Actually, huge thanks for the subtitles. I’m not a native English speaker and sometimes it’s hard to understand what anybody is saying. I’d highly appreciate if you’d continue to do that from now on ❤✨
One of my all time favorite comedies. The cop who was on the mic in the mall is Sheriff John Bunnell, an ex sheriff from Oregon who went on to host the television show America's Wildest Police Chases.
I worked as a manager in a theater when this movie came out, we had to post signs everywhere, saying that this movie was rated R and was not for children in any way, shape or form. People still showed up with their kids and were pissed.😂
I started sympathizing with Willie a little earlier than you guys. When he talked about his dad it reminded me of a couple of people I've known over the years (one in particular) who had outcomes similar to Willie's. This is by far my favorite Christmas movie, and I suspect it would still be my favorite even if I sought out other good Christmas movies. I don't see how a Christmas movie could appeal to me more than this.
Love this film. Even though Willie is a shitty person. He actually does care for the kid. Especially that scene when he's talking down to himself and saying that he knows that Willie is not Santa but likes him because he is his friend. That kinda got me lol.
Best Christmas movie of all time, period. Bill Bob was actually pretty drunk filming some of these scenes. I think he said "You can't be just a little drunk when playing a character like that, you have to go all the way"
Nobody seems to get the guy from office space that attacks Billy Bob saying he's not gay. Clearly that guy was diddled as a kid by someone dressed as Santa, perhaps while he was dressed as an elf. Its pretty dark. Everyone's always just like "whats wrong with that guy??"
Don't know if you guys recognized John Ritter in the film. Super beloved sitcom actor. He co-starred with Billy Bob Thornton in the sitcom Hearts Afire and also appeared in Sling Blade which Billy Bob Thornton starred in, wrote and directed (you should check it out) as well as being in Bad Santa with him too. This was Ritter's last film before sadly dying on the set of his sitcom 8 Simple Rules.
"Susan Slept Here" is a Christmas film from 1954. Starring Debbie Reynolds, Red Skelton, and Dick Powell. "A Simple Twist of Fate" starring Steve Martin and Catherine O'Hara.
Billy Bob Thornton wrote and directed Slingblade, which established him in Hollywood and it also had John Ritter in it. I didn't realize until watching your vid now that Ritter is also in this movie with Billy Bob!
This became one of my Christmas classics as soon as I saw it. My mother and most os my family also loved it. We watched it every December. This will be my first year watching it with her gone but I'll still watch it with family or alone, however it works out this year. It's dark funny, just what I love. The second one is ok, IMO, but I only watched it once where the extended cut of Bad Santa is always just as good as the first time for me. 🐾🐾🍻🍻
YES. I've left a similar comment on other channels that are doing holiday movie reaction videos -- you NEVER see reactions to this one! On a side note, every year, I make an attempt to tell someone else about this movie. It's crazy to me that so many people have never heard of it. So many quotable lines -- and Kevin Spacey delivers what may be my singular favorite movie quote in the history of film. I actually saw The Ref in the theater in 1994. LOL!
Truthfully, I just watched this for you guys. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation is more my speed instead of Bad Santa. BTW, have you seen the 1974 version of Black Christmas? It stars one of your fellow Brits (whom I love) Miss Olivia Hussey. BTW Sean, loving your Christmas sweater (yes I know, jumper)! 😆😆
Funny as hell. The writing duo behind this movie would go on to direct some really funny and slick films. Crazy, Stupid, Love is very funny; but I Love You, Phillip Morris is insanely funny. Great Jim Carrey performance.
Hi, love your channel. A Christmas movie that I think you both would like to review is The Ref, 1994. Due to poor marketing, odd title and an opening in summer it basically got lost. The writing is very funny and the dialogue is outstanding. It's with Denis Leary, Kevin Spacey, Judy Davis and Christine Baranski.
If you like Terry Zwigoff directed movies, I highly recommend *Ghost World* . I also like his movie *Art School Confidential* , although it's not as popular as *Bad Santa* or *Ghost World* .
He said niche the way Americans say it. The way British say garage and aluminum kills me. Its like the saying tomato/tomahto. Love your channel nonetheless, and this movie took me a second to get into because Santa is so damned crude, but as with 'There's Something About Mary' this too is great.
Check out ‘29th Street’ with Tony LaPaglia and Danny Aiello. Obscure, probably hard to find, and funny as hell. Lottery, mobsters, Kentucky blue grass and yes, Christmas!
It was nitch until 1917. Someone must have thought it looked French and started pronouncing it neesh. I think it's heavily leaning to neesh nowadays, but both are listed in dictionaries.
Boo, you guys looked half-asleep and didn't look in the mood for a comedy. I watch this every December as it's a classic comedy that's continuously funny from start to finish and has great characters and hilarious dialogue. Rewatch it... the raunchiness of the foul-mouth humor contrasted with the sweet sickliness of most holiday movies makes it a great satire as well. Plus, it does make you feel the spirit of the season with the redemption of this depressed drunk by the sweet kid.
