I don't make a habit of commenting on TH-cam clips, but I have to say that this is an excellent and very straightforward demo. Much easier than trying to work it out from the Manual! Thanks for keeping me (relatively) sane.
Hello, I have a Boss Noise Supressor 2 pedal, so how should I connect this pedal into looper ? Should I include in regular order and without using 4 cable method ? Regards
haven't noticed any noise. I turned my amp up and listened to the level with the pedalboard, then I removed the pedalboard and did not detect any more or less noise. so I would say that it is a winner. If it could do Midi switching for this price, then i would say that all those big name brands would start sweating, lol!
That looks amazing for the money - way better value than the Voodoo Labs kit! I gotta ask; Is your accent Welsh-Jamaican? :o) Its certainly a new one on me!
Have you tried this through an Effects Loop of an amp instead in front? If so, has there been any diminish in tone quality or "tone suck" as the gear snobs say?
Thank you that was really helpful in my decision making for a programmable pedal switcher. For the price I don't think this piece of kit can be beat as long as it remains stable and noise free. Again thanks! BTW Trini??
hi man, great vid, next week i m gonna buy the pxl8, but one question: i think i will connect WAH and tuner not in a loop, but in input, so GTR --> TUNER --> WAH --> pxl8 input. is that correct? And how can i connect 10, 12 pedals in pxl8? i must connect 2 pedals or more in a loop? thanx man!
How can you deal with pedals that are in your effects loop or in front of the amp ? I mean you only have one in and one out on this outside of the pedals ?
Thank you for the demonstration mate, it was very helpful. I have one question: do you experience any sort of delay when switching from a patch to another? Thank you in advance
unfortunately, I don't have an amp with an effects loop. I'm rocking with a 1977 Deluxe Reverb. And I have blind tested this FX looper and cannot tell if there is any tone-suck.
I see it has only 1 input and 1 output on this pxl8 , All of modulation effect signal goes to input of the amp right ? can't separate them to Amp send-return ?
Great guide. Couldn't work out how to do it with the manual. Thanks. btw thomann.de have a version of this if you're buying in Europe. It's called the Harley Benton FLX8 looper. It looks so similar it can only be made by Joyo - and it's cheaper.
i made up all my patch cables ...Mogami cable and GLS 90 degree connectors. I couldn't use standard length ones cyz if the variations to pedal placement.
Hi Man, I have a CRAZY question!?!?!?!? I have an amp with a FX loop at the back, and Id like to use the PXL8 to control my pedals going in the input of the amp as well as on the FX loop. My idea is to use one of the JOYOs loops for the preamp of my amp. Id like to use/sacrifice “LOOP 5” on the joyo as such; JOYO SEND in the Amp INPUT, and the FX SEND from my amp in the JOYO RETURN. Id keep loop 5 ON my Joyo on at all times. And the output of the JOYO would go to the FX Return of my amp. Is that gonna work or I’m missing something very obvious?
What about amplifier's FX loops? Say for example, I have an overdrive and a EQ pedal in front of the amp, and then a delay and chorus in the amplifier's effect loops. I'd like to have a preset that turns on the overdrive and the delay for my lead tone, and another preset for a clean tone, with the EQ and chorus pedal enabled. But since the pedals are not in the same chain(one in front of the amp, and the other in the effect loop), it won't work with this switching system, right?
This is an inline switcher only, as far as I can tell. I believe the pro version will do amp or loop switching if it is simple single button switch or midi.
Ezwan Rosli this is what it is currently, but I'm planning to swap some pedals. _lh3.googleusercontent.com/GqL96hVMzgTIgtIzdkcGKNqQxi4JohjW2vc0S5xJwSsBEsb8-J-t28WZJo0drqGXcGBuY1FIrA0_
Brow, you didn’t play any note. When you activated all pedal in the bank A, some noise or much noise should come through. I don’t know. Your demonstration is nice, but it is incomplete.

Tony Shergold ,
so much easier to understand then the other vids I found. to many people over complicate with over explanation. good job.
I just got mine based mostly on your review and I just LOVE this thing! Thanks very much for the review!
Great demo. I've just got one of these. Very clearly explained, thank you...! 👍
Thanks Daniel. That was a clear and direct demo. I was deciding ether the PXL-8 or the Pro. The 8 will do fine.
I would get the Pro for future proofing reasons ...you can have the Midi capability if you ever needed it down the road.
Many thanx for this demo,mate.
This is just what I'm looking for to replace my Loop-Master.
I'm sold ♠
no probs. I was ticked off when I couldn't find one. I hope this helps clear any doubts potential buyers might have.
so far so good. no issues what so ever. Just make sure it is getting a clean/healthy power supply.
Fantastic Demo - I am sold on it!
Great demonstration. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you - finally a decent explanation
How on earth does this review have 5 dislikes. :/
Great quick demo, thanks!
Hey, thanks for all the comments. The routing I use is as follows:
guitar -> tuner -> wah -> PXL8(with 8 effects) -> buffer -> amp
Thanks for the vid. I am totally going to buy one of these now.
Thanks for this, I appreciate the review. Couldn't find a good one either.
I'm curious with that red colour pedal next to PXL8, attracted by the symbol on it.. Is that a fuzz?
great demo Do you have any idea on how to connect the volume pedal after the overdrives?
Put it in the loop immediately after the last overdrive pedal.
Very good video. Thanks

