How much damage does your ski take when doing this kind of stuff? I've been worried about sucking up small bits of weed let alone running it through thick weed and up on land haha
The only damage I had was when I hit that tree at 20mph! The damage was on the front bumper which did not affect anything mechanical. I've since gotten rid of that ski, for other reasons that were there when I bought it on craigslist.
Weeds wont hurt the jet pump, but will clog the intakes for cooling and overheat the engine and warp the head/blow the head gasket.. Running across berms and running over ground in general will trash the pump vanes, impeller and wear ring in short order, especially if the pump ingests a big rock. Don't do it unless you've got a trash ski that you don't care about. Those look/sound like Kawasaki STX 12F or 15Fs. Really nice skis, shouldn't trash them like that.

Right. Maybe they couldn't get a buyer but wanted to upgrade. On the other hand, I wish they could appreciate the affordability of owning a jetski. Here in Malaysia, it's hard to get hold of a jetski. Cheapest you can get starts at 5k USD if you're lucky enough

What jetski are you running?
In this video is was a 2007 Kawasaki ST-17f (something like that). Now I have a 2016 Yamaha V1 Sport (same as the VX model).
Pretty sure that voids the warranty.
