently in production. This is probably due to a lack of marketing by Petit Wash Systems.
+SF Car Wash Channel I'm surprised there aren't more of them around. It seemed very well made, efficient for the owner (fast wash cycle and few moving parts), and attractive to customers--especially with the lighting effects. Plus it seemed to do an excellent job cleaning the car.
The trick that Petit Wash Systems uses to produce such a clean car is having nozzles that produce larger droplets of water/chemicals. It increases the water pressure and chemical coverage without changing back room requirements.
Costco apparently likes the Accutrac 360-T (the tunnel variant of this system) and uses it in several of their sites (including in Seattle and Dana Point). Not many others seem to be using them, and I blame this on Petit Wash Systems's low profile and lack of marketing of their systems.
+SF Car Wash Channel I think MacNeil owns them in some way now, hence the inclusion with their systems
+MASTERNC I don't think that is the case. Accutrac units are probably seen more frequently in MacNeil tunnels because MacNeil developed the BluWave profiler. These may not seem related, but Petit produces a fairly successful competing unit called the Wash Robot. The Wash Robot operates using arms instead of a sliding mechanism, which eliminates some maintenance. Breeze Thru is known to have 3 Wash Robots and Costco also operates them at their sites.

Great video and thoughts. I’ve always been interested in consumers perception of a longer wash time equals more value. Where as a quicker wash time equals they are getting their money’s worth.
