You are seriously the only person packing in one shot I was watching these other ppl doing it wrong and literally saying ' oh it's ok, I'll make 3or4 passes' I'm like FML !
I hope you know how useful your videos are!! I’m a self taught artist would love to apprentice in a shop but can’t due to being a single mom of a toddler and the only support my daughter has, going to be practicing color soon. I’ve watched your videos since I was interested in tattooing it’s been a full year now of practicing just want you to know I enjoy and find your videos extremely helpful!
Hey :) thank you so much for your videos, they’ve really helped me! Could you maybe also do a video with a small design/ fineline color tattoo, where you can’t use a magnum needle? I’m okay doing bigger motives but I really struggle to make the colors saturated when doing smaller ones …
I’ve made my own guns in prison have done some really nice work with my home made gun and now I have the dragon hawk pen with adjustable stroke and I’m lost I’ve struggled with finding the right voltage for line or shading I’ve watched alot of your videos I know the gun I have isn’t nothing like the pros but I wasn’t gonna drop thousands of dollars on a gun right away I have a better understanding about these guns but it’s nothing like my home made gun specially using these mags but I appreciate your videos and have so many questions I will continue to watch your content thank you for explaining things in detail
Im using wormhole for now as practice it was cheap on amazon, i wanted to see how i can control one before i go spending big bucks on a good one! Its not bad! Soon i will upgrade to ur recommendations! I love watching and learning from this channel! Its been a big help!!
Packing solid black especially seems to be one of the things I’ve struggled with most in terms of overworking the skin, I’m uncertain of if I go too deep/apply too much pressure, move too slow, or run my machine too fast (or a combination of all the above). It seems tricky to get a solid consistent saturation without risking overworking 😩
My biggest issue is having irritated skin. I have been coloring on myself and noticed it hurts more than it should. Lines are fine and colors are holding and packed, but it seems like I get really red and more pain than I think there should be.
Dude I was going through the same thing. What helped me was Natural Type Lotions with bare minimum to no chemicals within it.. apply once to twice a week before tattooing yourself , it will help smooth the skin.
I love this video and many of the other ones I have been catching up on! I did see your video of you going over cartridges. So I just needed a little guidance (or if anyone else can point me in the right direction) When it comes to cartridges, I have been using the Mast and Mast Pro ones on practice skin with the Mas Tour machine. Would you recommend Kwadron to start off on skin?? Any help is much appreciated 👏 😊
I laughed so hard when you pronounced the color of the ink! You could hear in your voice as if you were asking a question. Then you put the dictionary thing up! 😂
Can you do a video on how to utilize your fake skins when you are first starting out. They can get expensive so whats the best way to make full use of them.
It seems that there is maybe a little more of a tube ride with color packing. Is this not accurate? Do you hang the needle the same when doing color as when lining?
You want to hand them out less and you'd not go as deep or push as hard when color packing . TH-camr Jono Smith (rest in peace) has very detailed videos on hiw deep to go etc.
Dude I don’t get how you get everything on fake skin so good. Mine is always rough looking. If I wipe it it just looks patchy and not packed in, if I dab it leaves too much ink and I can’t see how much is really in the skin, I just don’t get it.
Try slowing down your hand movement, match the voltage to your hand speed. For the dabbing part, use plenty of Vaseline "petroleum jelly" before going in with the ink, makes it easier to wipe away the excess ink.
Im at a point where I'm wondering if my struggles are not me, but the machine u am using. I got a 50$ wormhole kit, and then i ordered a 50$ poseidon kit. I have ordered good inks, good xartridges, reel skin, and i still cant seem to color oack efficiently.
To match your line work to black color packing, make sure you’re using the same ink and needle depth for both. Slow, consistent passes for color packing will help even out the tone.
I don’t know why but sometimes colors don’t actually color 😢 lining is a little bit easier for me, but when packing I can’t really see it (unless I keep stressing the skin for sooo long)
My only question is that I’ve heard so many times to NOT go over the skin more than once. I see you go over the black with your colour and then again when blending. Can you elaborate please and then how to know when you are over working the skin? I realize the at fake skin is more forgiving with this issue. Thanks for the help!
I think it’s because you are only half packing it at the lighter area of your shading, so since you didn’t fully work the skin in the gradation it’s ok to go back over with color. It seems really to be a matter of what speed and voltage and how much the needles went in in the skin initially. So if you fully color packed the black then you could still hit it one more time on the lighter areas that you didn’t fully color pack, like where your pepper or whip shading is done. I probably don’t word this very well, but maybe someone else can ring in on this too..
Petroleum jelly is the best I've found, I currently use triple antibiotic ointment both works just Abt the same... The antibiotic ointment helps with human-skin and makes sure there is no infection throughout the process.
Okay I have a question.🙋♂️ When I’m tattooing on my fake skin how do you keep the skin clean ? I be having to scrub the Inc off the skin what I’m trying to say how do you keep it clean with getting the Inc everywhere i don’t even know if this makes since 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️😭
hey man i just wanted to say i appreciate you for all the videos youve posted , youre a good teacher you say things very clearly , and you helped me get the courage to get into tattooing and now im a apprentice at 9 Finger Tattoo co in Carlisle Ohio . you should send me a message man id like to talk with you. Again youre much appreciated in the world. 😁
Also “dulc de leeeche” killed me 😂
That had me lol
You are seriously the only person packing in one shot I was watching these other ppl doing it wrong and literally saying ' oh it's ok, I'll make 3or4 passes' I'm like FML !
Awesome video, very informative, thanks for sharing all this knowledge, and make it look easy for us, God bless 🙏👊
Probably best packing video on TY, most people are going too fast damaging the skin more and apply less ink with one pass, good job.

