I cannot for the life of me figure how you don't have a million views per video! I also can't figure out how you don't have a million followers! Not only is your work second to none, your editing and production is flawless.
I would say "I can't believe someone would hate on you CCAD!" But sadly, some people just don't get it yet. We're all in this pool of suffering together, let's lift each other up -- life is hard enough as it is.
hate is important! it keeps the haters at bay and busy, so they dont stand in the way of people spreading the love and they lock themselves out at the same time! win/win.
It's so great to see an old LiteAce getting some proper love! I can't believe people still look at these as "why bother" vehicles. Interesting to see the techniques for single stage paint. I have an EB II Falcon, in mostly original LeMans Red acrylic lacquer, with a Shine Mate DA on the way, so this came in very handy. Keep up the great work!
Do what makes you happy. You know better about your life. Be happy. Soon things will improve and you will have good business and God bless you and your family ❤️❤️❤️❤️
The thing that stands out to me is it doesn't matter what condition your car is in just take pride in it and your work. Thanks for this fascinating look at this great little van getting some love. Cheers Brenton. You could shave in that glass! 🤣
Thank you Sandro for this two part series. I would love to see more videos similar to this series! As if I'm honest, I too have a Toyota which to everyone else is of no real financial value. Though to me it is the sentimental value of it being my first car. This detailing series is a quick and doable weekend job which I will be attempting on my car. Thank you once again Sandro for all your content you create!
Really glad you enjoyed this series and most of the vehicles I own really aren’t worth a great deal of money but definitely worth a great deal personally for the enjoyment they provide and that’s something you can’t put a price tag on!
Toronto Canada AKA The 6 🇨🇦 This just proves to me that you can make any🚙🚐🚛 look good if you just take some time 👍🏽 I watch all your videos and reviews you've given me tips and ideas how to make my car look it's best💫 I'm just a weekend warrior 💪🏾 I'm not a super detailed guy but that's why I love your channel you keep it real and down to earth 🌍
Your videos are always the best thing to wind down after a mentally busy day. I also deeply appreciate your off topic tangents as they always have such simple, strong and important wisdom that needs to be heard. Keep it up Sandro, I look forward to learning from you when the classes open up again!
Sandro your attention to detail and off topic observations have me watching your videos each evening since i found your channel. I only watch your videos and those of the forensic detailing channel in the UK. You have inspired me to spend some time on my 1995 Renault Trafic i bought when i moved here to France. Love your videos, the camera work and music selection, they are in my opinion an art-form, your work is outstanding, truely outstanding.
Where I’m from,LiteAce Vans are used as Beaters and are already rusting and in horrible condition.I hate it how people don’t care for their vehicles when they get old and only Classics and Sports cars mostly receive that attention. It’s really nice seeing a pristine example like this which is really rare.I love it!
Great video Sandro! I find it great when the pro's show us what can be done in quicker time on an older car. I enjoy my detailing, but I drive a 15 year old $5,000 station wagon. And it's great to have a more accurate target to aim for, rather than comparing my work to what is possible on a brand new high-end car. Cheers
You’re a class act Sandro, couldn’t agree with you more about different types of detailing not being better or worse, just different. Have you ever read “Kitchen Confidential” by Anthony Bourdain? I feel like you’d also have the talent to write a book from your perspective as a skilled craftsperson about your memoirs and musings from your life and craft. Who knows though, maybe books are dead and TH-cam is the perfect medium nowadays… Anyway, if you write it, I’ll read it. Cheers!
Great vid Sandro I know it’s an older one but lots of common sense and true facts about individual judgements and choice. Look forward to some new ones best wishes Pete Uk 🇬🇧
Your comments are interesting regarding others commenting. I only want to do paint work. Corrections, one steps or multi steps. I have health problems and I just end up in way to much pain to justify cleaning interiors. Some I talk to don’t understand that. I wouldn’t even offer any interior work unless a family member or a friend.
