Isaiah 40:15-17 15 Behold, the nations are like a drop from a bucket, and are accounted as the dust on the scales; behold, he takes up the coastlands like fine dust. 16 Lebanon would not suffice for fuel, nor are its beasts enough for a burnt offering. 17 All the nations are as nothing before him, they are accounted by him as less than nothing and emptiness. No matter how great and powerful a nation may be, it can't compare to the greatness and power of God! Praying we would be a nation that fears the Lord and joyfully pursues obedience!
"Turn to me and be saved, all the ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other. By myself I have sworn; from my mouth has gone out in righteousness a word that shall not return: 'To me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear allegiance.' We don’t need more moral rulers…we need repentance! We need people to see that God is holy! This weekend at the underground retreat, Pastor Bill talked about how God’s holiness & wrath being preached led to the great awakening in America. People need to know that God is over the nations, including our nation before it is too late!

I pray every day for our country, that those who are unsaved will turn from their sin to Jesus in faith. I pray for Christians in our country to repent of any sin in their lives as well. 2 Chronicles 7:14 [14] if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
Job 12:23 “He makes nations great, and he destroys them; he enlarges nations, and leads them away.” I’m praying for America, that we would repent and turn to the LORD, and his name would be exalted among the nations!

This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” 1 Timothy 2:1-4 Truthfully, before coming to compass and being taught the word, I did not know that scripture commands us to specially pray for those who are governmental authorities over us and All people! This verse reminds me to pray for our nation because it says

I will put my Spirit upon him, and he will proclaim justice to the Gentiles. 19 He will not quarrel or cry aloud, nor will anyone hear his voice in the streets; 20 a bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not quench, until he brings justice to victory; 21 and in his name the Gentiles will hope.” Gods plan from the beginning was to send Jesus to die for our sins and be the hope for ALL people to repent and believe in Him! There is no one too far gone form salvation! Praying God works through us as a church to make us bold and speak up for His name sake!
Psalm 9:17 - The wicked shall return to Sheol, all the nations that forget God. Our nation is plagued by darkness and sin, idolizing money, fame, and individual “truth”. May we pray not only for our leaders to come to know God but for more to be saved. For I was once lost, but by God’s grace have been saved. May more people come to know the comfort of the ever-living God and the freedom that comes with Christ Jesus.
I wrote 2 verses down from this mornings reading that had me contemplating and praying for our nation: 2 Kings 19:25 ““Have you not heard that I determined it long ago? I planned from days of old what now I bring to pass..” and 2 Kings 19:28 “Because you have raged against me and your complacency has come into my ears, I will put my hook in your nose and my bit in your mouth, and I will turn you back on the way by which you came.” He determined every moment from the beginning on time. None of this is surprising or worrisome to him. And he will draw his people back to him and his name will be glorified and every knee will bow!
"Are there any among the false gods of the **nations** that can bring rain? Or can the heavens give showers? Are you not he, O LORD our God? We set our hope on you, for you can do all these things." ~Jeremiah 14:22 This verse from Jeremiah really makes me ponder your challenge Pastor Bobby. To imagine a world where America is judged and I continue in my faith no longer being American because we get vomited out because of our sin. The next chapter of Jeremiah is God pronouncing judgement on Judah. His grace ran out and it could run out for us too. Praying for revival from the Bible and an emboldened hope in God for my innermost joy, not my country.

