    Mrs. Chris I know that it is 2020 but I am here watching your video my husband loves the Success Rice in the bag but since the pandemic it has been kind of a hit and miss to find in the grocery store. I bought a family size bag of Mahatma Rice and cooked it your way it gave us the perfect rice he doesn't even know the difference .I will not purchase another boil in the bag rice again. Thank you so very much

    Ms. Chris, Can I say that you are wonderful? I've watched a few of your videos now, and you give such simple instructions. I like how you talk us through each step, and answer questions along the way. Thank you for helping us cook!! 🥰

    One of our missionaries came here from India(which eats rice almost everyday), and they said to always rinse it first before cooking it, that's why I asked. Thanks. : )

    Live in Hawaii and we eat "sticky" rice. I use a rice cooker and for every 1 cup rice I use 1 1/2 c cold tap water. The rice come out perfect too. I use to have a small pot that I just loved to make rice in; it would come out perfect too. Thanks for posting. 9/6/14.

    Jazz band playing and I'm second lining thru the house. Hi Chris just wanted to give you a visual of me after cooking rice the "Chris way" and it was perfect and I am 50+ and made gummy rice😂 Thanks so much for sharing your talent. Now back to preparing dinner, backbones with gravy, smothered corn and sausage with rice and of course your cornbread😊

    I have a question, what about black rice which is harder. can you show how to cook rice that is harder to cook. can you also cook grits and shrimp

    • @lblake5653

      I cook black rice and it will never have the consistency of white or brown. You have to bring it to a boil and then turn down and cook for almost 40 minutes. I am still working on timing from several recipes online. I also use broth to give it flavor. Really like this rice to add more nutrtion to my diet.

    Are you supposed to rinse it thoroughly first, to reduce the starch?

    Your long grain rice looks great but just so you know "sticky rice" is entirely different. Short grain rice is sticky and used more often is Asia. You seemed to be scoffing at a child who said their mother made great sticky rice 🍚 because you didn't realize it's a completely different dish than what you are cooking in this video.

    DEAR CHRIS... When I went to school a "question mark" indicated a question being asked... please knock the chip off your shoulder.... LIFE IS TOO SHORT! Good day. ; ))

    • @chriscook4u2
      @chriscook4u2  8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      My Dear Honey,
      There is no chip. It's my channel and on it I cook the way I was taught. If you have advice to give get a channel. This is a way to have perfect rice. I responded to the advice YOU gave. As far as your schooling that's not the subject at hand nor will I debate it. The chip came from you when you voiced how you felt (your personal opinion) I should do things.

      My very first comment left which was a question: (repeating the question) Are you supposed to rinse the rice first before cooking it, to remove the starch?", (QUESTION MARK!) has been removed from here along with your very 1st answer: "That is so not true." !?? Hopefully the viewers will be aware that owners of their channels are able to remove comments as they choose. That's OK. God is aware of EVERYTHING. Good day my friend, I'm wishing you the best. :))

      I would never remove a comment. How does that benefit me. You can't take out or add punctuation. It's O.k to disagree with someone. I have no problem with that. However, I wanted to make a public apology to you on my channel because I misread your initial comment. You did ask a question. I am sorry for my response.
