- I'm not usually a fan of "mini tunnels", but this one did a great job. As per usual, a lot of things happened very quickly so I had to make use of both cameras to catch it all. Follow me on:

WOW. This video is amazing! I *LOVE* The shot of the 3X Foamers! I Might steal that idea whenever I find a new mini-tunnel to film CX Also, a neat fact about this car wash is that it uses Soft Cloth- the failed predecessor to foambrite! Its a brutal open-celled cloth that swirls and scratches the heck out of your clearcoat.
Lol, thanks. That's one of the upsides to the 2-camera setup--I was able to sit there zoomed in and waiting for them to start while I used footage from the dash camera. As for Soft Cloth, wow. I guess one of the advantages to driving a 14-year-old car is that I don't really worry about the paint very much anymore! Come to think of it, I should probably do some kind of special video on my car's 15th "birthday".
Car Wash Studios Extra stupid question: Have you ever seen a soft cloth Ryko system before in person? I saw one once at a gas station's XS2, but other than that FoamBrite has been on every one I have seen. I am still looking for a filament one though.
Nope. Also, SoftCloth was only released on the Voyager II And tunnels. What you saw was probably NeoGlide or some replacement material.

The ones that I go to are just spraying the car in the wash. In the end of the wash is a dryer or blower to dried the car. I kind of missed the old school McDonald’s restaurant buildings. I grew up going to that style of building from the 1970’s,80’s,90’s,2000’s and till about 2014 or something. The one that I liked to go that the old one was torn down and rebuilt from the ground up. The other one was remodeled from inside and out. There is two McDonald’s in that town that is about 40-45 minutes away from my home which is the nearest.

I have never seen an unmanned mini tunnel ever in my life. I would assume they’re not every common.
There used to be a ton in my state, but very few are left unfortunately.

GREAT video! What sort of mount do you use to get your second camera on your visor? And you have a Toyota Avalon right? They last a while and are great cars!
If you search Amazon or Ebay for "sun visor camera mount", you'll find plenty of them. It's just a little plastic clip with a tripod screw on the bottom. Usually $6 or less. Bear in mind that the camera will mount upside down--footage has to be flipped in a video editor. And yes, it's a 2000 Toyota Avalon in very good shape. It's required some minor maintenance lately (new tires, shocks, headlight bulbs, touch-up paint, etc), but still going strong. I have no plans to replace it for at least a few more years. At this rate, it could easily make it to 20 years old. Fantastic car.

me and my friends would've taken a 2008 Scion xb to that ryko velvet touch 2000 tunnel car wash at the shell gas station in chesterfield mo and i noticed that the 2 tall side brushes did not rotate that well.

Down in Katie Texas there's There's a buckys gas station with a really long tunnel wash you ever head down that way check it out

zachmamaw1 ***** LMAO. As I Have said for at least the tenth time (I Sound like a parrot) The Infamous Ryko startup chime is to let anyone know in the bay or around that the wash is starting and you should stay clear. I know, its pretty pointless, but it is just a safety precaution.

Ryko does not manufacture that anymore. In fact they don’t manufacture any type of tunnel equipment anymore besides MacNeil which they own.

That's slower than Autecs brushes...
Those are softcloth brushes, they are open-celled and HEAVY. The wraps need to spin at a slow RPM so they don't damage a car.

Ryko tunnels are so bad... Especially that they are never maintained. They have a simple concept but are way over designed. Especially the wraps. If you look to the left of the tunnel you can see a long mitter strip on the wrap. Kinda funny!