1 Chronicles 16:23-24 [23] Sing to the LORD, all the earth! Tell of his salvation from day to day. [24] Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples! Praying that we would declare the Glory of our Lord Jesus Christ throughout America and that by this, a revival would happen!
but declared first to those in Damascus, then in Jerusalem and throughout all the region of Judea, and also to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, performing deeds in keeping with their repentance. - Acts 26:20 Praying that we would repent and God would relent.
Matthew 25:32 [32] Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. The fact that God will judge us all one day and separate us on the right and left is great motivation for me to pray. The Lord desires that none shall perish, I desire people won’t perish, so now is the time to pray and share that the nations would know the One who could give them life. The idea of judgement brings me back to a Christmas camp we did with United years ago where Pastor Bobby preached on 2 Corinthians 5. We dove deep into verse 10 the first night and the idea of standing before God someday became a thought I felt compelled to talk out with high schoolers then and still today. I’m praying this morning that people would consider the idea that they will stand before God one day and will be separated to the left and right based on how they lived this life!
This video reminds me of when I read John Piper’s “Let the Nations be Glad” when I graduated medical school. I had (and still do) want to start a non-profit ministry where I help relieve overseas missionary physicians so they can come back to their home counties and visit family, raise support and rest. Praying that the Lord would make it clear if He chooses to send me and my family! The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of human hands. Psalm 135:15 Wow! It was true then and it’s true now! The idolizing of false idols (money, reputation, sexual sin, the list goes on…) feels like an all time high. Praying for a revival! Praying for people to see there is ONE God and He is better than anything! JESUS 2024!!

[2] The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD and against his Anointed, saying, [3] “Let us burst their bonds apart and cast away their cords from us.” Psalm 2:9 [9] You shall break them with a rod of iron and dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.” Psalm 2:10-12 [10] Now therefore, O kings, be wise; be warned, O rulers of the earth. [11] Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. [12] Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish in the way, for his wrath is quickly kindled. Blessed are all who take refuge in him. I am using this psalm to guide my prayers! 👉Whole nations would kiss the Son -acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord 👉Nations would serve God with fear and rejoice with trembling 👉Nations would find refuge in Jesus turn to Him in repentance for the forgiveness of their sins.
This was such an encouraging and helpful way to find scriptures that can drive my prayers for our nation! Here’s a few of mine! ❤️🔥 Psalm 9:20 Put them in fear, O LORD! Let the nations know that they are but men! 2 Chronicles 20:6 and said, “O LORD, God of our fathers, are you not God in heaven? You rule over all the kingdoms of the nations. In your hand are power and might, so that none is able to withstand you Psalm 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”
““And I will set my glory among the nations, and all the nations shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid on them. The house of Israel shall know that I am the Lord their God, from that day forward.” Ezekiel 39:22-22 God is mighty and is in control! Reminded that He has his hands over us and is over all things!
Luke 24:47 and that repentance for the forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem. All nations need the gospel-including the United States! Praying for revival in our nation!

You alone are God, you are the creator of the nations, you have turned many hearts to fear your name, Hear our prayers for our nation that we may be a nation that fears your name, to You be the GLORY!
Revelation 7:9-12, After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could count, from every nation and all the tribes, peoples, and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, and palm branches were in their hands and they cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.” 11 And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures; and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 12 saying, “Amen, blessing, glory, wisdom, thanksgiving, honor, power, and might belong to our God forever and ever. Amen.”
The Nations are waxing worse and worse but this has been God’s target from beginning to end, to seek and save the lost. He’s wishing none to perish but all to come to repentance!!!
Proverbs 14:34 “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.” Yes Pastor Bobby I pray for revival too in the USA that we could do righteously by following Jesus and not continuing in sin. It makes my heart sad to see how we have become more sinful in my 75 years in this country. So let’s pray for God to turn hearts back to Him! Amen! Love you all! ( Sheila Livingston)
What always stirred me up was God working through Cyrus as his instrument to punish Babylon in Isaiah 45: 1-6 where God makes a prophecy about his destruction of Babylon," 45:1 Thus says the Lord to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have grasped, to subdue nations before him and to lose the belts of kings to open doors before him that gates may not be closed:" Not only do kings and nations incur God's wrath, but God uses other nations as his tools of wrath among other things!

