Mercedes S550 W221 Front SAM Module Cloning or Programming With Autel IM608

-2008 Mercedes Benz w211 from SAM module cloning from original to another used one.
-Main concern was air conditioner would not blow cold.
-Front SAM module was not sending out signal to A/C compressor to activate the A/C clutch through can line.
-Programmed a used SAM module to vehicle using Autel IM608 and A/C problem and couple other unmentioned problems were resolved.

I noticed you didn’t erase the data first you just went straight to write any particular reason for that? I’m supposed it’s not best to erase then write
Edit: actually I see you answered this in a similar question below which is what I assumed. It’s going to overwrite the originals when it’s writes anyways.

I am trying to clone a front SAM on a 2005 Merc CLK500 coupe using an Autel 608 Pro. I have followed your instructions, but when I select 'other' in the final menu that you show, the W209>Front-SAM-COMPUTER>RW does not appear, only selected Mercedes models and functions. Can you show how to access the W209>Front-SAM-COMPUTER>RW to achieve what you are demonstrating for the W221?

No, not at this type of programming. Gbox emulates obd2 port as a breakout box. This is directly UART or JTAG programming which reading and writing the MCU directly.

Great toturial, my question why You didn't read first damaged SAM from vehicle, and transfer data to 'new one'. Also the donor must be virginized before action? Or I misunderstood something, Thank You

I actually read the original one first because the shop that I was doing the job for installed the new one to car already thinking it can be done by obd. If you want to do obd programming with Xentry than yes you can virginize it by pressing clear Sam and put it in the car and do obd programming. If you want to just clone them you do not need to virginize it im608 will just overwrite the files.

Would you have to do this if the Sam was new from the dealer?

If you do this with new one it would also solve the problem or else you would need Xentry (Factory tool) to program and code it. Some after market scan tools can do SCN coding through OBD but not really reliable. Some of this ECU’s also plug and play as long as ECU is new.

I have a 2019 silverado and I want to install an oem fog light kit
but after the installation the bcm need to get flashed in the dealership so they can enable the fog light option and also to enable it in the instrument cluster unfortunately the dealership in my country is too stupid to do it and when I ask them if they have this service they say No and it will get out of warranty if i tried to install anything that related with the electronics
So please answer me if you can help because i saw your video on the gm bcm reprogramming and I wanted to ask you if you can help me plus I will pay for your help if tell how to do it
