Zora The Fox Shifter I'm sorry to hear that and it's people like you who I made the video for. People will ignore you because "you're young" even though you can be completely right. If sharing this video with people you know helps, then it was worth making. I also love your avatar :)
+Zora “Penrose” The Fox Shifter I ignore 'em. One time I was in ISS (In-school suspension) drawing my teacher as a pony. She saw that I kept staring at her, and she was like 'Are you drawing me?'. I said. "Well... yes... as a mythical cartoon character." She's like 'whaddya mean?" and I just know that If I say it, everyone would be like 'wtf?', but I took a breath and said 'I'm drawing you as a pony'. So everyone's looking at me weird and freaking out, and I'm just laughing because I just got the class to be chaotic and loud even though we were supposed to stay quiet. Try to be lighthearted about the teasing. Don't let it get to you and laugh it off. If there's something that doesn't help you out, there's no reason to fret over it. It is unimportant and useless.
I'm fourteen, and I'm a Brony. I can relate somewhat to people judging you for being a Brony. I had two girls laugh at me last year while I was walking around the track at my school with my friends. There'll always be anti-bronies though. Sometimes I get weird looks and all that, but I'd rather embrace being a Brony than hide it. In fact, most of the people at my school know I'm a Brony. There's actually a few Bronies at my school, maybe 11 of them. xD
If you, a 13 year old girl, are scrutinized for liking it, imagine what it's like to be a 30 year old man in that same situation(not me personally, but still).
Nice, Now to put this into the Weirder statement. Anti-Bronies Converted me as it sparked my love of Despair... I can feel the nights I spent in the Emily Strange forum coming back to me, as a Prophet of Despair and Dark humor. Maybe, maybe I can be creative again... It has been years. daimyo7.deviantart.com/art/The-One-Side-Mirror-35894494
I enjoyed this a lot, it was very informative and true to the point but as I always say if you don't like something leave it alone and if you like something someone else dose not like don't talk to them about it.
I'm not a brony. I never watched MLP thus I can't say that I like or dislike the show, but what I absolutely DESPISE is when people bully MLP fans. Why would you ever bully anyone just because they like something??? I've been told by everyone that they're old obese basement-dwelling guys and/or little annoying fangirls, but guess what... _IT'S NOT EVEN TRUE! (well, maybe a part of that isn't)_ I've got a friend that likes MLP. She's a young girl who likes a variety of anime and cartoons. But I didn't even know she likes MLP because she was keeping it a secret from everyone the reason being scared of what people might think of her! Us hating on MLP fans keeps them from enjoying the show and drastically lowers their self-esteem!
El Skeletor what he's trying to say is that anti bronies should just ignore bronies, like you. not saying you are a brony, but saying that they should ignore them, like you do!
***** Thanks for the...Translation I guess? LoL. But yeah, you should just ignore people who don't like you/what you like. Their most likely just trying to get a reaction out of you. Either that or they have a point for not liking you. An example is that youre a murderer. I won't like you because of that.
You know who really needs to be analysed? Anti-bronies. They're the real headcases. They say stuff I'd expect to come from a racist or a homophobe. They're complete hypocrities when it comes to what they criticize bronies for and most of them act like complete psychos!
True but anti-bronies take their hate to way bigger extremes then I've seen for anyone else. I've seen them say things that are beyond foul and it's amazing that they think they're the normal ones with their kind of thinking. A brony had killed himself because of these anti-bronies (a kid btw) and the fact that they still think they're the normal ones and that we have the problem just disgusts me.
The thing is, you can be an anti brony without being in the antibrony group. There is a difference between being disgusted at bronies and being so disgusted that you join a group dedicated to hating them. The antibrony group is an extremist group that does extremist actions. For larger scale example, it's like the difference between being mad at the U.S. and joining Al Qaeda. You can be mad at the U.S. and not be responsible, but if you are angry enough to join an extremist group, you're part of that extremist group and unless you directly protest to the rest of the group that their actions are going to far, you are also responsible.
I wouldn't even mind anti-bronies if they actually had some good arguments, the best real argument they have is that the fandom is everywhere and annoying which isn't very strong either.
Simon Petrikov As I like to say: "Which group would you rather be a part of: one dedicated to loving a TV show, or one dedicated to hating other people?"
Simon Petrikov To be honest like 50 to 70 % of the people on the internet judges other for the most minor of things, also most people forget (more like ignore) the fact that every community will have It's fair share of "filth and no community will be safe from said "filth".
***** bullying someone to the point that they kill themselves is fun? Bronies aren't even hurting anyone alot of people were abused because of jealousy and hate and i dont get why you people even hate us?your kind disgusts bullying 9 year olds for liking a show. and there are even worse people who does drugs kill other people and rape 5-12 year olds and you waste your time going over a pointless argument about bronies who you will never change his/hers opinion about the show.
cant understand you. the guy you replied to said "Can't understand why there is people who decide to spend their time insulting or harassing other ones for liking a TV series" and you said "because its fun" i thought were a anti brony.soz
they seriously pushed bronies so far to the point of suiciding and laughed?! thats just messed up! i mean seriously if a person likes a show you don't like you don't have to bash them over the head because of it
MaxTheEnderlord100 even if i'am a brony myself i have to say that all anti bronies who laughed at the kid who throw himself under a train are actually right, if the kid was weak and wasn't able to handle insults on the internet his parents shouldn't let him go on the internet, so it was a mistake of his parents, not anti brony
Indie Time no it isn't. It's both, the parents for what you stated and the anti-bronies for going that far anyway. Who in the right mind laughs at someone trying to kill themselves. Only psychopaths would find that funny.
I am an anti brony, but this is probably the only anti brony that has accurate reasons. I myself can't come up with anything more then they're watching a show that could make them befriend Hitler if they were drunk enough, which isn't really good.I should stop being anti brony, but anti mlp, because mlp is the thing I really don't like.
Also, for the skeptics in the audience: notice how Nimaru provides all these points WITHOUT getting into why he likes the show, or why the show is good. To me, this shows that these arguments would still be valid even if MLP:FIM was a terrible show. Bronies can like what they want to like, regardless of what you think of the material in question.
Yeah! This is his only video I've seen and I couldn't even tell he was a brony. I thought he was just an outsider who had never seen the show standing up for an abused fandom.
ShalMusicFX Thank you for noticing :) This video was designed to be watched by bronies and non-bronies alike. I would like to make a "Why I watch" video later, but that's a different one entirely.
This was an awesome video, and I agree with it too. I'm not a hardcore fan of the show, but I'm really tired of people judging or ridiculing bronies. They really aren't that bad, and never were to begin with. All they're doing is liking a show, that's all.
***** Why exactly? How are cloppers hurting anyone? As long as they keep it to their own websites and don't spam mainstream brony groups, there isn't really a problem with it. I don't get why a group that's so sick of being attacked by the majority then turns around and hates on a minority within themselves.
Bud Charles Well, there's some clopper content that comes right out of the blue. But to me, what's worse than a clopper is whoever are the people who made Cupcakes, or Smile HD, Sweet Apple Massacre, Cherilee's Garden, etc. Seriously, I saw one picture of Sweet Apple Massacre (that just simply looked EVIL) and now I am scared to go to sleep, and that was like a week ago. Now I take my Bible and my stuffed animal I had since I was 4, hugged them both tightly, and mentally pray that I wouldn't get any dreams from it. I am no longer scared of a lot of things from what I have seen X_X.
I’ve always sat on the fence with the whole MLP and Brony thing. I have experienced both sides the last few years and found they can be as bad as each other in forcing their hate/love. Personally I have never seen the show but I really just don’t get all the hate for those who do. At the end of the day, it’s just a cartoon. Watching a cartoon is not going to start the fall of mankind because some people enjoy something aimed at children. Also, just because its main demographic is girls, doesn't mean males who watch it will become feminized or turn homosexual like so many of the haters claim. (I kid you not I have seen those two statements used almost EVERY time a hater fights back.) I like the movies, Wreak it Ralph and Kung Fu Panda which are aimed at kids but I also like Alien 1 and 2. Age and sex means nothing when it comes to movies and TV. It's about what you enjoy. But I also agree that some, not all but some Bronies do force it onto people when it’s not needed. I’ve been on forums talking about video games, movies and so on and someone will post a brony meme or clip. This then sends the ‘haters’ into a rage war. My advice, if you don’t like it, don’t watch it. If you do like it, don’t keep forcing it onto others when it’s not appropriate. And if you’re like me in the middle…grab some popcorn and watch this never ending war of Bronies Vs Haters. As one day, both sides will realize just how stupid this whole thing really is. I remember when I was at school, I watched the Power Puff Girls but I never told anybody for the fear of what people would think about me watch a ‘girls’ cartoon. Years later, I found out that many of my friends also watched it! Just, watch whatever you want and enjoy it. Life too short to hate each other over a cartoon. There are bigger problems is this world without adding to them.
