You will surely be attacked by crazy fans who consider it an insult to think that the mv reminds you of "blackpink". In my case, with both BATTER UP and Sheesh I immediately noticed the influence of Blackpink not only in the editing and esthetic of the videos but in the production of the song. These could be Blackpink songs and no one would notice. Obviously the fault of sounds and look like Blackpink lies in YG and not the girls. I don't think that's a bad thing, but it would be nice if in their next songs they try to get away from that influence and look for something unique that differentiates them because they are super talented (surely the most talented of the 5th generation) and will be much more successful than Blackpink.
totally agree, you could literally swap BP and wouldn't tell a difference with batterup and sheesh. It's frustrating because these ladies are so incredibly talented and YG just continues to reuse the same exact formula. It's one thing to have a "YG" influenced sound, but it's something else to literally reuse same beats, same video sytes, same choreo. It's a waste of their talent.

They are obviously not Blackpink, but only a blind fanboy is going to deny that the resemblance is very evident. I'm not a hater, I repeat, I think they are super talented and probably the best group of the 5th generation.
I don’t get the blackpink thing. Yes YG. The door at the end is pretty Lalisa. But overall what hasn’t been done before? Pick any new m/v from anywhere. You could find someone who’s done similar. Southpark even made a whole episode about the Simpsons has already done it. Like I said YG has a formula yes. But it sounds good.