Lol..., Whitney Huston🤗🤗Guys I'm still trying to breathe after watching The Haunting of Hill House, series. That got to me, and thank god u guys I didn't feel so alone watching it with u , kinda. And, yes to Christmas cheer and getting to see this for the first time☃
Christmas movie suggestion: The Long Kiss Goodnight. Action movie directed by Renny Harlin, starring Geena Davis and Samuel L. Jackson. Lots of gunfire, explosions, violence, etc...and Christmas!
Was this an extended cut/director’s cut? I watch this every year, and there were scenes and shots you showed that I’ve never seen before. (I can see why they cut them-it seemed to make the pacing drag.) Glad you watched this one. It’s one of my favorites.
3 Days of the Condor, The Silent Partner, Eyes Wide Shut, Cobra, Lethal Weapon, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang are all good Christmas season films. I’d also recommend Dial Code Santa Claus which is sort of like if Home Alone were a horror movie.
This is my 3rd favourite Christmas movie, but still annual tradition to watch it in my household! I love that you guys did this one - but I would absolutely love to see you watch my number 2) Batman Returns (you already did the first Tim Burton Batman), and finally, my my all time favourite Christmas (and New Year) movie, at 1) Trading Places. Absolute classic, though admittedly has a whole bunch of scenes you'd never get away with today. Eddie Murphy, Dan Ackroyd, Jamie Lee Curtis - you can't go wrong.
Love you're intro! Very festive! 🎄 I loved this reaction. So fun! 😁 I know you already picked out all the Christmas movies you're going to watch but maybe next year you could watch The Family Stone? It's a fun Christmas comedy that I think you guys would enjoy.
Have you seen It's a Wonderful Life? It's my favorite Christmas movie. Don't watch the colorized version though, you have to see it in the original black and white. 😊👍
This is one of my have-to-watch-it-every-Christmas movies. Even more so than Die Hard. I see The Star Wars Holiday Special as a thanksgiving thing. But since I don't live in Thanksgiving Land, that time of year is SWHS-time. You watch the damn thing and become thankful you don't have to for another whole year. And it helps to be drunk, just so you have an excuse...
From 2009-2019 i would have people over to drink and watch this and drink and thiajbhs watfj and too drink... Yeah, drunken Bad Santa Movie Night every December. Finally resuming post covid tomorrow night.
When Billy Bob Thornton is beating up the kids the music playing is the soundtrack to The Bad News Bears which Billy Bob Thornton did a remake of which is worth watching but the original with Walter Matthau is much better.
Bad santa 2 is not as good as the first one, but if you liked the characters and gags of the first movie and want more of it without high expectations it fits perfectly. It's kinda like eating leftover pizza the next day, not as good as the day earlier but it's the closest thing you get
What are you looking for? A Very Brady Christmas? Santa Clause vs the Martians? There is that is obscure because of age called the Bishops Wife. It stars one of yours-- Carey Grant. In terms of horror there is Silent Night, Deadly Night. Kinda of famous because of the push back it received from mother's groups in the USA in 1984. It killed its box office
I consider Bad Santa to be a classic all time great comedy.. Bad Santa 2 has some funny moments but it's really cruel and mean spirited while having no heart or charm like the original.. the sequel is worth checking out in your spare time but probably not worth reacting to..
Bad Santa is one of my favourite movies. So many underrated comedic actors in this movie.
RIP Bernie Mac, John Ritter, Cloris Leachman.
John Ritter was also in Sling Blade (1996) with Billy Bob Thornton, who wrote, directed, and starred in it. It's definitely worth a watch.
Actually, huge thanks for the subtitles. I’m not a native English speaker and sometimes it’s hard to understand what anybody is saying. I’d highly appreciate if you’d continue to do that from now on ❤✨
Personally, I give this film a 9 out of 10 and have found it to be highly rewatchable over the years.
Whitney Houston
Or Dolly 🙂
Famous cover
Sean(Shawn- never quite sure) was trying Whitney Houston's cover of Dolly Parton's I will always love you. At least that's what it sounded like to me.
Neither, it’s Shaun 😂
@@orlog3343 Thanks for the info.
One of the best modern Christmas movies ever. That kid's gonna be awesome when he grows up!
Nope he was still a dipshit loser in the sequel
@@justthisguy1948 Feels like the sequel was just a Christmas gift they gave to themselves. Not much heart in it.
One of my all time favorite comedies. The cop who was on the mic in the mall is Sheriff John Bunnell, an ex sheriff from Oregon who went on to host the television show America's Wildest Police Chases.
Not only is Bad Santa one of the funniest Xmas movies ever made, but one of the funniest movies ever made, period.
This should be good.
You were trying to sing (I Will Always Love You) by Whitney Houston. Im pretty sure Dolly Parton sang it first😁
There were some great moments in this film. The lunch break scene cracks me up every time.
I worked as a manager in a theater when this movie came out, we had to post signs everywhere, saying that this movie was rated R and was not for children in any way, shape or form. People still showed up with their kids and were pissed.😂
😂😂
Reading is fundamental. 🤦🏿♀️🤦🏿♀️🤦🤣🤣
You figure the title of the film should be a red flag...
@@claymccoy plus, I don't think I've ever seen Billy Bob Thornton in anything kid friendly.
@@JemJam2976 maybe Bad News Bears but that’s a big maybe