Woooaaahhhh all of Jeremiah 16…. With special consideration of v 14-21. there will come a time in every persons life where they realize how worthless the things of this world are(were), when they see the power and might of the lord, and they will call him their lord. Today I am praying that happens here in our country! I am praying it happens before they stand before the lord where it will be too late. I looked up ETHNOS (NATIONS) in Matthew 28:19 “ Go therefore and maybe disciples OF ALL NATIONS, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” This is the same word NATIONS used 3x in God’s initial promise to Abraham in Gen 17. Genesis 17:3-8 Then Abram fell on his face. And God said to him, “Behold, my covenant is with you, and you shall be the father of a multitude of NATIONS. No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham, for I have made you the father of a multitude of NATIONS. I will make you exceedingly fruitful, and I will make you into NATIONS, and kings shall come from you. And I will establish my covenant between me and you and your offspring after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and to your offspring after you. And I will give to you and to your offspring after you the land of your sojournings, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession, and I will be their God.”
Romans 16:26 “but has now been disclosed and through the prophetic writings has been made known to all nations, according to the command of the eternal God, to bring about the obedience of faith-” Obedience ❤
How encouraging to know that God is in control! Psalm 72:11: "All kings will bow down to Him and all nations will serve Him". ... Blessed be his glorious name forever; may the whole earth be filled with his glory! Amen and Amen!

Job 12:23 "He makes nations great, and he destroys them; he enlarges nations, and leads them away!" Wow! The LORD is in complete control. Only He can decide what nations fall and which do not. As in this SOTD, it's clear that YHWH already knows who will win this election, whether America will fall (which we deserve) and if we will get another reprieve. I pray for that, (and revival) but take comfort in the fact that any anxiety over political matters is folly. He wants all to be saved, and it's up to we Christians to make disciples and share the good news. Who knows how long we have?

“And if you faithfully obey the voice of the Lord your God, being careful to do all his commandments that I command you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, if you obey the voice of the Lord your God. Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the field.” Deuteronomy 28:1-3 God is calling this nation to obey His voice and follow His leadership. We as a nation need to repent of our independence from God and choose instead obey His commandments. He has been faithful to this nation despite our faithlessness. Let us stand boldly in our Christian faith and truly depend on God and pray fervently for our nation!

13:06 So the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and he said, “Because this people have transgressed my covenant that I commanded their fathers and have not obeyed my voice, - Judges 2:20 People here is the Hebrew word Goy for nations. As Pastor Bobby was saying, sin is serious and it cuts Goy off from the Lord! It is very true that America may fall one of these days because of the sin that this country has committed. I want to pray for the this nation would turn from its sin and seek the Lord!
Genesis 22:18 ESV - and in your offspring shall all the nations of the earth be blessed, because you have obeyed my voice.” One of my favorite promises of God! All the nations of earth shall be blessed by the seed (zeraʿ) of Abraham. God began the promise of the seed that would crush the head of the enemy in Genesis 3:15, and here that seed will also bless all the nations! It is a blessing to have the word of God and see how he is working all things for his glory!

For he spoke, and it came to be; he commanded, and it stood firm. !!!The LORD brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; he frustrates the plans of the peoples. The counsel of the LORD stands forever, the plans of his heart to all generations. Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage! ---- I love these verses because it reminds me The Lord > the nations 24/7 By the word of the Lord the heavens were made! How often rulers think they have authority but the Lord is the one able to gather all the waters of the sea as a heap! The Lord is able to bring the counsel of the nations to nothing, but the counsel of the Lord stands forever!