Arrow Valley I totally agree i may be a brony but that doesn't make me less of a man and I know better than to force something on someone if they don't like it.
@@Spartan-cs4sj same here im a brony but i still enjoy really hevy metal music and the deadpool movies so if i cant tell how a fried of mine or a random person will react if they find out im a brony im not even concidering letting them find out about it
It doesn't matter if I'm on a completely irrelevant channel, people always need to comment on my avatar and call me out. I can be watching something by Markiplier, 331Erock, Ashens, Zero Punctuation, Jared Dines or Rob Scallon, it doesn't matter. There is always, ALWAYS someone who puts themselves on a pedestal and talks down on me like they know better. Most of the time, I just ignore them or outright block them. But then there are times where I commit the unholy sin of striking back, all with no avail. All I wish in the future is that people who criticize others on their tastes would take the time to actually get to know the person they talk to before jumping to conclusions. I am a fan of literally HUNDREDS of hobbies, MLP only being one of them. I can guarantee that I can relate to almost anyone out there. All they have to do is meet me in the middle. So to all the anti-bronies reading this comment and getting ready to say something snarky, I'm waiting for you right here to be civil.
K4RN4GE911 I hate when they make comments about my picture that are irrelevant to my actual comment, but usually it isn't an issue because a lot of my comments are on atheist channels.
Yeah, I have this Minecraft profile pic that I worked hard on, people tell me crap about how I am some "8 year old Minecraft fanboy who obsesses over everything about Minecraft" I am not. I want to have a different profile pic but I don't know a good one that people won't kill me over, then make a new profile name about that profile pic. It took me forever to make up this profile name. I know more people who are adults than kids who like Minecraft. One time I was playing at a college and I heard someone go "Minecraaaaft! (Something about Minecraft)"
I think the reason why bronies are so hated (and why there are yet so many of them) on TH-cam is because of the age group of the people on TH-cam. They are usually about 12-20 years old. Teens are frequently judgmental about stuff like MLP. If you went to a forum that had a bunch of actual adults, you'd hardly see any actual HATE against bronies. Think about it, you can even look up "bronies suck" and you find either kids or teens. The only person I know who actually HATES on stuff is DSP, and it's regular practice to point out his stupidity. In short, the actual haters are just a bunch of teens, I am a teen myself, but I know better than to do many of the mistakes that teens do. EDIT: I forgot to mention that a bunch of bronies are also teens, which explains the porn (puberty) and why there are a lot of bronies on TH-cam.
I do not believe it is right to just let someone watch or do whatever they feel they like. If you did that, you would have to accept people who take drugs, watch horror movies, and cut themselves. If an anti-Brony believes the show is bad, and has a bad effect on us and them, then I think they are in the right to tell people about it, and give their opinion on what the problem is. However, most anti-Bronies I have seen comment have just complained about how Bronies are bad because they watch a show made for girls. This, I think, is completely baseless, as a show can still be good for everyone to watch, no matter what demographic it was made for.
fould13 I agree. Not everything should be tolerated, but if there really is something wrong about this show in particular, I'd like to hear a solid reason. So far, after five years, I haven't encountered one.
HoplooWare I think horror movies hurt the people watching them, and everyone that they interact with. From what I can see, it deadens them emotionally.
HoplooWare Still, it's main focus is horrible, and the one thing people mainly like about it is horrible. As they watch more of it, the 'shock' they get from it becomes less and less as they are more and more used to the death and disgusting violence. To me, this seems like it hardens them, and makes it harder for them to emotionally feel. They may like it, but it doesn't mean it's good for them. Even though it is just fiction, it changes their view of reality, likely making them see everything in a much duller and probably darker light.
HoplooWare I don't think you can know how bad a person is or their emotional well being by what television they watch, but you can have a good idea of what emotional well being they likely have. I don't think dark fiction leads directly to violence in real life, but I do think it changes your mind, even if it is just subconsciously. In fact, I think all fiction changes your mind in some way, but the type of effect it has depends on what it leads you to believe. I think that there are probably millions of people who watch horror movies but have never violently attacked someone directly because of it. But just because it doesn't lead to physical violence in real life, doesn't mean it has no negative effects on people. For horror movies or anything like it to be so focused on death and disgusting scenarios, I don't see how they can have anything but bad effects on people. I'd think the only way people could enjoy watching them is if they focused on death and disgusting scenarios themselves.
HoplooWare But how, how can you watch something focused on death, be focused on and enjoy the grotesqueness of it, and not be mentally changed by it? Sure, people have stronger emotion when they watch something, and it leaves a feeling that eventually fades. But your mind is also changed by what you watch, and both what you consciously accept, and what you unconsciously absorb, change what you think about reality.
cameron beaty Happy to help. Feel free to use this video as a resource when discussing bronies to save time or add some weight when someone won't listen because they know you (if that makes sense).
Mark Moreiras Man, that is the dumbest thing I've heard all day. That's like how they used to say that people playing video games screams "school shooter".
I once hated MLP, but a good friend of mine said: "I know you don't judge by the looks, so why don't you try to watch a couple MLP videos?" And I was like "Kay" and now I'm a Pegasister! Thought I don't know if I'm old enough to be called like this...
I really like the way you explained it! I totally agree. Especially with the whole "Bronies asking you to watch it" thing. I keep bothering my friend ***** to at least watch the first 2 episodes, and if he doesn't like it than that's it. I won't ask for him to watch any episodes anymore. I mean of course I would ask him to watch some Brony fanmade TH-cam videos every once and a while that maybe I found funny. I do hate when he just rejects and says I need help though. Like dude, just watch it, cut me some slack. It's not gonna kill you. People need to learn that you can't just judge people by what they watch because it's "girly", cause' in the end, we are no different than any other Fandom.
You know, I may not be a brony myself, but I still see why a lot of people could enjoy the show and honestly the community is one of the greatest's, of course there are a lot of people who will dismiss it as even I did at some point, ignorance out shines reality a lot of the time when people like I don't take the time to actually see what the community is all about. And honestly, the brony and overall MLP community are filled with kind, intelligent and talented people, it's a shame that the community gets so much hate just because of a change in the norm that society paints. I have to say listening to songs like this, and seeing a lot of the effort put into videos like it make you realize that the community, is very much that, a community with a bunch of people collaborating together to make such great things, take pretty much any video made on the fandom, and you'll notice that they almost all have a collaborative effort of composing, editing and of course animation, and honestly we need a lot more of that in our own world outside of the fandom. I mean like when you think about it, a lot of them just watch a tv show, or watch it online. How could that be such a dismissal of approval about someone you don't even know because they like or even love a tv show. If someone loved adventure time, had a bunch of figures for it and made there own character that would be okay but because it's mlp, suddenly it's not? And if you think the show is directed towards children then why not let Lauren Faust, the creator of this rendition of tell her side. "I didn't create this show for little girls, I created it for little girls and their parents including male parents. It only stands to reason that adult animation fans without children may like it too. The belief that boys shouldn't be interested in girl things is the main reason there's hardly anything decent for girls animation or almost any media for that matter. It's a backwards, sexist and outdated attitude" -Lauren Faust I don't feel like I have to write anymore as I bet people who don't like the show and don't really know anything about it will still dismiss it as a girls show yet will find it awesome that a girl is in the lobby playing Counter-Strike or Cod, it doesn't really make much sense. Any guy that has a compassionate side is a lot of times thought as homosexual, yet again, when a girl is interested in what guys like, it's seen as being really cool. These double standards are killing me, and your probably dead already if you've read this far, but thank you if you have, and like it if you want others to see it. Edit: If you see this, go ahead in spread it. Don't even credit me, what matters is that the message is spread do it in anyway you would like. I'm not saying you have to do anything, your life, your rules, but if you're like me and feel as if people misrepresent what bronies are then might as well show it! Thanks :). All Credit's go to SuperXforce Sorpion
Another thing that I've noticed is that most of the hate is towards Bronies only, not Pegasisters. I do believe the reason is as stated in the video, that men aren't socially allowed to enjoy content aimed at females because that means that they aren't "masculine".