I'm so grateful I came across your channel, I'm a newby but learning so much just by your watching your tutorials. Thankyou so much!
Thanks for the advice! Esp the part on the needle positioning. 4:06
I recently started using the solid inks.... love them
I use a critical torque 4.2mm but I do love my bishop wand shader so I may need to try the packer as well !

I love this tutorial Brandon. Your style of teaching makes great sense. Thank you so much.💚☠

Very helpful! I have issues getting onto the line. I’m not used to moving my mags in all directions yet. More packing videos please!

This is my problem too. I don’t know how many times I should go over it, and if I’m overworking the skin.
Beautifull Artists Tattoo Perfect blending color 😮
Awesome video!!!

maybe a lower voltage

Thanks for this bro! I jus leveled up!
I love this video❤
What machine do you use sir?
What stroke?
What volume?
Thank you 🙏
Can you add water when blending thickerninks?
I laughed so hard when you pronounced the color of the ink! You could hear in your voice as if you were asking a question. Then you put the dictionary thing up! 😂
What happens when I’m doing the ovals for packing and the needles getting caught in the skin?
with the magnums, are we going in ride on tube or flying needle?
Are you ever worried about loosing some of the black from your lining during shading?
Can you do a video on how to utilize your fake skins when you are first starting out. They can get expensive so whats the best way to make full use of them.
do you use the skin tone ink with black transitions too? or just for color and water for black?
It seems that there is maybe a little more of a tube ride with color packing. Is this not accurate? Do you hang the needle the same when doing color as when lining?

Is there anywhere that we could download the stencil to practice?
Hi! What do you mean by hollandaise, why is it called that?
It's "holidays" - gaps in your tattoo's color where they should be filled out.

If you are using fake skins from Amazon that could be the issue. I went cheap and got those at first and the results are terrible
I use them try not to deodorant use stencil stuff and leave it on there for an hour

Cuanto sacas la aguja ?

So what if you're doing realism and you want to keep those strong blacks for contrast? Packing over black seems to kill the contrast.
Do you cover your battery and back of the machine when tattooing real skin?
Yes I do I don’t in these videos so everyone can see clearly everything
Getting the line work to match the black color packing is my problem. How do I fix that
To match your line work to black color packing, make sure you’re using the same ink and needle depth for both. Slow, consistent passes for color packing will help even out the tone.
@Tattooing101 Thank you, I will definitely be asking more questions as they come along haha

lining is a little bit easier for me, but when packing I can’t really see it (unless I keep stressing the skin for sooo long)
what speed youre whip shade?
Between 8 and 8.5 volts depending on the needle size.
Thanks a lot for all the infos you are sharing!! 🫶

What do you use to clean the Skin ?

My problem is getting the color to stay in. When I did my fake skin, it just looks blochy
Okay I have a question.🙋♂️