From his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron. He will tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty. Rev 19:15 Judgment is coming! Jesus will judge and make war in his perfect righteousness when he returns to establish his kingdom on earth.
Psalm 46:8-10 Come, behold the works of the Lord, Who has wrought desolations in the earth. He makes wars to cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two; He burns the chariots with fire. “Cease striving and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
2 Chronicles 7:14 “if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” Heavenly Father, We come before You with humble hearts, acknowledging that as a nation, we have often strayed from Your ways. We have trusted in our own strength, pursued selfish desires, and neglected Your truth. Lord, we confess our sins both as individuals and as a collective people and we ask for Your forgiveness. Your Word says that if we humble ourselves, pray, and seek Your face, turning from our wicked ways, You will hear from heaven, forgive our sins, and heal our land (2 Chronicles 7:14). Lord, we ask that You soften hardened hearts across this nation, drawing us back to You with Your lovingkindness. Awaken us to Your truth and help us live by Your Word. Let repentance begin in our hearts and spread to every corner of society among leaders, communities, and families. Father, we plead for Your mercy. In Your great compassion, do not give us over to the consequences of our rebellion. Instead, pour out Your grace and give us the strength to walk in righteousness. Revive us, Lord, so we may be a people who honor Your name. Let justice, humility, and love reign in this land. We trust that Your mercy is greater than our failures, and we believe that through Jesus, there is hope for restoration. Help us to walk in Your ways once more, so that our nation may be a beacon of light for Your glory. In Jesus name, Amen!
Deuteronomy 29:22-29 [22] And the next generation, your children who rise up after you, and the foreigner who comes from a far land, will say, when they see the afflictions of that land and the sicknesses with which the LORD has made it sick-[23] the whole land burned out with brimstone and salt, nothing sown and nothing growing, where no plant can sprout, an overthrow like that of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, which the LORD overthrew in his anger and wrath-[24] all the nations will say, ‘Why has the LORD done thus to this land? What caused the heat of this great anger?’ [25] Then people will say, ‘It is because they abandoned the covenant of the LORD, the God of their fathers, which he made with them when he brought them out of the land of Egypt, [26] and went and served other gods and worshiped them, gods whom they had not known and whom he had not allotted to them. This made me think of our nation, the United States of America. 2 Kings 14:23-25 23 In the fifteenth year of Amaziah the son of Joash, king of Judah, Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel, began to reign in Samaria, and he reigned forty-one years. 24 And he did what was evil in the sight of the Lord. He did not depart from all the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, which he made Israel to sin. 25 He restored the border of Israel from Lebo-hamath as far as the Sea of the Arabah, according to the word of the Lord, the God of Israel, which he spoke by his servant Jonah the son of Amittai, the prophet, who was from Gath-hepher. God may restore our border according to his will, but a restored border doesn't cause people to repent from their sins and put their faith in Jesus. One of my favorite verses regarding the nations is Genesis 18:18 Genesis 18:17-18 17 The Lord said, “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do, 18 seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him? In him is the offspring, Jesus Christ.
The nations rage, the kingdoms totter; he utters his voice, the earth melts.The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Come, behold the works of the Lord, how he has brought desolations on the earth. 1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
2Chronicles 33:9-16 Here we read of how evil Manasseh was and his sin plunged the whole nation into idolatry. His sin was so severe he gets taken captive to Babylon. I was talking with a brother at church and we came to the conclusion that if God could forgive Manasseh, which he does because Manasseh considers his sin and he repents and God forgives him, that there is hope for us because we have sinned horribly. It really doesn’t matter what we call ourselves. “Oh yes I am a Christian”, we like to say😢 At what point have we meditated on our ways to see how they match with God’s ways. I pray that God will spare this nation after this election, but more importantly if I have been a Manasseh have I really repented? Yes, sin always ends in judgement. If God doesn’t spare us in this next election may we be able to say that we will stay faithful to our God. We pray that God will bring a revival to many of our national leaders.
Isaiah 40:15-17
15 Behold, the nations are like a drop from a bucket,
and are accounted as the dust on the scales;
behold, he takes up the coastlands like fine dust.
16 Lebanon would not suffice for fuel,
nor are its beasts enough for a burnt offering.
17 All the nations are as nothing before him,
they are accounted by him as less than nothing and emptiness.
No matter how great and powerful a nation may be, it can't compare to the greatness and power of God! Praying we would be a nation that fears the Lord and joyfully pursues obedience!
"Turn to me and be saved, all the ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other.
By myself I have sworn; from my mouth has gone out in righteousness a word that shall not return: 'To me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear allegiance.'