I must say, you have made a wonderful review about the whole situation, thank you for being unbiased and giving a good defense. Now, yes, we might have some slight issues, but not everyone's perfect. I am glad to see you give this review.
You did a beautiful job on this video. You attention to detail and hitting your respective points clearly was awesome. Some people hate just to simply hate and feel better for themselves. But damn if a lot don't take it too far. The part about them laughing at that kid was awful. And they say we're the monsters.
more people need to see this!!! I love the points you make and I agree with them. there is only one correction I have to make. female fans are pegasisters. not bronys. of course its not a popular term but think about it like this. the female section of the fandom started feeling left out so they made a new term for themselves. it didn't really work. lol
something I forgot to add the fat neckbeards part. ofcorse there are people like that. but do I look like I care? no, no I don't. moral of the story, don't make stereotypes
It depends on the fan. Some are fine with calling themselves "pegasisters" (which is actually a pretty cool term, imho) while others simply call themselves "Bronies" or-at most "Girl Bronies." A rose is a rose is a rose, after all...
Not a brony, most likely never will be, but this video was fantastic. Very well done. I already understood and respected bronies but this really helped me understand to an Evernote further extent. Needs to go viral.
This guy is right. I used to judge guys for liking the show. But once I saw it for my self I loved it. I think liking my little pony just adds another difference we all have. "We all have stuff in common, the same earth, the same sky and the same air, if we all look at what's the same than what's different... well who knows."
My motto is if they aren't harming anyone leave them alone, simple. I don't like Brony culture but they aren't harming me so I don't really care what they do.
The beginning of the video says it perfectly. Most people are actually like "yo" - they don't really care about it. There are just a few yet very obsessed, closed minded haters around who see it as their goal in life to "set everything back in order" aka males don't watch "girl's stuff". Whenever you see a hater ignore / mark as spam and don't reply!
Thank god someone got their shit together and went into an in depth video on why we like what we like. Thank you for making this. I've sent this to a few people who've hated me for what I love and they shut up completely about it afterwards and haven't harassed me about it to this day.
I'd heard about the kids that attempted/committed suicide but not about the reaction from the anti-bronies until now. I've got to tell you, I haven't been *this* disgusted in a long time.
It's really refreshing to finally find a video like this after I've been arguing with anti-bronies for the last month and a half. I don't why, maybe it's some sort of strange masochism, but it keeps sneaking up on me wherever I go and it's always the same conversation every time. The same unoriginal, demonstrably false, and easily defeated reasons. I want to stop getting involved but some of the comments are just so ignorant and misinformed I can't help myself.
5:43 so true I was in art talking about Apple jack as best pony and this kid who is always so quiet was like, " rainbow dash Is best pony" and everyone at the table turned to him. I though *hey maybe he just knows main 6* then I said, "well, who is best for Big Mac?" And he said "cherilee" without even looking up from his drawing.
Let's be honest. If the show was named something else like "The Legend of the Alicorn" there wouldn't be any hate. Even if there was still hate it wouldn't be like "Oh your gay." or whatever. BTW why does a show determined your sexuality anyway? People are so judgemental. I don't care if you don't like the show, just don't pressure me into why you don't like it. Because I sure won't pressure you to like it.
Also there is nothing wrong with watching a kid show of you're an adult. I watch kid shows all the time for nostalgia and because I plainly like the show.
Man, I just want to thank you. Finally, someone is putting out a well-informed video that anti-bronies can't respond hatefully to and make a valid point. You're the real MVP. Stay brony my friend. :)
I'm a Brony and I keep that to myself at school and in public, and I wouldn't wear a Rainbow Dash costume, that's not why I'm a Brony....I like the fanfic and the backstory behind, not to mention the worlds gorgeous Navy Blue Princess
All the really fucked up people seem to be on the anti-Brony side, yet they never try to police their own, even when they expect Bronies to do so. It's so hypocritical and really shows their lack of self-awareness and human decency. The anti-Bronies condone and enable the extremist anti-Bronies, their silence is their consent, their inaction speaks volumes of who they truly are.
Artie Knight YT dude don't be a complete ass about this,i mean I know your just saying this to get other people pissed off but I mean really even you thought your post was incredibly stupid
I'm directing a satire of the Brony Fandom right now. I used to be a fan of the show, but now I just see it as a cringey phase I went through. I don't dislike the show or the fans, I'm just not entertained by any of this anymore. I've been looking at a lot of sites and vids for research. I found this video embedded into a website about Bronies. I decided to open the video in a new tab because I wanted to see the like to dislike ratio. I was surprised that the ratio is actually pretty good, but what caught me off guard was that... ...I had liked the video. I must've watched this and forgotten about it. I scrolled down and there are comments that I liked on the vid. They're over 4 years old. It was at this point that I kind of froze up and realized how much time has passed since I was in high school and was involved in the fandom. There was once a side of me that truly loved all of this and I'm sad that it's gone. I'm especially upset that I can't even remember being here. I'm upset that I don't remember what happened during a time when I know I was happier. Maybe this wasn't just some cringey phase.
i agree with all of your points but 4:38 there are thousands of videos on youtube of furries in their fursuits going to public places like parks, stores, etc.

You know, haters are pretty blinkered. No matter what they hate, by the way. So I don't think any of them will watch this video entirely, and even if they do, it is unlikely that they would change their mind. But nice video though, if some of my friends come to be a little doubtful about my passion, I know what to show them to reassure them :)
Curiosity killed the cat with me. I just wanted to see what the big deal was. After watching the entire first season I still didn't get it. But a brony online suggested I at least watch the Discord episodes and after I did I bought a Rarity plush. Holy snap how foolish was I to not get into this much sooner. I met some of the coolest people through MLP. It made my world bigger and I've became more tolerant. I lost some friends and was bullied online but it doesn't faze me. I get flak from bronies and non bronies alike for being a weed smoking brony, but that's a whole other issue ;) Great video.
Anti-Brony here. Well, former anti-brony, now more of a simple outsider. Speaking as a former anti-brony, I can say this video doesn't quite strike at the core behind the hate. Concerns 1&2: It's really mainly the trolls, and the Fox News stories which bring these things up, not the genuine haters. Most of us don't really care what TV you watch, it's more about how bronies tend to conduct themselves. Honestly the insinuation that people dislike bronies simply because of gender stereotypes or because it's a kid friendly show is a bit insulting to us. It makes us sound like closed minded bigoted idiots, when it almost always comes down to more substantive issues. Concern 3: This is where a lot of genuine hate comes in. You're right when you claimed we were tired of all the pony content that's anywhere and everywhere. I would argue that most of the hate here is for the imagery and not the fans themselves as much, and can you blame us for being burnt out and frustrated with it all? Concern 4: This is it, this is the heart of it all. Bronies are extremely pushy about their fandom and act very defensive when people dislike it. I would argue that Bronies are on average more pushy than the sports or racing fans you bring up. I have NEVER been pushed to try and get into Nascar or baseball or whatever by any superfan. Bronies have pushed their show on me at every opportunity they have gotten. And when I tell them I have seen the show and don't like it, bronies are so shocked and have demanded explanations as to why. The only other fandom I have experienced this with is Sonic fans. But, it isn't only the pushiness. The more annoying thing about bronies is the defensiveness. Y'know let me bring up a story that illustrates exactly why I turned against the MLP fans. Years back I used to write fanfiction. I know, I know, I hate me too. Shitty fanfiction, of course (like there are any good ones) but yeah, I wrote the shit. One day I wrote some half assed MLP fanfiction, and toward the end I made some little dig calling the show "objectively terrible." I clarified that it was only a joke in the very next sentence and yet still, I got harassed by bronies for days. In no other fandom have I seen such defensiveness, and it's the reason I hated them for so many years. You talk a lot about how what you see from bronies is "no different" from other fandoms, but really, bronies have displayed, in my experience, a special level of intensity that I fully believe is the reason for the particular hate they get.
