Absolutely LOVE the hinge idea! So many journal tutorials have you gluing a bag or envelope to the entire page, wich ends up sacrificing writing space. The hinge idea allows the use of pretty much the full page as well as adding mementos.

Thank you, Donna, for another great video packed full of great tips! I have to say the tip on how to cut windows with a craft knife is my favorite. I always have over cuts so watching your tip will hopefully improve my cuts. LOL I am not good with a craft knife at all but I have recently found the finger craft knife works so much better for me so will practice your cutting tip. Stay safe, warm, and crafty.
The finger knife is a little beauty, I found mine in my mums stash I didnt even know what it was, but boy once it's used a few times it gets better and better! the window cutting technique works great as long as you join the cuts on the same line (stay on the line) I have the fire going 24/7 so i'm warm as toast lol have a great weekend😍🥰🦋 hugs Donna

Always wanted to dye with Avocado, wow your idea is much better, not much mess. Your ledger papers are unreal, your eyelet process is ingenious, not much difference compared to the Tim Holtz post. Love the hinges. Antonio makes is great, love him, love your channel. x

One reason I never use a craft knife and cut windows is because of the problem you stated, going past the corner! A great suggestion! Thank you! And yes, faux avocado paper is the way to go! No one but us will know!😊
I get the avoidance of the craft knife Cindy, once you get the techniques they are way more acuate than scissors, im rubbish at using them, unless im fussy cutting. and you made me giggle about the avo paper cheat lol, i won't tell lol 😍🥰🦋hugs Donna

I also use hole reinforcers for ring-bound journals, and pages and pockets I make to go in a ring binder. Some craft companies make a hole reinforcer punch that does it all in one shot. I highly recommend that if you're doing a lot of them.

@@JunkJournalideas yes I saw them. Amazingly big bag. I had a load frozen and then didn’t really get much of a dye from them. Think I will use the color paper and coffee idea from now on.

hey Claire thanks for your lovely compliments, the tips section is always popular and I love doing them! most of the eyelets I had were in my mums stash, but i did buy some from we r memory keepers 3/8" to use with my cropadile they are pretty good, some have longer posts than others, i like the ones with the shorter post you don't need them too high 😍🥰🦋 hugs Donna

Just found your channel. WOW love all the simple tips left for us. Always looking for the best way to cut out windows. Do you have any tips for cutting out envelope windows?
hey Dusty nioe to meet you, do you mean the envelopes windows with the little rounded corners? if it is I cut an x in the centre of the window, then use a small hole punch in each inside corner, then cut the straight lines right up to blend in with the rounds of the little circles that youve cut in the corners ✨ ♥︎♡☆🦋 hugs Donna happy crafting
