I just looked at my video where I was walking past them from 15:34 full-screen, but I don't know enough about building and materials to see any obvious faults, e.g. joining materials in a way that's likely not to last. What has always struck me is that the style is somehow non-English. I'm tempted to say they'd be more at home in Holland or Germany, but that's only an impression.
Fair point. I must use the word more. Of course, in Oxford, years shade into decades, which shade into centuries, which shade into millennia. So I get used to thinking of everything as happening last year, even if it was the University being founded.
