What I love about this style of street shooting, is the interesting well composed shots of people. I think modern street shooting has shifted too far in the fine art direction and seeing photos like this is truly refreshing. You are both brilliant photographers.
I not only love his photography, but his post-production is sublime. That one image of the woman and the car with the sun filtering through the tree behind her. Not an easy thing to pull off.
I immediately got the humble and grounded aspect of his worldview from listening to the podcast. He also had some great thoughts about gear, awards programs, approaching people, and lots of other stuff that is super helpful to get other perspectives on. His images are absolutely terrific.
Paul. This guy's work is AMAZING. I learn so much from you. Wow! Thanks for all you do for everyone, Paul. You're such a value to the community at large.
Hey Paul, I'm following your channel quite some time. What I like in your videos is the calm style you're talking about topics you're interested in. And I like the passion and the heart behind everything you're publishing here... If I wouldn't be a fan yet, I certainly would be after watching this video. Talking about others in such an inspiring and engaging way is really great. Thank's for sharing your thoughts and for featuring this great photographer...whom I didn't know so far !
Thank you Paul for introducing Nathaniel’s extraordinary images to us. I agree with your assessment that many of his images look as though they were taken as a still image from a movie set! Like you, these images truly inspire me to achieve a higher level in my own photography! His use of lighting & subject matter draw your attention to his work. Best wishes for your channel.😊
So he takes one year to learn his camera. I bet he has spent some time to get the shadows and the highlights where he wants them. He is a master of his art.
Amazing photography! If I could just get 1 or 2 with the quality of these, I’d be happy! Thanks for showing him to us! Looks like he’s documenting a lot in LA and/or NM?
I couldn't use a monochrome camera because I enjoy so much the extra flexibility when editing with the black and white tool and it's colour sliders. I get the benefits a monochrome sensor offers but when you see amazing black and white images converted from colour cameras, it really show you you don't have to have a monochrome camera, assuming you can afford one of course!
Wow, his work is simply stunning and a great inspiration. Particularly love the street photos, great look into a world you wouldn't normally see. Such a cool guy as well, not what I was expecting at all. Love to be able to get the light and deep blacks in my photos like he does. Great content Paul really enjoyed this insight.
Paul, thanks for the introduction to this outstanding photographer, never before was aware of his work. Excellent images, but his post-processing -- wow!!. Still trying to work my way through the podcast.
This was absolutely wonderful Paul, I've been following your channel for some time plus love your style and monochrome, this guest was so amazing - really inspirational level of photography, and so humble. Please continue to do more of this sharing of photographers. Thanks 👍
Fascinating. And yes, it’s hard to find the good stuff. Thanks for sharing this photographers work-so authentic, real, and beautifully captured documentary style work.
Photography skills don't equate to a following. Sad to say, but one needs to be able to market themselves and play the social media game if they want their work out there (or engage someone to help with it, if that's a goal). Great photographer. Glad to be following him now.
Great photographer! I would love to see more images taken with a Leica. People on social media often talk about Leica cameras but only show a few photos taken with them or pictures of other Leica cameras. I love my Leica cameras, and I use them as cameras rather than as expensive accessories. But a friend said that I'm not a typical Leica photographer because I don't carry it around all the time and just use it as a camera 😂
Amazing work from Nathaniel and amazing photographic opportunities - nothing like that here in my city but much to think about. Is it me or is the podcast missing from the link? :)
Having seen this, I'm definitely aiming to get out more with my old QP, I'm sure I can do decent B/W stuff with (much) more practice! Great vid, thanks Paul👍
WOW, WOW, WOW!!! This is the same kind of photography what I do , mostly colors but I don't show on the SM because I will never ever reach the level of Paolinelli's photography. My recommendation is a bw portrait photographer, Lee Jeffries. Thanks
The guy does great work but the places, people & events he chooses to photograph, takes him more than 50% of the way to the end result. I imagine there is technique to post processing B & W photographs & if I did work like this, would probably be drooling as the photos exited my printer! Great vid.
Paul, thanks so much for having me on your podcast. It was great chatting with you.
@@nathanrjc thank you for the inspiration and taking the time!!! Top man!!!!

Glad you enjoyed it

Oooo yeah Lee Jeffries would be awesome
Good work❤
loooooove me some good black and white photos.
Which camera did you use for those images Paul?
The photographs were taken using a Leica Q2
Nice man 👍📸
Thanks so much

Nathaniel is so great! Thanks for doing that episode on him! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
So glad you like him
i really like Bert hardy but might be difficult to contact him
What is specific about a Leica photographer.....didn't see a picture that couldnt have been taken with just about any other brand name 😅
Nothing. But he uses a Leica.
Great photos, but it looks digital to me.
It is digital! But I know what you mean by this. Sharper and clearer images will always look more digital because film was never as sharp