You have spoken truth about the brony's intensity. I have encountered some who are rather intense to people who either say they've: A: Watched the show, didn't like it B: Doesn't understand why people like it C: Fellow bronies who poke fun at the fandom. ... and so on. The bronies can be intense, which disturbs me at points.
+RayLedgend But you have to ask yourself what came first. The intensity and defensiveness or the hate? For me Im only really defensive when the extreme anti-bronies go nuts. And what better way to vent than by yelling millions of insults at a guy I will promptly ignore once I get the anger and hate out of my system? Hell thats the only good any trolls serve in my mind. Furious? Take it out on them and then leave before it builds up again. Worked for me so far.
+RayLedgend Generalizations abound on both sides. There are most certainly a a plethora of closed minded bigots and people who hate us because of gender stereotypes. Likewise there are obsessive, psychotic, pushy, defensive bronies out there. These types make the rest of us look bad while we sigh and shake our heads at them. Basically, I'm saying there are a lot more people that are not only normal, but really awesome and artistic. You've seen the worst of us. It happens when there is a fandom this big. It's not really something the rest of us have much control over.
"No more sailor moon, it's girly. So boys can't watch it" "You can't watch that anime, there are girls in it. You're a boy, so you can't look at girls." "You can't look at bras or purses, they're for girls. If you look at them you're going to jail" "Males can't have daughters, because daughters are females and females are girls." "{Insert more stupid quotes that make that "point" look as stupid as it is.}"
I agree this what this world accept as manliness is ridiculous. Everyone can enjoy a quality cartoon and adults can too because adults are just grown-up kids.
Y'all make really good points. I think most people have the issue with the in-your-face, disgusting, or weird behavior. But its true, sports fans are literally the same thing.
bejarny there is a difference between liking a show enough to be inspired to make something great and being so obsessed that you can’t live without it you obviously don’t know what obsession is
I know a couple of girls that like my little pony. They liked it before I really got to know them and it made me consider watching an episode or two... and what do you know? I'm a 15 year old, stereo-typically English teenager that likes my little pony. I never thought of myself to be the kind of person to get involved in a fandom but these things come to you unexpectedly, even when they are totally foreign to you and your personality. Nobody should judge or take any offense from people who do. However, on occasion, people do take their own lives and honestly I give 100% remorse to them. I hope this comment helps someone!
MLP FiM as helped me alot in life, such as right now I'm fighting school. You may think "it's just school" but no, not for me. I also cannot stand myself for not being open about being a brony irl but on the internet. I need courage and support from you, the actually NICE people. Pls help.
Those are good points. I guess I should be more open and understanding to differences. It's sad that those boys attempted suicide or succeeded. I guess my perspective kinda was coming from not knowing the content, and wanting to be manly myself and therefore reject the appearance of weakness, fragililty and femininity which is what the show seems to represent. I still wouldn't watch it because I think that other things demonstrate masculinity better than it might be referenced to in the show, but i'm more understanding now.
This was a fantastic way to explain to people what bronies are, what they aren't, and how they are no different than any other enthusiastic fan community. I will definitely be referencing people to this video when they tell me all about how bonies creep them out. Many people's lives have been positively impacted by this show and the brony community, myself included. I think a lot of people would do well to be a little more open minded and experience something like BronyCon for themselves, you just don't know what it feels like until you're in amongst the crowd.
Me and my boyfriend love mop. And our kids are going to at least be introduced to the show. If they end up liking it and they get beat up and bullied for him liking ponies then their parents are doing something terribly wrong.... Boys and girls should be introduced to the different genders fan base. Like this guy says. Girls are appreciated for liking games, and action gif urges and being a total tomboy. Then why are boys bullied for liking ponies? A girl isn't lesbian for being a tomboy 100% of the time. And guys shouldn't be defined gay for liking girl stuff. And I know what gay means. In everyone's mind at least... But also most of you don't know the true meaning of gay. If my kids are ever called gay I will take that as a compliment. Because, (seeing if you ever watched the clone tones or not -.-) Gay actually means Happy.
As a Brony (or a Pegisister technically since I'm a girl but I prefer Brony.) I can say yeah there are some people who go alittle over board but doesn't every fandom have them? There are no fandoms that have all perfect fans in them, you will always have those few people that are pushy, that go over board, that are rude. That's just part of life, and if people blame all Bronies because of the actions of the over board ones well then you might as well judge the anime fans, the sports fans, the books fans, the cartoon fans, and all the fandoms as well because they all have over board fans in there fandom as well. I know some good people who are bronies, and I know some over board bronies. Either way we aren't all over board so stop putting us in a box and trying to make us kill ourselves.
+Lord Danomien So? It's just an artist showing his art, he obviously likes MLP and that other game and decided to combine them. Other fandoms do it too, MLP has a lot of amazing artists, singers, animators, and more. It would be surprising if we didn't show our appreciation for the show in our talents.
+Lord Danomien Yeah it's called a Cutiemark. Every pony has one, they get it when they discover their destiny which they usually find when there a foal. Seriously have you not watched at least one episode of the show before you argue about it with fanart?
+Lord Danomien Okay I didn't know that, now that is something that is alittle disturbing (especially for a cutiemark) but still that is only one person who created that. Like I said, you can't base the whole fandom on a few bad people. Now since I have seen your pictures can you see my good Brony proof? Now I am new to this coping and pasting but on TH-cam check out "MLP Isn't it Great to be Different?" Or "Lullaby for a Princess" they both are amazing. There are a lot I could recommend but I decided to just recommend those two because you showed me two pictures. I hope you check them out, they are really cool and I hope if you do check them out that you injoy them.
+Lord Danomien I don't really see a problem with it, I think that an artist should do whatever makes them happy but I guess I could understand how someone could get annoyed with that, I mean if I saw Teen Titans Go instead of Teen Titans if I googled it I would be annoyed too so I guess I could see what you are saying.
God...whats wrong with being a brony? I mean, to drive someone to suicide thats just...ugh, this is the problem with earth. See ya, I'm going back to harmonical Equestria!
I honestly believe that this entire gender stereotyping thing is ridiculous. It's the equivalency of attacking each other for no apparent reason. I mean, i like the awesome fanart people make for mlp and it really has encouraged creativity among thousands. As said in the video above, all of the negative reasons thrown at Bronies are also found within every other fandom, and the Bronies are one of the only ones to get judged for it, and to such a degree that it threatens people's lives, because they can only handle so much abuse. It's disgusting. Its like racism in the way that it used to be normal to oppress and target people for their race and colour, and now it is shunned. And i find it funny that people hate racism but they don't mind making fun of people for being Bronies. i mean, seriously, what have they done wrong? and if you're going to talk about the 1% of people that do mlp r34 or whatever, then that's like me saying "some humans have killed other humans, therefore everyone is a murderer" which is obviously ridiculous. I like mlp mainly because of the artwork and animations and all of the creativity i love seeing that would not be present without its existence. It's also easier for me to draw. Does that make me a bad person? no. Am i some 40 year old pedo? no, i'm a 13 yr old male actually. A kid who cares for others possibly more than i care for myself, not some monster that needs to 'erased' from the world. And i'm especially disappointed that people have brought things like autism and sexuality into this. That all males who like mlp are autistic fags. Bullshit. I'll use myself as an example. I'm straight and i'm definitely not autistic. Look at people and judge them individually, and without bias because otherwise this ridiculous shit happens and makes people hide themselves away.
I don't hate MLP, Bronies, Pegasisters. but I'm not a big fan of MLP so I just tend to leave it aside really. I clicked on this video out of curiosity and I guess a lot can be said for any franchise. I think the base point is, there's no reason hating on something you don't like. It's like crying to a brick wall, it ain' listening.
All men are scared of watching the show. They aren't men anymore. they never where men in the first place. Being strong and handsome is not the real meaning of being a man. Saying that you are weak and agreeing that you are, you will become stronger.