May America turn from its evil ways and repent. Praying for revival and salvation for those in power that we may be a God fearing nation once more. 🩷

Truthfully, before coming to compass and being taught the word, I did not know that scripture commands us to specially pray for those who are governmental authorities over us and All people!
This verse reminds me to pray for our nation because it says

I will put my Spirit upon him,
and he will proclaim justice to the Gentiles.
19 He will not quarrel or cry aloud,

Gods plan from the beginning was to send Jesus to die for our sins and be the hope for ALL people to repent and believe in Him! There is no one too far gone form salvation! Praying God works through us as a church to make us bold and speak up for His name sake!
Psalm 9:17 - The wicked shall return to Sheol, all the nations that forget God.
Our nation is plagued by darkness and sin, idolizing money, fame, and individual “truth”. May we pray not only for our leaders to come to know God but for more to be saved. For I was once lost, but by God’s grace have been saved. May more people come to know the comfort of the ever-living God and the freedom that comes with Christ Jesus.

I wrote 2 verses down from this mornings reading that had me contemplating and praying for our nation: 2 Kings 19:25 ““Have you not heard that I determined it long ago? I planned from days of old what now I bring to pass..” and 2 Kings 19:28 “Because you have raged against me and your complacency has come into my ears, I will put my hook in your nose and my bit in your mouth, and I will turn you back on the way by which you came.”
He determined every moment from the beginning on time. None of this is surprising or worrisome to him. And he will draw his people back to him and his name will be glorified and every knee will bow!
"Are there any among the false gods of the **nations** that can bring rain? Or can the heavens give showers? Are you not he, O LORD our God? We set our hope on you, for you can do all these things."

This verse from Jeremiah really makes me ponder your challenge Pastor Bobby. To imagine a world where America is judged and I continue in my faith no longer being American because we get vomited out because of our sin. The next chapter of Jeremiah is God pronouncing judgement on Judah. His grace ran out and it could run out for us too. Praying for revival from the Bible and an emboldened hope in God for my innermost joy, not my country.
“May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face to shine upon us, that your way may be known on earth, your saving power among all nations. The fact that God will judge us all one day and separate us on the right and left is great motivation for me to pray. The Lord desires that none shall perish, I desire people won’t perish, so now is the time to pray and share that the nations would know the One who could give them life.
The idea of judgement brings me back to a Christmas camp we did with United years ago where Pastor Bobby preached on 2 Corinthians 5. We dove deep into verse 10 the first night and the idea of standing before God someday became a thought I felt compelled to talk out with high schoolers then and still today. I’m praying this morning that people would consider the idea that they will stand before God one day and will be separated to the left and right based on how they lived this life!
They collapse and fall, but we rise and stand upright. Ps. 20.8
Lord, please forgive the US and bring Your revival to our land.
This video reminds me of when I read John Piper’s “Let the Nations be Glad” when I graduated medical school. I had (and still do) want to start a non-profit ministry where I help relieve overseas missionary physicians so they can come back to their home counties and visit family, raise support and rest. Praying that the Lord would make it clear if He chooses to send me and my family!

The Nations are waxing worse and worse but this has been God’s target from beginning to end, to seek and save the lost. He’s wishing none to perish but all to come to repentance!!!

Yes Pastor Bobby I pray for revival too in the USA that we could do righteously by following Jesus and not continuing in sin. It makes my heart sad to see how we have become more sinful in my 75 years in this country. So let’s pray for God to turn hearts back to Him! Amen!

Not only do kings and nations incur God's wrath, but God uses other nations as his tools of wrath among other things!

