    i don't know who manages this channel but i wanted to say to someone from the team that i love Smack Studio as a tool and as a game, is literally Smash Bros but with infinite capability to make guest characters. i hope more people could know Smack Studio so there will be more sprites on the Workshop, i will be trying to make a lot of character too because i love it.

    Nice vid. It would be awesome to have a video starting from scratch and everything blank, not with a template, but completely from 0, so I can see the process and do it with my own sprites

    Out of curiosity, would it be possible to have circle/pill-shape hitboxes rather than square/rectangular ones?

    Is this only for fighting games or can you animate for other type of games?

  • @Rowland4825
    @Rowland4825 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Is this strictly for smack studio in the sense that you can't use this editor to make your animations for your own game ?

    can you export the sprites to other programs?

    This project is amazing, It's blown my mind. My question is, now or in the future, will it be possible to use this character creation system to export to a external program? I mean, like blender, unity, etc.
    It would be fantastic and it has a huge potential.
    I have tried for years creating my own sprites but the results were not what I expected. This tool could be really useful.
    Congratulations for your job and good luck for the future.

      Since a 3D mesh isn't truly made, exporting the 3D model is not in our current plans for 1.0. However you can export .png sprite sheets.

    Does the perspective need to be fixed for this to work?

    Does this work with less detailed 32x32 sprites?

    • @SmackStudioGame
      @SmackStudioGame  ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Yes, though smaller sprites are definitely still a challenge for the 3D algorithm, so you may lose some detail- we 've seen some users use it to block out their animations, and then export at touch up the keyframes in Aseprite. Overall, quality for small sprites is definitely a priority for us- so we'll be fine-tuning the algorithm in future updates!

    I honestly have to say, as someone with a background in 3d, its such a pain to navigate the 3d place. I wish it would either be like blender maya or zbrush, or at least have the option to navigate that way in the settings
