Even if you believe in God you have no way to know the state of his soul or if he was "saved" depending on what religion you believe in, protestant Christian, catholicism, Islam, Buddhism etc. Just because he was severely disabled by "normal" standards doesn't mean he would automatically go to a better place if such a place even existed lol. The amount of suffering in the world already proves that's not the case, like say a baby animal that gets it foot trapped and dies in agony without really experiencing anything good from life. But animals can't go to heaven or hell according to most religions because they aren't capable of choosing right or wrong, for example the bible says humans have Dominion over animals to use as we see fit and never once suggests they can have an afterlife. So really, having a hard life doesn't mean you're guaranteed something better. The fact that this life is pretty certain but we definitely don't know anything beyond that. And even if you just want to believe anyway because it makes you feel better, that's fine too but not if it makss light of suffering in the current world that we know exists. In hopes of a better one later.

It surprises me that Jon doesn't know that Sherpas are a race of people from the Himalayan mountains, specifically Napal. It's so annoying and frankly insulting that people think an entire race of people are simply a job title. You can hire a Sherpa to be a porter, a guide, a factory worker, a taxi driver, whatever. Imagine saying "I hired a Japanese man today" and people assume that he was hired to animate anime as if that is what a Japanese person does and only does. Also I believe Jon made this same mistake a few years ago and I tried to correct him then. Sherpas are not necessarily a guide or Porter, their race and culture obviously needs farmers and such. They are a full on people, not a job. 😢

Not many people know about Nepal over here in the west, they probably assumed a Sherpa is more of a cultural term for a guide rather than an ethnic group. It resulted in a seizure and I believe that was it. It wasn't disclosed in a standalone post or anything, but they clarified it to people who asked in the replies of official posts (which were also from his close friends) who verified his death. If it's any solace, many friends are also saying that as a comedian, he probably would've thought it was a great joke to go out on. He had a pretty open mind and heart when it came to humor.

It surprises me that Jon doesn't know that Sherpas are a race of people from the Himalayan mountains, specifically Napal. It's so annoying and frankly insulting that people think an entire race of people are simply a job title. You can hire a Sherpa to be a porter, a guide, a factory worker, a taxi driver, whatever. Imagine saying "I hired a Japanese man today" and people assume that he was hired to animate anime as if that is what a Japanese person does and only does.
Also I believe Jon made this same mistake a few years ago and I tried to correct him then. Sherpas are not necessarily a guide or Porter, their race and culture obviously needs farmers and such. They are a full on people, not a job. 😢
@@the_original_Bilb_Onots probably because its an even “nicher” grouping of people than say, being an Indian cabbie. Not many people know about Nepal over here in the west, they probably assumed a Sherpa is more of a cultural term for a guide rather than an ethnic group. I know I kinda got my understanding of “Sherpa” from Uncharted 2, when I was younger.

@@holysolhis close friends did state how he passed on twitter. he choked on pizza while drunk, tragicly and his conditions made him more suseptible to aspirating. It resulted in a seizure and I believe that was it. It wasn't disclosed in a standalone post or anything, but they clarified it to people who asked in the replies of official posts (which were also from his close friends) who verified his death. If it's any solace, many friends are also saying that as a comedian, he probably would've thought it was a great joke to go out on. He had a pretty open mind and heart when it came to humor.

I didnt know you but seeing you in this video and how much you enjoyed spending time with jon was enough. sorry you went out the way you did, you and your loved ones deserved better. you never had an easy life but you went at it with a lot of courage it seems.
