Dude me too, i used to dream about the days when would have graphics as good as the cutscenes. Some games do have graphics that good, like the Final Fantasy 7 or Resident Evil remakes, or God of War or Ghost of Tsushima, but graphics that good still aren't widespread or the standard. I think that by the next generation of consoles, we will finally be there 🥲
@@John-X it‘s mostly about how much budget a studio has to realise their vision. But yeah with the next generation of engines like ue5, we could see a higher standard, because those engines require a lot less work in some areas. We‘ll see, its sure an exitinc time to be alive. I wonder how fantastic games will look in 20 years

Get on Steam and hit up DOA5LR Core Fighters. It's superior to 6 but 6 is is good and also has a free to play Core Fighters. 3 & 4 are fab but I think 5LR is the best version.

They could have just used a cut-version of Nine Lives and using this CG sequence for the american release. Too bad they didn't do that. Also, as much as I like Leifang, I never understood why she was so prominent in this sequence lol
Thing is, when you do a story mode like that its bound to happen, it was the case with MK too. Don't forget too that the story always resolved around DOATEC, Helena and the Ninjas... Tina, Zack Bass, Leon, Gen Fu, Elliot and many others where always soporific characters... They where fun to play but a comical relief in the story. Zack wanted to bang Tina, Bass wanted her to go back to wrestling, Tina want a new dream, Leon want to prove he is the strongest(deep story...lol) and so on...
i love doa my fav character is helena the only bad thing about doa 3 is that everyone has a maximum of 4 costumes and i love helena costumes but the game is the best ever
@wintermelonlurvess I thought Ryu was in the end? This game was more "Ayane's" Story whereas the first was Kasumi defeating Raidou and the Fourth was Helena and Project Elipson. It's weird neither of them is there since they are also part of the story.

the cutscenes are sweet and numerous, i would had like an intro too, and maybe a big outro but i liked the story mode, the gameplay is as good as ever, and for the "horrible english voice overs" you can always switch to japanese...
I personally enjoyed them... even if they where done mostly with the graphic motor of the game itself. There was so much of them and all... and even tough a couple felt forced, they where usefull for the story. In DOA4 for exemple, the Helena ending was awesome, but lots of cinematics of ending where dumb and ... dumb(Kasumi for exemple) and the stories where arcade mode with 2 little cutscenes... i rather have a real story mode and an arcade mode.
As if you can take down a AH 1W super cobra with a bow and arrow....... sorry Hayabusa but you need an RPG or a cannon in the 20-40mm caliber to even come close to challenging it.