It just makes me gag thinking of all the irrational people in the world who just won't come to reason about certain topics like this. But we'll never get rid of them so we just have to live with it.
The problem that I have with Bronies is that 90% of them are unoriginal. For the past few years the only pony stuff that I've seen is ponies based off other things. (An example of this is go to google and type in a name or an event, anything, and then add the word pony to it and you will find a pony version of said name/event) This really annoys me as there are things completely unrelated to ponies and yet they're there. Fallout is one of my favorite game series and a fanfiction called Fallout Equestria is something that I heard of and was praised by parts of the brony community. So I decided to take a look and give it a read, yes that's right I actually read a massive brony fan fic, and as I read it I said to myself "This seems rather interesting I wonder how it will turnout". But the moment I finished reading it I realized It's just a poorly strung together version of every fallout game but with ponies, it connects together worse than Fallout 3 did to the established cannon. But what I really disliked is that there are just moments from the games that are just ripped out and turned to ponies in the hopes that the people reading did not play the original games. For instance in the First Fallout game there is a part where you walk into a general store and meet the mayor who also runs the general store, an assassin then comes to kill the mayor but you help stop him and you then proceed to work with the mayor to convince a fat oaf of a man into admitting he sent the assassin to kill the mayor. In Fallout Equestira the main characters walk into a general store and meet a mayor who just so happens to also run the general store, an assassin then comes to kill the mayor but they help stop him and then proceed to work with the mayor to convince a fat oaf of a pony into admitting he sent the assassin to kill the mayor. Sounds pretty much the same because it is, the only difference being that in the game I passed the speech check to getting the guy to admit to his crime. But the thing is there is more, so much more. Deus Ex for example is a great game (Except for now with the whole Augment your Pre-order debacle) that takes place in the future, it gets quite violent and involves no horses or ponies what so ever. And yet just Google Adam Jensen pony, all I can say is "why" in a disheartened tone. So what I'm trying to say is that the 10% of the fandom that actually makes its own original stuff or at least tries and is taking a departure from the source material I'm perfectly okay with them. But it's that 90% that just takes anything and everything and adds ponies no matter how inappropriate that situation would be with the addition of a character from a show for little girls. Tl;dr A lot of brony stuff is unoriginal, pointless, and is made for the sake of ponies; And I don't like it.
I agree with you on this whole-heatedly. There is quite a lot of unoriginal fanwork, but, there is a good amount of it as well. You just have to pick the good from the bad.
I hate when bronies do this. Now I respect them but I CANT stand when some of them do this, they take another fandom and convert it into their own thing when they dont even know what the other fandom is about! Example; TF2, Doctor Who, Fallout, Portal, Steven Universe, etc. And then they turn it into their own little thing and mess around with the characters.
Chica The Duck This seems to be the one issue that comes up with the fandom. Crossovers. I am not particularly fond of them, but, sadly, not everything can be "perfect"
I can agree all the "Ponification" is really annoying, but if you think 90% of our fan art is ponification, you're wrong. 90% of our art is random OCs.
As a brony, the only people I hate are cloppers. Unlike Harry Potter, those are freaking cartoon PONIES. What the fuck is wrong with people. As for haters, people should learn not to listen to haters who hate for no clear reason.
First part I totally disagree with what clopper means, and second they're kids! They can't get away and they can't deal with getting beaten up and bullied every fucking day. One day of being the BULLY and I was on my knees saying sorry. Of course that just might mean I'm bipolar but still! And cloppers can be ones who clop to the actual ponies which is sickening but that's only like 10% of cloppers while the rest are clopping to human versions that just share the personalities that we all are fans of. Mostly because those personalities are the actual fetish because we always meet men and women like that in our lives and find them attractive. ALL humans are like one of the Mane 6's personalities, am I right?
Daniel Bob ... I don't believe that it's exactly the same thing. Although I would love to ban it it's not actual animals. Just animated cartoons. Plus it kind of goes against freedom of speech and your rights as a U.S citizen. Internet is basically free domain. Especially when hackers get involved.
+Gamer One Oh okay that's understandable, not a lot of people agree with it and even though I am a Brony myself I don't really argue when people say it is weird. Everyone has there opinion and I will respect yours along with everyone else's unless it is so negative that it could be harmful, that is were I draw the line on my acceptance but your opinion isn't like that so of course I will respect your opinion.
Every brony I've met has tried to shove it down my throat, even showing me pictures of "ponified" things that I like. (eg: PewDiePie, Avicii, GTAV, all that stuff. Seriously, Google it.) They've also said things like "YOU NEED TO WATCH MLP INSTEAD OF BEING A FURRY." Unless LA is deep in super rabid bronies, or I'm just meeting the wrong people.
It depends! They could just be overly excited fans and are unaware they're annoying you. ( Although the telling you to stop being a furry thing could be considered rude.)
Aero Lombax I'm sorry for your bad experience. You were definitely talking to the wrong people, because plenty of other MLP fans who I've met are totally sane. I just want you to know that while I do like all of the things you listed, and I also like the crossovers of those things (because I have a MLP GTA V shirt xD), obviously it's totally fine for you to like whatever you want. Keep being a furry if that's what makes you happy and if you enjoy whatever content comes out of your fandom. :)
Aero Lombax Lol I'd love to go to a convention if I had the chance, but obviously I'd avoid the alcohol as I'm just a young teen and I think alcohol tastes disgusting.
I find this largely biased. Having been on and off again in the fandom I can tell you it is not all peaches and cream. There are pushy folks, socially inept folks, man children (and even crazy childish grown women) and a slew of people ready to cover it all up just to avoid the media stigma. But on the other hand what the media says is grossly exaggerated. The amount of people I have met who can do nothing but pony even outside meets or do some pretty cringe worthy stuff is way more than this video acknowledges. However these people were socially awkward before they fell in with the herd. I have met some decent people too. I just think you could do with being a little more impartial with your presentation.
+Cheeki Breeki again, they aren't the majority ( beside, we aren't " gay retards " ). You look at the wrong side of the spectrum. The majority of people in the fandom are good people.
+Julian Bottero It's upbeat while still being realistic in the tone of (most) episodes, it's fun while still being logical, the lore is actually rather rich, taking inspiration from Greek mythology, references out the ass, deep character development and noticeable character arcs that even reference previous "iterations" of characters (a character in a later season makes reference to what they did in an earlier season, highlighting the developmental arc), most songs are really well done and catchy, (whilst it started out as a more simplistic "slice of life" show...) the stories behind each episode can be rather adult in nature and just hard to understand for kids. That's about it for me. Oh, and John De Lancie, the mastermind behind Discord, and Q from Star Trek. Same reasons why I enjoy Disney, Pixar and Dreamworks movies. Faust knew that the key to success in this would be to capture not only the intended audience (little girls), but also anyone else who was roped in to watching (parents, older siblings), so the show was developed in such a way that it was intended for everyone to view, including guys, just like the more kid-oriented movies that adults cherish and enjoy watching. References to R-rated movies, references to history, references to pop culture (Bob Ross, for instance), dealing with more neutral themes, etc.
+jakemichie97 :P You didn't mention the reference MLP:FIM did to MLP. Episode titled "Too many Pinkies" had a clone change her face into the generation 1 Pinkie Pie xD Very nice explanation Also, just to add to that. We don't obsess over MLP:FIM like Faux News claims. We watch the show like any other show. I'm waiting for the hiatus on Steven Universe to end. It's been on hiatus for almost 3 months!!!! I'm also waiting for season 2 of Into the Badlands( you should check that one out). The media and internet will have you believe our lives revolve around MLP:FIM... that's retarded... I would suggest watching an episode or 2 and see what all the hub bub is about. In all honesty, this fandom isn't even as big as people would think, there are waaaay bigger fandoms for shows that are discontinued. Yes, there are people who want to shove the fandom down the throats of others, but that's with any fandom. -_- the worst fandom... Madden gamers... They always ask if I own Madden... Then they always ask me if I want to play Madden... and I'm like "If I wanna play football, I'll go outside... See this skin? This skin color is called sun deprivation..." xD jkin.
