- On this episode I finally finish a project truck that has been in my shop for a decade. My buddy Kerry, dropped his 1949 ford F1 off with me 10 years ago to get it wired. Well, it kind of spiraled out of control and turned into a complete build.

Glad you went with tailights in the fenders, looks perfect.
Sure, but how long they gonna last with rain and mud being thrown up on the back sides?
@@xtr3m3fLxStreet rods & old trucks have had them there for years; never seemed a problem till you came along.
@@haworthlowell805it's very elementary to understand. Once a metal gets contact with mud and water it will deteriorate fast. I wonder what kind of brain do yer have.
@@Rasputin-p4e Well it's you not yer. That should explain everything.
Another great episode!!!!
This is my favorite body style ford pickup ever
Mine to I love them old trucks my Dad had one when I was a little boy .
My dad had 2 46 model Chevy trucks. The1 we got running had a stuck 6 cylinder. We got it freed up and running in the early 80s . For the life of me, I can not remember what happened to those trucks. I assume he sold them but I don’t know and there is nobody left alive I can ask. I haven’t thought about those trucks in many years but this reminded me even though this is ford.
🤔😂🤣 feel the burn, oh 🥺 she's so cold. lol me and "my" trees. 🤦
Mr. Keyes even stopped by for a visit!
Nice old truck,sounds sweet.
that is one heck of a nice truck 12volt!
The truck is looking good. Another great video 👍👍
Thanks for another great video.
I like that I would love to have it that is nice.
David, your boy's dragster, maybe touch base with sleeperdude. your tube channel and his channel turn up the heat to get it roaring. His son is ready for one as well. get the crowd to compete to get it going like so many others would jump in.
She's a beauty. Good job bud
Beautiful truck👍💯
This was fun. Thank you.
Nice truck. Good simple build.
And.NOT A MINUTE TOO SOON...LOL
CARRY ON...
12 volt dave,,that's cool
Fun looking truck 😊
Digging the blue dots! I had them on everything.
You make it look easy!
It's looking good! Those bondoed over holes in the fenders are from covering frenched headlights.
like freiburger always says dont get it right just get it running! only you got it pretty right.
Good job Dave
Cool old truck!
My favorite year
cool truck a nice builder
I love to see your projects driving through Waco. I work at WGTC.
Love this truck tho. But man. I'd have to find some more patina fenders. That bondo being that bad and thick would make me crazy. Lol. Dents would be better. I love the truck tho. No hate ment
Love the truck
I like it a lot. nice job.
That rig is ready for a "shine" run.
Sweet truck!!!!
My kinda build, I love it
taillights are cool, I was hoping for some 66 mustang like we use to do or 65 impala
My Dad and I are working on a 49 and a 50 right now
I hope you covered the back of those tail lights to keep the road crap from getting into the wiring.
I think those bumpers are for the 49 to 54 chevy trucks
Dang. Wonder what caused the rack to do that when it's hardly even been moved or driven. Thats wild. Is there rubber or smtn that could or deteriorated. I hope I don't sound dumb asking that. I know a good bit. However I've never broke down a rack.
Those old fords with those fenders had lots of rust cause they just weren’t engineered properly to keep out water and dirt and stuff !
See lots of them with rust in those joints! But have watched that truck in the background of your videos and wondered what the deal was!
better than my 2003 car lol
Did I do that wiring on the head lights?
Getting it to Australia for Harry s hardass 1000
👍
Is the cab insulation bubble foil from Home Depot and if so what did you use for adhesive?
Your videos need to longer. Good stuff.
The color of thr truck looks like some fire trucks an it could have been a Fire Chiefs truck and had lights in the fenders.
Did you update the front suspension? Or is it original?
nevermind lol
Jeep Wrangler seats
Nice content! Are you interested in vehicle accessories sponsorship?
Awesome truck!!! The blue dots on taillights bug me, who thought that was a good upgrade? 😂
Love blue dots.
@@haworthlowell805 Me too.
🤘😎🤘
Put a 41 Willy’s fiberglass front cap on mine
Same nose as Stubby Bob!
Wonder how long it's been since this thing was on the road 🤔😂

I did like the patina crap...finish it
You better get the truck to the owner before dd speedshop grabs the daises off it. They are his favorite
moosekoot6331 Except the Ford rims aren't Daisy's. They are Torque Thrust D's.
Far from a historian or expert on vintage Ford trucks but I'd say those front fenders are either off of something else or they've been pieces grafted in from something else. I googled 47 to 50 ford f1 fenders and didn't see anything remotely like that. Is there anything noticeable on the inside of the fenders that might reveal it being modified?
Those are F1 front fenders. What about them do you think isn't right?
The trucks on a lift but yet your standing on a crate while working on the lights🤣 yup, something I would do
Love rats. But...... why not keep it brand matching.
It was built probably in the 80s and everyone put a small block chevy in their rods. I'd have kept it all ford but thats mainly just to make doing the timing a stuff easier as I don't like reaching all the way back behind the engine and firewall to adjust the dizzy.
@damianlindsey6177 makes sense yeah
Too bad you powered it with a sbc
Like really why is it so darned hard to use a SBF instead of a Chevy in that situation? C’mon. Just silly
I’m sick of Chevy engines in fords……..
No such thing as a decent Chevy motor thanks for ruining another Ford classic
Ponies in the Smokies sweatshirt FTW! @ssdandp
Cool old truck!
