I’m currently reading A Tempest of Tea, and I’m really enjoying it so far. The US shipments are delayed so I haven’t received my books yet, but I’m pretty disappointed that book isn’t signed. It’s one of my most anticipated reads of the year also. I’m glad I kept the signed Waterstones edition preorder.
I prefer thw original cover for A Tempest of Tea and I also don't like the color red on covers 😅 but I love the endpapers ❤ I'm still glad I didn't cancel my waterstones edition though

I finally got my Adult FL box, so I was finally able to come watch this video haha. But I agree, as soon as I turned it over and saw the back I instantly thought Swan Princess! I loved that movie as a kid. I'm so glad they redesigned the cover on that one, it's gorgeous 😍
Just got my package and wow, wow, wow, the adult book is a stunner! I do like the dust jacket design of the YA book, I am just not super fond of the color choice, but overall I am not mad. Including the original design would have been awesome though, because I am with you, I totally did not need the meh original design for the adult book, but the original for the YA was pretty good already. The only downer for me was that my books both came damaged, both shipping and production damage, which is a bummer, but I took pictures and contacted the support and usually they are amazing about these things, so fingers crossed.
Hey my lovely great to see you in another video. I think A Feather so Black despite the slight wonky castles is absolutely beautiful. I do like the naked hardcover, it is stunning and the spine is amazing. Love it and agree 10/10
Love the book sleeve with the extra pocket on the front. It is beautiful. Actually like the soap dish too, very nice and unique to the box. The book I really like…but the hardcover with just foil is getting a bit tired I think.
I don’t always take stock in others reviews and what one person likes someone else might not but if there are more 1/2 stars than 4/5 I bump the book down my TBR lol
That FL adult is gorgeous. I cannot wait to see it. Tempest of tea is too red for me but the book is good so far. Love me a heist and a cast of characters
I'm going to try read all the 3 books of the subscriptions from fairyloot for 3 months and then I'm going to decide which to keep😊 I wish the ya book did have a reversible dustjacket like the adult book😅
The special addition of a tempest of tea is pretty but my normal addition has a special place in my heart cus I was able to meet hafzah and get it signed 😢
The swan lake book is so beautiful. I just had to buy it...indirectly. Now that I actually got it, i'm not as impressed with the female character art as the first time, but the love interest so reminds me of the Darkling and the Erlking that I am satisfied. When I saw the dust jacket on your video, I didn't realize that main character was on it. I thought she was a tree holding up the castle. I didn;'t see her until today. Wonder when the readalong will start.
I just finished A Feather So Black. It was a decent Swan Princess fantasy fae retelling with a great forest magic atmosphere. For me I enjoyed it most for the atmosphere it set up.
I need to figure out what I am going to do as well. I have too many subscription boxes, I need to get rid of either the Fairyloot adult, romantasy or illumicrate

It is a pretty book, although I admit I’d never heard of it beforehand. Waterstones are getting there with their special editions they just lack endpaper artwork. Some books have had them but it would be nice if all SE’s had them. The FL YA book wasn’t overly bad item wise. I absolutely love the book sleeve, stunning ❤ I love the soap dish (and the series) too but I don’t want to use as a soap dish cos I use liquid soap. Hoping I can maybe use as a trinket instead and ignore the ridges 😆 So glad we got another letter opener, obsessed with them. The book is pretty but I do prefer the original cover. I now have the dilemma of do I keep this one and the WS SE I also got 😬
Thanks for sharing! The first one was a good edition. The YA I liked the book, but not my favorite. The items were alright. I used to like getting book sleeves, and that one has pretty art and seems nicely padded. I just ended up with a ton of them, especially since I made a bunch myself so it's not as high value to me as they used to be. The soap dish is nice, but unusual for a YA box. Owlcrate did one that was flimsy and had the printing flaking off, so FairyLoot's is a lot nicer at least! The shoe charms seem very niche, and in a couple ways. First, while I love the series, it's an adult series in a YA box? Plus, they serve coffee, not tea. There is a similar series by Rebecca Thorne that is a tea shop (along with books) that would have fit the theme much better. Secondly, thinking that enough of their subscribers would have the shoes to use these in? As someone who doesn't wear Crocs or shoes with holes in them, they'd be useless. Such an odd addition! The sword was nice, but agree that it doesn't really fit the theme. All in all, it's not a bad box, but the more I think about it, it just seems random. I still think that Illumicrate box was better!

