    Ken, I keep rewatching this excellent video series. What do you do to your nonskid? Polish / wax or polish /ceramic or leave alone. Thanks

    • @dsktsunami
      @dsktsunami  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ceramic as well. If you don’t want to do that use replenish from Starke on it. Easy spray on protection

  • @darrenrowan2352

    after washing with pure clean can you then apply replenish to wet boat?

    Hi Ken, i’ve watched both your videos I think you did a awesome job I have the exact same boat, wanted to ask you I live in South Carolina and come to Florida a lot my boat will stay in the water for a week or so , after fishing I pull my boat out it always has water spots really bad usually have to strip the whole boat with vinegar, if I follow all the steps will it help protect my boat from water spotting ??

    • @dsktsunami
      @dsktsunami  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It will definitely help with the water spotting. Especially if you re apply a quick coat of Starke Replenish after every use.

    Nice work sir. Did you only do the hull and not the keel? I detail cars and apply ceramic and graphene coatings all the time. However, my friend wants his boat done. So doing some homework on the areas to be coated since prep is basically the same. Thanks again.

    • @dsktsunami
      @dsktsunami  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you do the keel, it will wear the coating off after one or two trips on the water. Not worth the time or to waste the product.

    Ken, what micro fiber towels did you use and where did you get them? Same for your applicators.

    • @dsktsunami
      @dsktsunami  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just about any microfibers will work that you find in the auto parts store. The applicator is listed on www.marinedetailsupply.com website when you buy the ceramic. Use code Nauti15off

    Great video Ken. What was the temperature and humidity on the day you applied the ceramic coating? What did you look for to determine when to level the ceramic? How often or how many times did you change the ceramic coating applicator? Can you send me the link to the registration numbers you got from Amazon? Thanks.

      @@dsktsunami thanks. Can you answer my previous questions? Thanks.

    • @dsktsunami
      @dsktsunami  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t recall the temperature that day but I live in Florida. It’s time to level once you begin to see the coating have a rainbow effect. It really depends on the coating. This one was Thor by Starke which is the most user friendly coating I’ve ever used because of the flash time. 5 or more minutes when other coating are 45 seconds or so. Only need to use one applicator per coat.

      @@dsktsunami great thanks. I live in tampa...that's why I was curious. I'm getting a newly ordered boat soon, do I need a buffer machine and a polishing machine to prep for ceramic coating? Thanks.

    • @dsktsunami
      @dsktsunami  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@laurazavatkay2782 if you want that perfect starting finish I would highly recommend any boat owner to have a rotary and a polisher. I’ve since upgraded my tools. I now have a dewalt rotary buffer and the new orbital polisher by Milwaukee M18. Definitely saved me even more time.