It's not that they wear suits and watch MLP. But the problem that i have is... The porn they make... You go to the borny con or whatever they are. Most of the art that is being sold there is "sexual" and just looks weird. Yes. You can watch porn about your own favorite stuff. But the problem here that i have is that the mlp is meant for little kids. And at the same time 20-40 year olds make porn out of it. Like wtf. I once was doing some research on bronyes and i got like 10 pics that were really sexual... (sorry for my bad english. And im sorry if this came out aggressively. It's really late here and ova i have had this problem for like 4-5 days that i cant spell. Like... AT ALL.)
+gruuno "But the problem here that i have is that the mlp is meant for little kids. And at the same time 20-40 year olds make porn out of it. Like wtf. I once was doing some research on bronyes and i got like 10 pics that were really sexual..." Oh look, that applies to Teen Titans, Steven Universe, Adventure Time, and LOADS of other cartoon shows meant for little kids. Now why do you specifically target Bronies, then?
Flyer ton99 Bruh. This is why its so hard to say your opinion on the internet... Sigh~ "Now why do you specifically target Bronies, then?" Never said i only target bronies. It could be that im talking about bronies cause of the topic of this video dunno... Please use your head. If you do. You're going to make other peoples lives a lot more easier. kok namm PokeEmblem 692 And yes. i know there is porn pretty much of everything. Go look at "rule 34" and you will be amazed. AGAIN im talking about bronies BECAUSE of the TOPIC on this VIDEO. Like what the hell. Should i start talking about EVERY little cartoon that is out there?
I started seeing the fan art pop up on deviantart a few years ago, and to be honest, it was weird to me at first. then I thought I'd figure out why so many guys my age were into it by watching a few episodes on Netflix. that quickly turned into watching the first two seasons in less then a week. now, i definitely consider myself a brony.
So, the video is called, "The Brony Problem," but you don't find any problem, to begin with? You should've named it, "Bronies Are Not What Haters Believe They Are," or whatever.
I appreciate this video. The fact that you discredit the four most commonplace arguments that bronies get from everyone else means that I have something to link people to when I find the arguments. Which will be a lot. The best part about the whole video, though, is the fact that you sat on the fence the whole time. And that helps me agree to everything you've said in this video.
+Skactai that isn't much of an opinion as it is, just a flat out lie. You could've said any other insult, but it had to be the cancer one. Good job on obviously watching the video by the way.
Very good summary. I really commend you for analyzing this so fairly. I am autistic and I am a brony. I haven't attend any conventions and it does scare me a little but I do want to.
this is one of the best and most unbiased views I've come across so far. very well presented, the problem is the most extreme people of any ideal will often be blind to any obvious truths like presented here.
So basically, people tell other people to kill them selves because of liking ponies? That’s horrible! But thank you for making this, it’s very helpful.
I hate that even though I'm a girl, people judge me for liking Mlp because I'm thirteen.
+lana tarrant I agree with you
I'm fourteen, and I'm a Brony.
A very insightful and articulate argument. Not to mention great visuals to help get the point across. Well done!
Nicholas Weinman some just hate because hate makes them feel good.
The show itself teaches not to hate... It's all about friendship!
By the way, I have ASD😊
I'm not a brony. I never watched MLP thus I can't say that I like or dislike the show, but what I absolutely DESPISE is when people bully MLP fans. Why would you ever bully anyone just because they like something???
I've been told by everyone that they're old obese basement-dwelling guys and/or little annoying fangirls, but guess what... _IT'S NOT EVEN TRUE! (well, maybe a part of that isn't)_
I've got a friend that likes MLP. She's a young girl who likes a variety of anime and cartoons. But I didn't even know she likes MLP because she was keeping it a secret from everyone the reason being scared of what people might think of her!
Us hating on MLP fans keeps them from enjoying the show and drastically lowers their self-esteem!
Nah, bullying's fine.
@@acyberbully6641 No bullying is not okay.
As a metrosexual, I watch MLP, it sucks that people will judge me as I am, no one knows.
@@catertime3558 stfu libtard
@@acyberbully6641 You're a troll.
I've never understood why people tell people to kill themselves over such mundane things. Have we no regard for human life anymore? It's sad.
sadly that's the internet for you. One of the biggest places for hate.
its a bit weird, you know, liking a show who was made for little girls.
clearly you didn't pay attention to the video, 2:13
Me either
Rural Gamer so true
I don't care about the existence of bronies.
I just came here for the comment section.
See anti bronys you can just ignore bronys like this person
dennis rabanes So are you saying I am a brony...Or I'm not a brony? (Both of which would be incorrect by the way).
El Skeletor :3
You know who really needs to be analysed? Anti-bronies. They're the real headcases. They say stuff I'd expect to come from a racist or a homophobe. They're complete hypocrities when it comes to what they criticize bronies for and most of them act like complete psychos!
King DJ To be fair that can be said about anyone who goes to such extremes when it comes to hating any certain thing or certain group of people.
King DJ try dr wolf
The thing is, you can be an anti brony without being in the antibrony group. There is a difference between being disgusted at bronies and being so disgusted that you join a group dedicated to hating them. The antibrony group is an extremist group that does extremist actions. For larger scale example, it's like the difference between being mad at the U.S. and joining Al Qaeda. You can be mad at the U.S. and not be responsible, but if you are angry enough to join an extremist group, you're part of that extremist group and unless you directly protest to the rest of the group that their actions are going to far, you are also responsible.
Floods LOL you know someone's a dumbass when they use autism as an insult. :D
I wouldn't even mind anti-bronies if they actually had some good arguments, the best real argument they have is that the fandom is everywhere and annoying which isn't very strong either.
Dylan Ellis then go look at the strong arguments
ice ruler king The strong arguments are non-existent.
ice ruler king Name one.
Draukagrissah i know one but im watching thamas the tank engine right now :D
Dylan Ellis That does not mean that weak or BS arguments are never damaging, long time exposure to anything can be torture.
Some bronies are obnoxious
Some haters are nonsensical
Some bronies are amazing friends
Some haters have decent opinions and minds
I hate bronies
I wouldn't necessarily call them "haters" for say. also @Icatcyningproduction s did you just wake up from a 6 year coma?
Thanks... I think.

Awesome video. Can't understand why there is people who decide to spend their time insulting or harassing other ones for liking a TV series
Bronies aren't even hurting anyone alot of people were abused because of jealousy and hate and i dont get why you people even hate us?your kind disgusts bullying 9 year olds for liking a show. and there are even worse people who does drugs kill other people and rape 5-12 year olds and you waste your time going over a pointless argument about bronies who you will never change his/hers opinion about the show.
cant understand you. the guy you replied to said "Can't understand why there is people who decide to spend their time insulting or harassing other ones for liking a TV series" and you said "because its fun" i thought were a anti brony.soz
yep.i see you like teen titans and minecraft

they seriously pushed bronies so far to the point of suiciding and laughed?! thats just messed up! i mean seriously if a person likes a show you don't like you don't have to bash them over the head because of it
MaxTheEnderlord100 because i am a brony too
MaxTheEnderlord100 even if i'am a brony myself i have to say that all anti bronies who laughed at the kid who throw himself under a train are actually right,
if the kid was weak and wasn't able to handle insults on the internet his parents shouldn't let him go on the internet, so it was a mistake of his parents, not anti brony
Indie Time no it isn't. It's both, the parents for what you stated and the anti-bronies for going that far anyway. Who in the right mind laughs at someone trying to kill themselves. Only psychopaths would find that funny.
***** And you said "Eh, I don't care about people caring about me. They never did, why should they start to care now?"

Okay guys this is a must see. And if your parents think Bronies are all bad show them this...
I liked this documentary
It's good
I am an anti brony, but this is probably the only anti brony that has accurate reasons. I myself can't come up with anything more then they're watching a show that could make them befriend Hitler if they were drunk enough, which isn't really good.I should stop being anti brony, but anti mlp, because mlp is the thing I really don't like.
D Brown he is a brony
Okay then...
Nimaru Art Sounds good. I'll keep an eye out for that one. =)
This was an awesome video, and I agree with it too. I'm not a hardcore fan of the show, but I'm really tired of people judging or ridiculing bronies. They really aren't that bad, and never were to begin with. All they're doing is liking a show, that's all.
Except for cloppers, all they are is creepy.
***** We all try to ignore them though.
Bud Charles I never said cloppers were hurting anyone, I just don't like how far they take the fandom.