I have only just added my name to the Ilumicrate waitlist (so a while to go), but after 9 months of receiving the Fairyloot combo I am already done with the subscription. I thought I would love it, but so many of the books are just going straight on my "going on Vinted" shelf 😢
This is the special moment when I like the Illumicrate box more than Fairyloot (ya box). There's something wrong with the red cover, but the character art inside is wonderful. :)

Currently I subscribe to Illumicrate and Ya Fairyloot :) I agree, a different color would be better and maybe a not foiling title, because it disappear in the light so strangely and it seems as if the cover had no title, which annoys me. Ugh! But apart from that, both boxes in March were great!

Isn't the reverse side of the dust jacket of the first book a color change too? The original looks red on the right side. On the dust jacket it looks like it's purple (or maybe it's just the lighting?)
Not a fan of The Tempest of Tea redesign, I seriously dislike the color scheme and I also wished they would give us reverse cover for this one, I would totally flip it. The adult book is absolutely STUNNING though! ♥️

I'm not going to lie, the foiled hardcovers are getting boring for me. They're all different, yet their style is terribly repetitive. They are nice but the illumicrate and owlcrate books are looking much more creative in this and they are hand signed.
Also, were you previously interested on the first romantasy book? I was but I have seen some really bad reviews with valid criticism and now I think I might sell the book when I get it 😭

I skipped april and got the waterstone's edition for tempest of tea. I am happier with that choice because it is signed And I'm not a fan of orange. I do really like the adult book's features though, But the synopsis just did not interest me, hence the skip. I feel like I have too many books that are pretty, but I don't have any interest in actually reading.
I was quite disappointed with the YA box, this could be coz it didn’t wow me or coz I’ve been feeling low lately but I’m not really going to get any use from most of the items, I’m using the OUABH item to put pens and pencils in, the soap dish will get broken in my current home so not useful for me right now but it could be used to put tea bags in maybe, the shoe tags I have no idea what I’m going to use them for as I too don’t own any crocks, I liked the replica letter opener but I’ve never seen or read the Hobbit and I have no intention to either. I thought the book had a nice design but I was disappointed that it didn’t have the blurb on the flaps as I had no idea what the book was about until I checked the spoiler card lol but it was pretty.
I can't see many people getting use of the shoe charms to be honest! I can see how this box wouldn't be for you, I hope next month is more your thing 🙏
Hopefully Aprils will be better I’ve seen hints for the books for both the YA and Adult box and they both sound quite good and we’re getting page overlays which I’m hoping are for Belladonna as I loved that book
I think that this is a gorgeous edition(FL Adult), one of my favourite FL designs ever BUT the quality.....The naked hardback came with very faded edges and bottom for me, and since I was anticipating this book so much I started reading it rightaway and the naked cover is fading /losing the paint so badly. Even on teh spine just from opening the book there's a white line running along now :( Additionally I could not use sticky notes as the sticky note (same I use for other books) lifted the ink so bad that I had to stop and was thankful I noticed after 3 sticky notes. I am so disappointed :( honestly because it is such a beautiful edition and I just do not understand. I know a lot of people just collect the books to be displayed, but I do read them as well.
@@Wanderness it is jumping through flaming hoops backwards while reciting Shakespeare in Italian to get a Waterstones SE… I have so many issues and was so relieved when it arrived underaged and not 5 months late…

The adult subscription is worth it for me, not sure I would recommend the YA one, but no doubts about the adult
