Growing up in the 80s this movie was like the ultimate forbidden fruit, the kind of thing that we snuck out to the living room to watch on HBO at 3AM in the morning while our parents slept. It got trashed by the critics of course but we didn't care in the least. Even as an adult almost 4 decades later it's still a guilty pleasure to laugh at.

The "Tallywhacker" scene is one of the funniest in cinema history. I was too young to see this on the theater, but reportedly there were people falling into the aisles laughing and I can believe it.
That scene in particular is ONE LONG TAKE. Remarkable they pulled that off with five actors onscreen.

"Pee Wee! I'm gonna get you! You little prick! And I mean that LITERALLY!"
Fun Fact: This was the highest-grossing movie from Canada for 24 years. It is now third highest, having been beaten by Bon Cop Bad Cop (2006) and Resident Evil: Afterlife (2010).
Automobile Enthusiast Fact: Brian Schwartz (Scott Colomby) had a 1953 Jaguar XK 120. This model was produced from 1949 to 1954 and had a six cylinder engine with a top speed of 122 mph.
Based On True Stories Fact: Writer/director Bob Clark gathered material for the movie over a 15 year period. The story is composite of incidents collected from the males of his generation along with some of his own personal memories from growing up in high school.

Think about the fact that these movies porkys and animal house and ridgemont high, and summer school etc were all playing while we were just hitting and going thru puberty.....SHESH LOL along with listening to I'm hot for teacher by van Halen playing on MTV around the same time 😅

Almost every 80s classic you have done I saw at the drive in with my oakie grandmother. Then spent years watching on vhs as I grew up. Not insane but when I remember I was 4 to 10 yrs old…. Interesting

That's a hell of a memory! I don't remember much, mostly just if I did or didn't do something but no details. Like I can tell you if I watched a movie but couldn't tell you a damn thing about it. 🥲

Watched this movie when, it is was new in the theater and, I was very suprised just how much got to stay in the final cut. You have to remember this was back before, they would as they do now release a "R" rated movie for the theater, and later a "none rated" more racy version on DVD (smile...smile).

Watching this film was a right of passage when I was a teenager in the U.K. in about 1990. We were all about 13. Someone stole a copy of the VHS from a parent or older brother - I don’t remember who. And every time someone’s parents were out we all bundled round to their house and the video was played. Eventually pretty much every boy in our year at school had seen it. It was probably the rudest film we’d ever seen and was a major cultural turning point in our journey towards adulthood. Tallywhacker! Hilarious!

At least you knew what a Gloryhole was. I'm surprised you made it through adolescents and hadn't seen this. I don't think I'm a lot of years older (well, maybe a decade) and I had seen it with a Mom who would only let me watch PG13 movies. Of course, I had to go to my Girl Scout Leader's house to watch this sort of stuff! Hopefully Kim's name means Mannequin is on the list.

Haha Yeah, my raunchy teen movies were Something About Mary, Mallrats, American Pie and stuff. I'm sure I caught glimpses of some of these younger but nothing that I remember. Mannequin I believe is on my list.

Wow what a classic movie I remember watching this when Cable 1st came out when they had it on Showtime and other movie stations. I thought back then it was a comedy just like Police Academy with just about the same or a little more to make it a R rating but back then I didn't know what a rating system is or was back then. Will you do the other 2 movie reactions to PORKY'S to complete the trilogy of the movies? until next time have a great year as well as blessings have a nice day thank you for showing and doing a reaction.

The gym teacher who laughed so hard was also in Black Christmas, the cop who didn’t know what fellatio was. And the Sheriff who busted out the headlights, Alex Karras, was Mongo in Blazing Saddles. He was a defensive lineman for the Lions. Saw this in the theater never laughed so hard.

I have seen this film like 8 times on satellite television when it would be featured on a "film channel" like hbo or starz. I will say the principals office scene is one of the best of "porkys" film as it is hilarious along with the lassie scene. If you need a good laugh, those scenes are suggested.

I was a child of the 80s. And watching this WAY before I should've lol. But much like yourself? It was less about the girls and more about a group of friends banding together. It's a classic for sure. The other 2? I don't vouch for. I myself have never seen em. So if you do videos I'll be interested to see your take on it. Good job bro!

I loved this movie back in the day! Porky's 2 and Porky's Revenge are also a lot of fun if you want to react to them too. And you're right about Kim Cattrall. She was in everything. Police Academy, Big Trouble in Little China, Honeymoon Academy, Mannequin. Would love to see you react to any of those.

A great movie. Watched it with my parents before when it first came out and my dad laughed so hard, he was funnier to watch than the movie itself. The Lassie scene and the office scene are the funniest part of the movie, in my opinion.
