12 Must Have GoPro Accessories in 2023

- Every year in January I like to make a video going over some of my favorite GoPro accessories and gear I recommend to new users. I think for the most part all items listed are essential for every GoPro kit. My 2023 list of GoPro accessories are things you will actually use and will help you capture unique perspectives with your GoPro. Of course, depending on how you will use your GoPro, what accessories will be beneficial will be different for everyone. Most of these accessories are compatible with any GoPro, however, some will only work with the GoPro Hero 11 Black, Hero 10 Black, and Hero 9 Black. My list of the best GoPro accessories in 2023.

Good stuff! I have a lot of these items. A neck mount has been in my Amazon wishlist for a while. I'd never really considered a magnet mount, but as soon as I saw that, I thought of some places I could use it. Thanks for posting!

Another benefit of the aluminum case is that it serves as a heat sink. It reduces the chance of overheating when pushing your GoPro recording times by drawing heat away from the body, but I wouldn't recommend hand-holding it during those occasions.
During the winter would it also make the GoPro more cold?

Thank you. The Volta has been my best GoPro accessory ever. I used to get ‘low battery anxiety’ before, but now I’m confident to just use it without too much stress.

A nice kit can be expensive for some people all at once.
Is there a handle mount that is compatible with the magnetic neck mount holder? I'd like to easily switch back and forth between 1) having the camera on my chest, then 2) vlogging.

Would've been nice if the Floating Housing extruded past the lens for protection against falls. Or if they made the Plastic Housing to float. Now I'm torn between the two when it comes to Boating & GoPro capturing. 🤔
I am buyinga second hand go pro hero 7 black and with all accessories in $160 should I buy that or not it's few months old. Your suggestion matters to me
With 8:7 aspect ratio, you still need vertical mounting?
Can enduro batteries be used on hero 8? Whats diff between the hero batteries and the enduros?

The TELESIN Vertical Aluminum Cage looks great! However I have a gopro 8, are there just like it that fit the 8?
Yes, indeed there were similar ones for it. You might just have to go on Amazon and do a search. Just make sure it is for the hero8. As it has its own unique form factor.
Does that first grip with the foam handle eliminate “handle noise” from the GoPro audio? The noise you get when recoding and moving your gopro around.
Indeed, it does help. Just keep a good firm grip on it without sliding your hand around.

Great video and very insightful. Just wondered if I could pick your brain? I’m going to Florida in the summer (theme parks and a cruise) just wondered what you might recommend? I’m looking to buy my first GoPro and it’s a whole new world. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I would definitely stick with the hero 11. And then you just have to figure out how you’re going to want to use it and what you want to capture. I would say the floating hand grip is a must because you can use it just for every day handheld shots or if you’re gonna be in the water.

Great tips bro, been a gopro fan since day one but we can't hear you while ypur talking to well., too low...You need to pick up the volume louder. Can't hear much. 😢
They have alittle battery housing on etsy you can buy someone sent David manning afew for his gopros.

I used to be nervous about taking my GoPro in the water. But over the years, I have never had a single problem with leakage.
Do you know about a vertical go pro case with a power cord door?
Yes, tell us and sells one that has a mount on the side as well and you can plug power and I believe there is a opening

Indeed, it can be done. There’s actually videos on TH-cam. You can search for because they’re special firm where you can install called GoPro labs that can make it more suitable for a dash cam by enabling specific features such as keeping it plugged into USB as soon as you start the car, it’ll power the camera on and automatically start recording without you having to do anything

Yes, indeed it is

I've been considering picking up either the GoPro or the Action 3. I'm concerned about the GoPro crashing from people's reports. Have you come across this issue?
Mine has been very stable. I haven’t had any issues. However, with the 11 mini. The main issue I have with it is sometimes it’s hard to connect to the app, but the full-size GoPro has been flawless for me so far.
@@AirPhotography Ah ok. Thanks! I'm torn between picking up a GoPro or the DJI Osmo Action 3. I like the dual touchscreen and mounting on the DJI, but als the 5.3k and better image quality on the GoPro. Also thinking about a gimbal as well to minimize cropping. Any thoughts?
@@AirPhotography Thanks for the response. Mine just arrived today and I'm seeing an issue with the micro SD card. After recording footage and putting the SD card into the adapter it came with (Sandisk Extreme), my computer does not recognize that the SD Card is inserted. I've tried 2 other adapters and with an identical SD card I use on my drone, and that recognized it just fine. The only way for me to get the footage is to plug in a USB cable to the GoPro and transfer it from the camera. Is this normal? GoPro chat rep says my SD card is faulty, but it's brand new. Thanks for any insight!
@twistedjiji sounds like the card or the adapter is messed up the adapter might be in the locked position also which is a little tab thing on the left side.

Yes, indeed those are also a nice accessory to have
what about SNAP Mounts PRO
Definitely they are handy as well. I do on them and use them from time to time. It all just depends on what you plan on doing and if you plan on moving your GoPro from mount to mount frequently.
Probably the best accessory would be a GoPro camera that actually recorded audio.
Loads of content creators still complaining that GoPro camera doesn’t record audio with the media mod 👎

No nd filters?
I typically don’t use ND filters on my go pros for every day filming. Usually only when mounted on an FPV drone or I’m trying to be a little creative with a Time-lapse. ND filters can affect the stabilization.
@@AirPhotography oh I see that. I never tried nd filters on go pro yet. But I am always using ND filters on my pro Cameras