(I kid you not I have seen those two statements used almost EVERY time a hater fights back.)
I like the movies, Wreak it Ralph and Kung Fu Panda which are aimed at kids but I also like Alien 1 and 2.
Arrow Valley I totally agree i may be a brony but that doesn't make me less of a man and I know better than to force something on someone if they don't like it.
this comment needs more attention
(Something about Minecraft)"
darth sarcom I can relate to that :)
***** Hamburger?? Oh derpy, what about the MUFFIINNNZZZZ ;D
HoplooWare
I think horror movies hurt the people watching them, and everyone that they interact with. From what I can see, it deadens them emotionally.
HoplooWare
Still, it's main focus is horrible, and the one thing people mainly like about it is horrible.
HoplooWare
I don't think you can know how bad a person is or their emotional well being by what television they watch, but you can have a good idea of what emotional well being they likely have.
Thank you, I'm glad to finally have a quick, good quality, and researched video that explains everything, so again thank you.
cameron beaty Happy to help. Feel free to use this video as a resource when discussing bronies to save time or add some weight when someone won't listen because they know you (if that makes sense).
If someone cyber bullies you because of your fandom, don't be depressed just tag them to EVERY post of that fandom until they join you
+zaid wadi so, basically, prove them right when they say you are obnoxious... I can't see how that could backfire.
my purpose isn't to make them stop, it's to make their lives HELL
William Tucker "civilization"
so true
lol
bronies arent bad
Mark Moreiras Man, that is the dumbest thing I've heard all day.
That's like how they used to say that people playing video games screams "school shooter".
Mark Moreiras
Please tell me you're joking, if not then why are you on this video?
We don't want the kind of people like you here...
There just a fandom showing what they like.
Yea and no. Lefty bronies are good. But the toxic side of the fanbase does exist and can’t be denied.
I once hated MLP, but a good friend of mine said: "I know you don't judge by the looks, so why don't you try to watch a couple MLP videos?" And I was like "Kay" and now I'm a Pegasister! Thought I don't know if I'm old enough to be called like this...
If you are an avid fan of the show, then you are.
I think I must finish season 4 thought XD
Yeah you should at least finish up to S4
+Luhe Wohly The fight scene in the season 4 finale is wholly worth it.
I'm in season 5 now :D and that was AWESOME! Ponies can kill you people!
I hate how people trying to make others feel bad about liking something
There should be a law for extreme online bullying like this. They should be able to figure out who you are and arrest you or something like that.
THAT is the problem of internet anonymity.
The problem is that's nearly impossible. It's extremely hard to determine a person's identity even if you use their IP address
+Saber Sam Hey!
I like how you compared our fandom to other fandoms it really got the point across for me.
I'm sorry, but...
Just replace the world Brony with FNAF fan and half the video still holds up.
I'm sorry. But, it's true.
VGMaster2 it really is true though

@@eliescobis9922 yeah same for undertale, its like you can't like UT or fanf without getting attacked by low-lives
I'm a brony
It's a backwards, sexist and outdated attitude" -Lauren Faust
I don't feel like I have to write anymore as I bet people who don't like the show and don't really know anything about it will still dismiss it as a girls show yet will find it awesome that a girl is in the lobby playing Counter-Strike or Cod, it doesn't really make much sense.
Thank you for making this video. I could never be happier. ^^
I must say, you have made a wonderful review about the whole situation, thank you for being unbiased and giving a good defense. Now, yes, we might have some slight issues, but not everyone's perfect. I am glad to see you give this review.
Eeyup
You did a beautiful job on this video. You attention to detail and hitting your respective points clearly was awesome. Some people hate just to simply hate and feel better for themselves.
But damn if a lot don't take it too far. The part about them laughing at that kid was awful. And they say we're the monsters.
more people need to see this!!! I love the points you make and I agree with them. there is only one correction I have to make. female fans are pegasisters. not bronys. of course its not a popular term but think about it like this. the female section of the fandom started feeling left out so they made a new term for themselves. it didn't really work. lol
something I forgot to add the fat neckbeards part. ofcorse there are people like that. but do I look like I care? no, no I don't. moral of the story, don't make stereotypes
as a female, I'm fine with being called a brony. tbh I use the word brony way more than pegasister
It depends on the fan. Some are fine with calling themselves "pegasisters" (which is actually a pretty cool term, imho) while others simply call themselves "Bronies" or-at most "Girl Bronies." A rose is a rose is a rose, after all...
the term 'pegasister' has become much more prevalent in the past few years actually, just an update
Not a brony, most likely never will be, but this video was fantastic. Very well done. I already understood and respected bronies but this really helped me understand to an Evernote further extent. Needs to go viral.
Erik Swanson if you want you can watch it kisscartoon.me/Cartoon/My-Little-Pony-Friendship-Is-Magic-Season-01 :P
People are free to like whatever they want and long as they aren't hurting anybody.
This guy is right. I used to judge guys for liking the show. But once I saw it for my self I loved it. I think liking my little pony just adds another difference we all have. "We all have stuff in common, the same earth, the same sky and the same air, if we all look at what's the same than what's different... well who knows."
You can never escape from our fandoms lol
My motto is if they aren't harming anyone leave them alone, simple. I don't like Brony culture but they aren't harming me so I don't really care what they do.
+Raiden Kaiser If more people were like you, we'd be content.
I love people like you who has a good heart. ❤️
Wow this video has aged surprisingly well and still kinda stands up today
I also seem to be slightly guilty of this. Their stupidity is our enjoyment, it seems.
+Rainb0w Dashie I really think that they make the comments like that on purpose to bait people into arguing with them.
Everyone likes arguing.
0/10 try again
5:43 so true
I was in art talking about Apple jack as best pony and this kid who is always so quiet was like, " rainbow dash Is best pony" and everyone at the table turned to him.
I watch kid shows all the time for nostalgia and because I plainly like the show.
fr wtf
+Ashley Unknown Thanks for agreeing. :)
Amari Harris of course why wouldn't I
One thing I'll like to say is people needs to hate the fandom (y.y )not the show.
+Ashley Unknown Yep. Totally. Even though some shows get in my nerves, I still appreciate the hard work and effort put into it.
Man, I just want to thank you. Finally, someone is putting out a well-informed video that anti-bronies can't respond hatefully to and make a valid point. You're the real MVP. Stay brony my friend. :)

Stories of feelings and friendship?
I'mma let you finish!
Undertale.
I'm a Brony and I keep that to myself at school and in public, and I wouldn't wear a Rainbow Dash costume, that's not why I'm a Brony....I like the fanfic and the backstory behind, not to mention the worlds gorgeous Navy Blue Princess
So, basically... extreme bronies don't represent bronies, but extreme anti-bronies represent all bronies? Alrighty then.
I don't get it.
Just think about what the word "anti-brony" means
Sweetpeachez 69 wait when did he say that?
Wow your right but I don't get what is weird about names for fandoms i'm in a fandom where were called the Psychos literally.
Psychos Pass fans? Psycho fans? Shining fans? What are you fans of?!
Sail Boat My fandom is called the bloods yo, jk
***** Long live the Young Bloods!
YOU LIKE PSYCH?!?! OMG IM A PHYCHO TOOOOOO
Eider Meinz Are you friends with some guys from a fandom called Crips? xD
Same bro
i agree with all of your points but 4:38
there are thousands of videos on youtube of furries in their fursuits going to public places like parks, stores, etc.
This is just so true... I wish people would just accept us.
Good Job! Tell it like it is bro!
Hmm, i guess you got some pretty valid points- it's totally fair for an adult til like kid shows, personally i'm in love with Adventure time
Anti-Brony here.
I have encountered some who are rather intense to people who either say they've:
A: Watched the show, didn't like it
B: Doesn't understand why people like it
C: Fellow bronies who poke fun at the fandom.
Actually, there is another fandom that gets just as pushy: Homestuck. >.>
+RayLedgend Nice counter argument!
"No more sailor moon, it's girly. So boys can't watch it"
"You can't watch that anime, there are girls in it. You're a boy, so you can't look at girls."
"You can't look at bras or purses, they're for girls. If you look at them you're going to jail"
"Males can't have daughters, because daughters are females and females are girls."