You could argue it's not a Christmas movie but how about Trading Places (1983)? An amazing movie from the 80s, great plot and really funny.
Best Christmas movie of all time, period.
Bill Bob was actually pretty drunk filming some of these scenes. I think he said "You can't be just a little drunk when playing a character like that, you have to go all the way"
Thanks guys - one of my Top 5 Christmas movies! I even watch it at random times during the year when I need a laugh. 🙂❤
Sean hit the first two notes of Whitney Houston's version of I Will Always Love You (written by Dolly Parton).
hahaha you were about to sing WHITNEY HOUSTON at the start of this video lol lol so funny!!
Jumper is it? Does it have the sewn-in booties for the footsies too? Who knew baby clothes came in such a big size?
Nobody seems to get the guy from office space that attacks Billy Bob saying he's not gay. Clearly that guy was diddled as a kid by someone dressed as Santa, perhaps while he was dressed as an elf. Its pretty dark. Everyone's always just like "whats wrong with that guy??"

'Dutch' is a great underrated Christmas movie.
I didn't realize just how old this movie was until I saw Bernie Mac and John Ritter share a scene.
"and I " that is Whitney Houston, from I will always love you. That is what he was trying to sing.
I'm so glad you guys are reacting to this! This is my favorite Christmas film!
"Susan Slept Here" is a Christmas film from 1954. Starring Debbie Reynolds, Red Skelton, and Dick Powell. "A Simple Twist of Fate" starring Steve Martin and Catherine O'Hara.

You should check out "The Ref." It is a vastly overlooked and underrated xmas movie. A great cast and absolutely hilarious.

I Love You Phillip Morris is so underrated!
The song you started to sing in the beginning of the video was "I Will Always Love You" as performed by Whitney Houston.
Recommendation for Christmas movie: Scrooged with Bill Murray
Watch Better Watch Out (2017). Soiid movie with some great twists. Christmas Evil is a pretty good Scorese-esque film set at Christmas too.
You ask for suggestions: Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol (1962) and Last Christmas (2019).
Great video...keep it up boys. One of the best movie reaction channels going... your analysis at the end sets them apart.
One of my all time favs this film. And you were singing Whitney Houston in the beginning :D
Hi, love your channel. A Christmas movie that I think you both would like to review is The Ref, 1994. Due to poor marketing, odd title and an opening in summer it basically got lost. This is one of the most hilarious comedies of all time IMO, definitely a top 3 Xmas staple! Billy Bob was born for this role
I think this is Billy Bob Thornton‘s best movie!❤
I forgot how funny Bernie Mac was in this. R.I.P
Some Xmas movies I love- Elf, Trading Places, Rare Exports, Nightmare before Xmas, and Scrooged!!! Loving the content guys!
Started with the #1 Christmas movie for me. R.I.P. John Ritter & Bernie Mac
I haven't seen it yet, but I read that Rare Exports is a great freaky Xmas movie

Santa Claus Conquers The Martians (1964)
In the same vein as this but I think even funnier is the Christmas movie called The Ref

This movie is amazing! One of the best comedies ever.
My mother's favorite Christmas movie!
some top tier casting in this film
Recommend another underrated Christmas comedy The Ref, with Denis Leary, Judy Davis and pre-Keyzer Soze Kevin Spacey.
Good, its hilarious! I lol at everything in it, the randomness, and especially the kid
3 Days of the Condor, The Silent Partner, Eyes Wide Shut, Cobra, Lethal Weapon, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang are all good Christmas season films.

I kinda hope they'll do A Charlie Brown Christmas. Just a lovely little special.
Not sure what a jumper is, but I like your sweater. Where can I get one? And niche in the US is pronounced “nitch”. I give this 8 out of 10.
Bruce Willias said Die Hard is not a Christmas movie
Watch the 1984 Silent Night, Deadly Night! just the first one!!.....Then the 2012 remake Silent Night. Both are really good Christmas horror films.
When Billy Bob Thornton is beating up the kids the music playing is the soundtrack to The Bad News Bears which Billy Bob Thornton did a remake of which is worth watching but the original with Walter Matthau is much better.
The Night Before
Another vote for this. One of the funniest of recent years. Seth Rogen is outstanding in it.
such an underrated movie
Recommending Better Watch Out for a good Christmas horror.
😅😂☝Whitney Houston
(I will always love you - from the Bodyguard)👍
I recomend a movie called "A Midnight Clear", 1992.