Hola Daniel I have a DigiTech whammy pedal and a bad horsie wah how would you set those up using the pxl8 thank you great video
it's a serial loop. There are other Switching pedals that offer serial/parallel options, however this one does not.
great video thanks every other video is 20 minutes long ha
what size board do you have? I would like to know what board that it will fit on. thanks.
Cheers mate! Good description! Thanks!

glad I could have helped out!

Big help, thanks man!
how many pedal effects you can use here?
what kind of power supply does it need, does it come with an adapter, or is it like the standard house current, like what your amp runs off of?
How can you deal with pedals that are in your effects loop or in front of the amp ? I mean you only have one in and one out on this outside of the pedals ?
Thanks for the reply. Any issues with reliability?
Quick question are the jacks spaced enough for low profile (pancake) jacks? Or do I have to re do my cables with standard right angle plugs? Thanks
Does it makes any kind of unwanted noise?
No prob. glad it helped ;)
Thank you for the demonstration mate, it was very helpful.
I have one question: do you experience any sort of delay when switching from a patch to another? Thank you in advance
Would my boss tuner be able to work aswell? Is it applicable to all pedals?
unfortunately, I don't have an amp with an effects loop. I'm rocking with a 1977 Deluxe Reverb. And I have blind tested this FX looper and cannot tell if there is any tone-suck.
it did help.. and thanks !
I make my own patch cables up with Mogami cable & 90degree connectors bought off eBay.
I see it has only 1 input and 1 output on this pxl8 , All of modulation effect signal goes to input of the amp right ?
can't separate them to Amp send-return ?
yup, you got it.
Great guide. Couldn't work out how to do it with the manual. Thanks.

Could you tell me what the dimensions are for this loop switcher?
Sorry for the delay bro... here are the Dimensions; L 17.5", D 2.5"(without 1/4" jacks plugged in), H 2"(including switch height).
Nice!
Should we turn on every pedals in the switcher?
Yes, but you can switch off individual pedals per taste if that are in a program loop.
@@danielcgomez heum i see... I already buy it just by now and read the manual first .. thanks anyway
Oh ya, Sorry once more bro, have you ever try with noise supressor or gate? I have boss ns2 and cannot find in the manual how to route it
A question... did you have to make the patch cables or is a specific length available somewhere?
i made up all my patch cables ...Mogami cable and GLS 90 degree connectors. I couldn't use standard length ones cyz if the variations to pedal placement.
BTW, Corbeautown? Pardon my spelling!
I need it.
i have a question, when the effects are active, they work in serial mode or parallel mode??
btw this is really usefull :)
Thanks!!🎸🇨🇦🥃

Fogo B it makes sense to me ... If you have some extra cables, go ahead and try it out
CARL MARTIN OCTA SW SAYS THATS HOW TO DO FOUR CABLE METHEOD
I HAVE JOYO ALSO GOING TO TRY IT LET US KNOW HOW IT WORKS
One question I still have: Can you use a channel for a splitter? i.e., can you use only the send of a channel to create a signal split? Thanks! :-)
thanks
can any one tell me if there is a different brand that make a pedal similar to the wave-x pxl8
Ciao gianluca, che differenza c'è tra il parallelo e il seriale?
your accent makes me want to light up a joint.

What size pedalboard do you have dude?
Pedal Train pro I believe.
Ahh, thankyou! :D
А что к тебя за примочка "Серп и молот"?
это педаль Red Muck Fuzz

hi do you still use joyo pxl8 now? is it still working?
Ezwan Rosli ...it still works.
what is the size for your pedalboard?
Pedal train pro.
can you give me the picture of your pedalboard? i just curious , how many effect do you have on your pedalboard?
Ezwan Rosli this is what it is currently, but I'm planning to swap some pedals.

no delay at all when switching ...I get a more noticeable delay with my Line 6 Pod 2.0 with Floorboard than with this sucker.

Corbeautown? Lol ...no clue what that means