I know detailers that only do interior work and basic washes, and like wise others that refuse to do paint correction as it’s just not their thing - nothing wrong with that, it’s ultimately up to you!
It’s funny, but back in the day, a Hiace van wouldn’t have attracted a second glance, but you see an old girl like that, that’s still looking so good now, it’s awesome.
@@xr8rick No problem mate,And I do agree. It’s really nice seeing a LiteAce being more than 30 years old and still looking like it rolled off the factory:)
Thank you Sandro, this series was a nice change of pace and full of good information And thank you for saying what needed to be said about the current thinking going on lately Any thought on posting a video of outtakes or another satirical psa? We quite enjoyed the last one 😬
I definitely enjoy these types of detail videos. Also, have to compliment you on your selection of background music. Out of all the different detailing channels I view, I definitely enjoy the background music you incorporate into your videos.
Awesome video. Thank you for highlighting what you use for older single stage paint. I have a 1985 Toyota Land Cruiser with white paint - likely the same as yours. I’ve been trying to determine what the safest product & process will be to restore gloss, and it sounds like CarPro Essence Plus is the way to go.
24:59 classic. Hope all is ok over there Sandro. Watching you work on this van is so relaxing, I closed my eyes and just kept on listening to your narration halfway through. The music combo was great. Nearly nodded off at many points but I still listened to your rants. It's nice to hear them from time to time. Van looks great btw :)
Hey Sandro! The van turned out fantastic. Even though this was somewhat of a conservative detail…the end result is still boss. Best wishes for you and the family! Until next time…cheers mate!
As always Sandro Well down. Bit unusual seeing you doing a full detail on the old Van. But I imagine the best looking 30 YO van in the Southern Hemisphere now.
Thank you for spending time, talking about polishing glass. Curious how you were able to polish that plastic wind screen (over the driver’s window) in one pass with a microfiber pad and not get marring. It appeared very clear and clean. It seems the microfiber and compound would have scratched it noticeably.
The Shine Mate MF pad is one of the better finishing ones compared to most and S20 Black also generally finishes quite well. In saying that it was by no means a perfect correction or finishing outcome, but just a quick improvement.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing It sure looked clear in the video. Thank you for the info about the Shine Mate MF pad; it's that insider knowledge that is so valuable to us, and you are very generous with your gifts of knowledge. Your thoroughness of explaining and taking us along on the journey is unique. Most videos these days are short, thinking peoples' attention spans are short, but it's admirable how you value OUR ability to stay focused and pay attention longer than one minute. Awesome series, Sandro. Jordan Peterson would have approved some of the truth bombs delivered recently too… some wisdom that transcends detailing. Thanks for all the work that goes into these videos.
Great video as always! Have got a very old Honda CRV and use it to trial the detailing techniques I learn from your videos before attempting them on the fancier car. Having done a couple of full decontamination + SRP I am now about to try a full decontamination followed by CQuartz UK as both cars are outside in the harsh Australian conditions. I don't have a polisher though as is quite the investment so will just skip that step and move straight from decontamination to ceramic coating. Thanks again for the vids!
I recently did a 2 stage polishing to my white single stage corolla and for protection i ve used on dry surface hybrid ceramic spraiwax from mequiars.....is that right or wrong...is that capable to protect fresh polisherd paint;thanks
hello Sandro, why not using ceriglass compoud and pads for glass? i understand you are not going for correction but still make me wonder :) thanks for video
Ceriglass in my opinion and experience should only be used on badly scratched glass if you do want to try and reduce those scratches as it can leave tiny micro scratches behind that are extremely difficult to remove.
Is the CarPro Essence Plus the same kind of cleaner as P21S? I used the P21S as a paint cleaner (I’m a hobbyist), and it works well chemically, without abrasives.
P21s paintwork cleanser is more of a pre-wax paint cleaner, whereas Essence Plus has does that as well but also goes on to fill defects and seal the finish and was primarily formulated to repair older ceramic coatings.
