    I do like the the bags....they are good quality. I got the some pouches with the plastics/rubber clips.
    I did buy a couple of SOG bags 33liters called the Profit. I don’t think they make them anymore.
    I don’t think any backpacks are water prof, I always put a garbage bag and have rain cover and spay your bags with a replant.
    Being in the army for a little bit I am not a survivalist I can last as long as I have food and water.
    One thing I can pass on to your folks is having multiple socks and change them everyday.
    Also don’t over pack the bags....

    Beware of those buckles, change them out. They brake easily. A Truckie would kill that bag......LOL.

    One of my bags is an old Russian military surplus bag. Has a lot of features, holds a ton of gear. Think I paid 20 bucks for it. Keep your eyes out for old military surplus. Some of it is better than you might think.

    That's a great looking bag! I have one that's about that size I keep for my GMH bag.

    Wouldn't a pack cover help with the waterproof issue. I keep a hammock setup in mine tent and sleeping bag is too big for that pack.

    That's an area I need to work on. Packs. Only i am not sure where i would bug out to. I already live 50 minutes from the,nearest town with a Wal-Mart. Nothing but farm out her and woods. No phone no lights no motor cars. Not a single,luxury. Like Robinson crusoe as,primitive as can be.

    Give it a few years of hard use, the plastic buckles will break. They can't be replaced without cutting the straps.

      @@johnallebach795 I have a Maxpedition cross sling bag of some sort. It's my metal detecting bag and see's heavy use. The one buckle on it is broke.

      @@johnallebach795 I have a Maxpedition duffle bag. It doesn't see nearly the usage my other bags have and has held up well. So yeah, I know something about Maxpedition. Enough to know I won't buy their stuff anymore. It doesn't hold up to my usage. YMMV

    • @johnallebach795
      @johnallebach795 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      So you’re saying a bag that last seven years is not worth buying, also yes there are replacement buckles that have a slit in the plastic part in it that fits into the sewn loops you say cannot be replaced, Sure they’re not Maxpedition buckles, but you have Nike backpacks out here lasting six months to nine months tops
