We Spent 3 Weeks Snowboarding in Japan!

- I've been wanting to snowboard in Japan for so long! So stoked on how the trip tuned out with such a fun crew while boarding, filming, and touristing. We spent day 1 at Moiwa Resort with the rest of our days the first week at Rusutsu.

Thanks for mentioning shopping local. The culture we all love so much was grown through shops and now we risk losing it. I rode with Travis, on burton, for years during the 90's. Its awesome that we both ended up going back to the world of board shops. Thanks again and give a shout if you ever come through Alaska.

I only had my splitboard (Mega Split) and Megadeath and had a great time pretty much only riding the Megadeath
Just leaving now, we scored furano, extremely deep. Amazing size country
Hell Yeah, we got really good sidecountry snow at Furano too
@@SearchofSnowboarding we did rest of time at niseko, rusutsu and had a day each at Kokusai and kiroro. Fuck it was cold!
Oh wow, we must have left right before the temps dropped, wasn't too bad for us

Looks like so much fun man, super jealous! Hoping I can get a few days in on an upcoming trip I have out to Japan in March. What kind of a bag would you recommend for taking your board long distance on a flight/traveling around like that?
Awesome, you gotta! Just a board bag with wheels from any brand works great, I've always used Burton's. If you keep it under the certain weight (either 50lbs or 70lbs depending on your airline) its just the price of another piece of luggage. One big tip that helped us, you can pay to store your bag at the airport until you fly to where you're going to shred

Trying to plan a trip with about 10 guys and would love any advice for the planning process??
Sounds like that will be a blast. With such a big group I would first look at finding your lodging, whether that's a whole air bnb house or whatever, then plan where you'll be shredding around that

Can you rent good gear there? I would like to take the trip with just my boots.
It depends on where you are. If you're at a major resort like Niseko, there are a ton of shops and rental options
