The lesson this video teaches is something i used in my Elden ring journey too, play the way you think is FUN not the way that's OPTIMAL or EASIEST.
On top of that, what he said at the end applies to ELDEN RING too. Things that are challenging feel more rewarding to beat.

This game not only has a story that rivals anything in fiction but it also allows you play any and every job you find appealing, all on one character.

Pint's character's race is called a Lalafell. Lalafell characters usually fall into one of two classifications. the first is an adorable lovable child. The second is an absolute murder machine. You absolutely cannot tell which one you are dealing with until it is too late.. The mean ones will kick you in the shins and run away. So always head pat them with caution prepared to run for dear life.

OMG, I started FF XIV as a Black Mage and had no idea it was supposed to be the hardest class. I still love it. It totally suits my playstyle but this video really hits home; you cannot heal yourself or anyone else, you can't res anyone, you can't move until your casting finishes and cast times take a while (especially at lower levels). I remember when I got the ability to Triple Cast... life became so much easier (unless it's on cool down). But when you run dungeons/raids/trials at lower levels, you are quickly brought back to reality. And heaven help when you are the only one left alive in your party... you can hear the dead sigh "NO! Why is the Black Mage the last one left alive?" and then you wipe 😢 Still love the power though!

I would LOVE to see yous react to FFXIV's story so much. And I don't mean a summary, I mean the full story. It starts off slow but then it's and endless rollercoaster of emotions that you don't want to get off.

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames Oh it definitely would. It's slow in the beginning as it needs to build up, but there's a reason it's so highly regarded by players. If anything it's too good and given me big expectations for others 😅
@@xkelbix93FF14 has ruined other online multiplayer games or me. Nothing compares, hell, most single player, narrative focused games can’t compare.
@@spiraljumper74 I absolutely agree. It's my number 1 game. Sometimes I do burn out after playing for a long while, but I'm excited every time there's new content. I grant it's not perfect, but for me it's damn well near. Really looking forward to the remaining patch story and Dawntrail :)

As a Summoner Main, I find the class to be a lot more fun than Red Mage and Black Mage. Mainly because as you level it up, you slowly watch your cast timer get used less and less, and your damage and flashy spells become more and more impressive. The utility’s good too, with an AoE damage boost, a shield we stole from the level 50 Black Mages, multiple phases that flat out change the look and potency of our spells, and a damn Phoenix that can help make the healers’ jobs easier
AFAIK this video is from before Summoner's rework.
Black Mage was my first class in the game so this was a fun watch. Super relatable.

And they are brief. If you consider it then the best order to watch them in would be the order he released them in. Just for the sake of running jokes
You can thank the animators for the video game for the character's expressions and body movements. Pint just uses them from the game itself and edits them in goofy ways.

He talks about how people hate lvling Black Mage, but Black Mage is the class that made me give the game another chance. I came from Star War: The Old Republic, and the combat of Final Fantasy seemed SOO slow by comparison. Black Mage sorta fooled me into enjoying it cuz the cast bar takes as long as regular attack animations do at that level, so, ironically, it felt like I was doing something and not just standing around in combat.
Black Mage attracts the true gamers 😜

I highly recommend "barney 64's" world of Warcraft series her style of comedy is amazing and I especially recommend her "scarab lord" videos they are imo the best WoW content on TH-cam

FFXIV looks fun. The only to other MMORPGs I've been playing for more than... 7 years each, roughly, are Warframe and TERA online. I also play Elder Scrolls Online and Fallout 76, but not as long as the other 2
If you both get to play FFXIV together, I suggest you both play as Lalafells. :)

If you want to learn more about the Final Fantasy series, ProJared has been doing reviews of the main series (currently up to 12), and they really very in-depth, engaging, and even funny. I highly recommend them, although if you think you'd want to go into a specific game (like 7) spoiler-free, it'd probably be best to skip that game's video.

Aldo that leylines has been an ability in WoW for years that they removed literally last week cause it has always been so universally hated and considered not fun lol
