    👎🏼 I DO NOT buy, nor recommend plant SEEDS on Amazon, only live plants & cuttings from sellers well rated. I've had too many bogus experiences.
    👍🏼 I absolutely DO recommend Amazon on live plants that you can’t get locally. Several of our multi-year tropicals have come from good suppliers on Amazon (like (Logee’s, American Plant Exchange, Cold Hardy Farms, Costa Farms, Old Oaks Nursery, Hirts, etc.) and arrived alive and well.

    Unless I missed it, do you need to have a water pressure regulator? Do you know the PSI coming from your water spigot?

    • @Tiki71

      My run is so long, over pressure isn't an issue. ;)

      I'm telling you, this is fantastic. One could hook a sprinkler hose and fertilize the lawn too.

    Great video! Thanks for sharing! I'm ordering one of those right now! I have one question (for now). How often do you have to refill your tank? I water my beds every two days for 30 minutes here in DFW.

      I've been micro dose feeding once a week. Tons of blooms. Check out my latest garden tour video to see how the garden has done since then 🤙 th-cam.com/video/pY6g1EbpFKk/w-d-xo.html

    Definitely a timesaver. But palms require different fertilizer than bananas and flowered plants. If you feed your palms MG bloom booster won’t that cause a magnesium, potassium deficiency in your palms?
    Do you notice a difference in your palms when feeding Miracle Grow?

    • @Tiki71
      @Tiki71  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's a small dose. They get palm tone every two months in the growing season, March thru September, so no worries about deficiencies.

    you calculated your flow rate for discs by doing bucket test? because afaik it's the calculated flow rate of the driptape, i.e. total irrigation rate. the tape has the flow rate per 100 feet or whatever rating and you add up your rows. with sprinklers you add them up with their ratings.
    i just got the injector tank and getting ready to set it up. Hoss Tools were telling me it goes before the driptape regulator, which confuses me.
    nice one.

    • @Tiki71
      @Tiki71  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah. I used a bucket test. With all of my lines, it's micro dosing anyway. It's been working great this season, btw.

      @@Tiki71 : yep, as long as the fertilizer goes, all ends up in soil and feeds the plants in diluted form. i use mainly 20-20-20 + trace elements, in a big bag,

      No, I haven't. I pre dilute everything pretty good in the pitcher and pour it in.

    I have a small chapin fertilizer injector and I was wondering if I can send fish emulsion through there and would it clog up the drip emitters? I did try it once and it was still brown after an hour of run time and I figured that it was not good to do this so I stopped.

    • @Tiki71
      @Tiki71  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's why I dilute it in a pitcher first. I can't speak to Chapins though.

      @@Tiki71 thanks. You know what, that’s probably it. I remember pouring the fish emulsion in the injector then water. I’ll mix it in a container first.

    How do you calculate gph?

    • @Tiki71

      I ran my water under a timer until it filled a gallon jug. Then I figured how many gallons i would have after 60 minutes.

    great video. thanks. do you have to "pressurize" system/tank every feed? in other words, i won't be able to go on vacation and have everything fully automated for say 2 months?

    • @Tiki71
      @Tiki71  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It will stay pressurized. On the fast setting. It will take about two hours of watering to empty the tank.

    • @Tiki71
      @Tiki71  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's sprawling and branches into multiple pool beds. The video should give you an idea. I've never measured the lines, but I had a 100' of black tubing and I've probably ran about 60-75' worth of main line tubing..

  • @caseyarmstrong7064

    I don’t think that organic fertilizer (fish emulsion) is being beneficial when you mix it with synthetic salts (bloom booster)
