- Here is the ride soundtrack for Superstar Limo, undoubtably one of the worst Disney rides created, released on the album Music From Disney's California Adventure only available in 2001. George Wilkins is credited with the music score. (I do not own the photos used, photos credited to YesterLand.)
All music belongs to their rightful owners I own nothing.
Damn I want this 2001 DCA album now. Thank you for sharing this rare piece of media!
Or they should upload the entire album to the internet archive
It’s sad that for such a bizarre ride, the music... it isn’t bad
Haha!! It’s catchy soundtrack is probably the only redemption for how awful the ride was
RichardsTrainsAndMore I feel the actual artwork itself wasn’t too bad either. Just the storyline and the animatronics made this fail
Funny thing is I knew some of the people who created the background artwork. Disney used students from Cal State Long Beach but never paid them for their work. Supposedly Disney claimed they should be honored just to work for the Disney corporation without pay
RichardsTrainsAndMore oh wow
My favorite music track is the Malibu section

Won’t you take me to, FunkyTown!
In all honesty, this ride wasn't bad, but nothing about it screamed Disney magic or excitement, it would have fared much better at Universal Studios.
I wish i can go back in time to DCA 1.0
I was there on opening weekend and I wish I hadn’t! Even then you could tell the park would be a flop. There were too many random restaurants and not enough stuff for kids to do
RichardsTrainsAndMore I liked the concept, i liked that it was different, I miss Paradise Pier, Orange Stinger and Maliboomer, & to be honest Superstar Limo i liked for one reason, yes it was cheesy but because it was cheesy I thought it was really
Funny to see every time. I think the only
Problem with the park was that a park about California in California is not a good idea.
I think the original California adventure concept would’ve done great in Walt Disney World where it’s located in Florida. But a California theme park in the state of California? That’s when the theming failed cause you had copies of famous landmarks when the original’s only a several miles away. Don’t get me wrong I still mis the original DCA. I have dozens of happy memories going there as a kid and the park would be empty
RichardsTrainsAndMore that’s where my memories are, going there as a kid and the park being empty, but like I and you said the biggest problem was that a park about California in California is a bad idea, and I truly believe that this park would’ve been more successful in Florida.
If they invent time travel I want to travel back in time to see this attraction for myself but the time machine would appear inside the park the time machine would be invisible
We enjoyed your video. Thaks for sharing! Stop by if you get the chance.
Your very welcome!!
Should've stuck on with the chase.
What chase?
@@richardstrainsandmore The original concept revolved on The paparazzi chasing you.
Ah yes the original idea. They scrapped it after Princess Diana was killed in an auto accident involving paparazzi chasing her. It would have been bad PR if they stuck to that concept
I have a feeling, that this concept with this version of the ride could make a new version of the great movie ride at Hollywood Studios, featuring a new area.
If princess Diana wasn’t killed then maybe we would’ve gotten the version that originally planned and it would’ve been a big hit
maybe it was too ahead of its time for certain people
I think the ride was simply too wacky and corny at the time. I was there on DCA’s opening day and even then guests already hated it
@@richardstrainsandmore IT WAS GROUNDBREAKING YOU PEOPLE JUST DONT APPRECIATE TALENT
@@orcasplayhouse Dude, the ride blew. It was mundane, corporate, and cheesy. There were better Disney animatronics back in 2001, the ride as a whole was something they hastily put together with no thought process after Diana's death.
didnt they get rid of this ride eventually?
They sure did, it barely lasted a year because it was terrible. They reworked the ride as Mike and Sully to the rescue but with a better storyline
But it still lives on
To save money they reskinned the ride and they turned the A list celebrities into CDA agents, and in the scene where you encounter the CDA you can still see the figures for the Jackie Chan and Drew Carrey animatronics but they where changed into CDA agents
@@skunkman9815 You forgot the Tim Allan Animatronic he was also reused and changed to the CDA agent
