I arrived at this destination via the construction video and I am so delighted to discover both of these talented and professional musicians! What a joy to see and hear such passion and skill in the art of playing instruments. Perfect selection for this video and of course the recording is excellent. Big salute to Bert van der Meij for capturing the proper balance of tone and voicing of such a well built guitar. I am thankfully impressed to have witnessed the full process that lead up to hearing this instrument in the hands of a master... ! Love & Respect!
Yes, B.VM video (which is equal to a University Course on documentary film~making itself, is an absolute wonder to watch, YOU'RE saying he has made only a handful of guitars in his life before this. The one in your hands is a miracle of craftsmanship perfected. The side bracing alone would interest a civil engineer. You are a VERY, very lucky man, Matt.

What a warm, and wonderful sustain and tone! Superb workmanship in that instrument! After seeing the finished product I'm very much impressed! But to tell the truth here,,, I knew it would sound primo, after watching the entire video build! LOL!! Cheers Matt!!!
I've seen it being build, with a Twin brother, that was masterfull..the sound and play of you both was nothing short of that. Wonderfull sound in the vd Mey guitar and excelent performance. Thx...and your level of playing justifise a guitar like that. Thx again...