"{Insert more stupid quotes that make that "point" look as stupid as it is.}"
I agree this what this world accept as manliness is ridiculous. Everyone can enjoy a quality cartoon and adults can too because adults are just grown-up kids.
Y'all make really good points. I think most people have the issue with the in-your-face, disgusting, or weird behavior.
But its true, sports fans are literally the same thing.
if you like the show. sure.
but dont obsess.
Does that same logic also apply to, say, Star Wars fans? Wrestling fans? Football fans? Just curious...
bejarny there is a difference between liking a show enough to be inspired to make something great and being so obsessed that you can’t live without it you obviously don’t know what obsession is
Wow, this video was very well edited and narrated. Nice job man!
I agree
Pls help.
Basically, my profile pic is my brain when I don't have the courage to say it

10th Doctor Who? me? why?
Those are good points. I guess I should be more open and understanding to differences. It's sad that those boys attempted suicide or succeeded. I guess my perspective kinda was coming from not knowing the content, and wanting to be manly myself and therefore reject the appearance of weakness, fragililty and femininity which is what the show seems to represent. I still wouldn't watch it because I think that other things demonstrate masculinity better than it might be referenced to in the show, but i'm more understanding now.
God, humans are evil creatures.
+the gamerator 10 That is just so true
Well believe it the world isn't for the faint of heart AKA pussies
Define evil
"Humans are real monsters"
you know i am unicorn
Anime fans are not creepy. P.s. we're called otakus
Horror would be my specialty you're*
Speak English.
Otakus all the way
Otaku isn't just anime, they can be a fan of video games, comic books, but it's just associated with anime
Anime Angel alrighty then buddy why i am not a okaku i enjoy a anime or 2
Anime Angel "P.s. we're called otakus" omg
So is it wrong that im 12 and like it? Im going to middle school and my brother calls me a geek who needs to get a life :/ it makes me sad
it's all good :3 /)
:3 /)
Oops (|
Thanks well if done all three im thinking of taking all my mlp stuff and decorating his room in it XD
Ya I might post a video of it lol
Mlp *
MOP IS BEST SHOW EVA (I don't even like my little pony but I do not hate it)
Lol Im a tomboy but not lesbian
+FundiThePone I agree but we cant kill society now can we
+FundiThePone It's okay to love mop, I love lamp.
Why the fuck do you care if people think you're autistic or homosexual? Anything wrong with either of those things?
I don't hate MLP, Bronies, Pegasisters. but I'm not a big fan of MLP so I just tend to leave it aside really. I clicked on this video out of curiosity and I guess a lot can be said for any franchise. I think the base point is, there's no reason hating on something you don't like. It's like crying to a brick wall, it ain' listening.
All men are scared of watching the show. They aren't men anymore. they never where men in the first place.
Being strong and handsome is not the real meaning of being a man. Saying that you are weak and agreeing that you are, you will become stronger.
why did I share this
*****
:)
(An example of this is go to google and type in a name or an event, anything, and then add the word pony to it and you will find a pony version of said name/event)
This really annoys me as there are things completely unrelated to ponies and yet they're there.
Scootaloo I never said 90% is ponification, I said 90% is unoriginal, that includes recolors ;P
Doradorks....starting now!
The way you set up your points and your vocabulary are just fantastic. Kept me engaged enough to wonder where those ten
minutes went.
As a brony, the only people I hate are cloppers. Unlike Harry Potter, those are freaking cartoon PONIES. What the fuck is wrong with people.
As for haters, people should learn not to listen to haters who hate for no clear reason.
Iritsu Chan To be honest i'm not against cloppers, what the do in their house is fine, its like BDSM
I agree. Also, two other things: The word you're looking for is 'beastiality' and animal porn is actually supposed to be illegal.
Daniel Bob BTW, read my other comment I made. The first one. It explains to everyone why cloppers aren't as bad as you think.
I actually thought this video was another video explaining why the brony fandom is wrong...
I know right? Thank Neptune it isn't though.
Masquerade I actually wanted to see if this video was insulting the brony community....
+Gamer One Oh.....May I ask why?
Masquerade I don't really "agree" with the brony fandom, it's just weird
***** The worst mistake I made was going to New Orleans while a brony con was happening. REMEMBER: RABID BRONIES AND ALCOHOL DON'T MIX!
Aero Lombax Lol I'd love to go to a convention if I had the chance, but obviously I'd avoid the alcohol as I'm just a young teen and I think alcohol tastes disgusting.
Aero Lombax I'm from Washington so I've never really experienced that. O-O
The MLP fans over here are mostly " nerds" and " anti social" people.
Adults watch spongebob, so why can't they watch mlp?
I find this largely biased. Having been on and off again in the fandom I can tell you it is not all peaches and cream. There are pushy folks, socially inept folks, man children (and even crazy childish grown women) and a slew of people ready to cover it all up just to avoid the media stigma. But on the other hand what the media says is grossly exaggerated. The amount of people I have met who can do nothing but pony even outside meets or do some pretty cringe worthy stuff is way more than this video acknowledges.
However these people were socially awkward before they fell in with the herd. I have met some decent people too. I just think you could do with being a little more impartial with your presentation.
they exist of course, but they aren't the majority.
+Cheeki Breeki again, they aren't the majority ( beside, we aren't " gay retards " ). You look at the wrong side of the spectrum. The majority of people in the fandom are good people.
haters gonna hate, but i really don't care im a brony but it iss'nt what defines me
humans will be humans so let them be
10 years...and still love it
Yeah just because a show is directed at a specific genders or ages doesn't mean we can't watch it
Mr.Cobalt that’s like saying that the tmnt can’t be watched by a girl or they are lesbian which doesn’t make any sense at all
I dont like the show, still even if i find it weird that an adult is watching it, i respect it...
But, just a question, why you guys like that show?
I think it's fun, the animation is nice and there are some incredible songs.
+Alex Cen oh god, sickly sweet
+Julian Bottero for me i love the show because i love the stories and the characters imo.
+jakemichie97 :P You didn't mention the reference MLP:FIM did to MLP. Episode titled "Too many Pinkies" had a clone change her face into the generation 1 Pinkie Pie xD Very nice explanation
Also, just to add to that.
Like... AT ALL.)
people are going to do that kind of stuff to kids characters and the best thing to do is just ignore it
PokeEmblem 692
It's the same thing still... It's still wrong.
+gruuno How about fnaf porn? That is...
well..dont think about it.So yeah everything have a porn version of it not just mlp.
+gruuno "But the problem here that i have is that the mlp is meant for little kids. And at the same time 20-40 year olds make porn out of it. Like wtf. I once was doing some research on bronyes and i got like 10 pics that were really sexual..."
Oh look, that applies to Teen Titans, Steven Universe, Adventure Time, and LOADS of other cartoon shows meant for little kids.
Now why do you specifically target Bronies, then?
Flyer ton99
Bruh. This is why its so hard to say your opinion on the internet...
Sigh~
"Now why do you specifically target Bronies, then?" Never said i only target bronies.
If you still mindlessly hate on the show and bronies it shows how this world is full of idiots and proves our point
Can you make "The furry problem"
So, the video is called, "The Brony Problem," but you don't find any problem, to begin with? You should've named it, "Bronies Are Not What Haters Believe They Are," or whatever.
***** I see. I respect the bronies. Brohoof, man. /)
Hell o
+Anti Brony :P Ey b0ss
K
"Dickish reply" ( replies after 10 weeks )
*facepalm*
+Nathan Flasher You're calling DarkAnswer's reply dickish when you won't even bother TO reply.
Mlp is cancer
k.
Good job deducing that. Now you go work on a cure for cancer, while I hype up the season 6 premiere of mlp in 17 days with my friends
+Skactai that isn't much of an opinion as it is, just a flat out lie. You could've said any other insult, but it had to be the cancer one. Good job on obviously watching the video by the way.
The fandom but some of it
MLP is cancer no shit the Fandom is cancer full of dressed man with horns and so many porny stuff they are searching
4:28 great montage of other fandoms! ( especially the Navy bit)
So basically, people tell other people to kill them selves because of liking ponies? That’s horrible! But thank you for making this, it’s very helpful.