With special consideration of v 14-21. there will come a time in every persons life where they realize how worthless the things of this world are(were), when they see the power and might of the lord, and they will call him their lord. I looked up ETHNOS (NATIONS) in Matthew 28:19 “ Go therefore and maybe disciples OF ALL NATIONS, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”
This is the same word NATIONS used 3x in God’s initial promise to Abraham in Gen 17.
Genesis 17:3-8
Then Abram fell on his face. And God said to him, “Behold, my covenant is with you, and you shall be the father of a multitude of NATIONS. No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham, for I have made you the father of a multitude of NATIONS. I will make you exceedingly fruitful, and I will make you into NATIONS, and kings shall come from you. And I will establish my covenant between me and you and your offspring after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and to your offspring after you. And I will give to you and to your offspring after you the land of your sojournings, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession, and I will be their God.”

God is in control of our nations,things I may not see but god does, keeping my eyes set on him Trusting in GOD praying for revival for many more souls to repentance.
Ephesians 3:6 This mystery is that the Gentiles are fellow heirs, members of the same body, and partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel.
And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. Matt 24:14
Job 12:23 "He makes nations great, and he destroys them; he enlarges nations, and leads them away!"
Wow! The LORD is in complete control. Only He can decide what nations fall and which do not. As in this SOTD, it's clear that YHWH already knows who will win this election, whether America will fall (which we deserve) and if we will get another reprieve. I pray for that, (and revival) but take comfort in the fact that any anxiety over political matters is folly. He wants all to be saved, and it's up to we Christians to make disciples and share the good news. Who knows how long we have?

Deuteronomy 28:1-3
God is calling this nation to obey His voice and follow His leadership. We as a nation need to repent of our independence from God and choose instead obey His commandments. He has been faithful to this nation despite our faithlessness. Let us stand boldly in our Christian faith and truly depend on God and pray fervently for our nation!
If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7:14
This is the only Hope for America. No matter who becomes our next President, our Nation needs to repent for our sins and turn to God. We need to pray for our leaders all the way from our City Officials to our President that they will lead our Nation in the way of the Lord. It also needs to be our individual prayers that God would search our hearts.

People here is the Hebrew word Goy for nations. As Pastor Bobby was saying, sin is serious and it cuts Goy off from the Lord! It is very true that America may fall one of these days because of the sin that this country has committed. I want to pray for the this nation would turn from its sin and seek the Lord!
Genesis 22:18 ESV - and in your offspring shall all the nations of the earth be blessed, because you have obeyed my voice.”
One of my favorite promises of God! All the nations of earth shall be blessed by the seed (zeraʿ) of Abraham. God began the promise of the seed that would crush the head of the enemy in Genesis 3:15, and here that seed will also bless all the nations! It is a blessing to have the word of God and see how he is working all things for his glory!
Jeremiah 18
7 If at any time I declare concerning a nation or a kingdom, that I will pluck up and break down and destroy it, 8 and if that nation, concerning which I have spoken, turns from its evil, I will relent of the disaster that I intended to do to it. 9 And if at any time I declare concerning a nation or a kingdom that I will build and plant it, 10 and if it does evil in my sight, not listening to my voice, then I will relent of the good that I had intended to do to it.
Genesis 22:18
In your seed, all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.

Judgment is coming! Jesus will judge and make war in his perfect righteousness when he returns to establish his kingdom on earth.

2 Chronicles 7:14 “if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
Heavenly Father,
We come before You with humble hearts, acknowledging that as a nation, we have often strayed from Your ways. We have trusted in our own strength, pursued selfish desires, and neglected Your truth. Lord, we confess our sins both as individuals and as a collective people and we ask for Your forgiveness.
Your Word says that if we humble ourselves, pray, and seek Your face, turning from our wicked ways, You will hear from heaven, forgive our sins, and heal our land (2 Chronicles 7:14). Lord, we ask that You soften hardened hearts across this nation, drawing us back to You with Your lovingkindness. Awaken us to Your truth and help us live by Your Word. Let repentance begin in our hearts and spread to every corner of society among leaders, communities, and families.
Father, we plead for Your mercy. In Your great compassion, do not give us over to the consequences of our rebellion. Instead, pour out Your grace and give us the strength to walk in righteousness. Revive us, Lord, so we may be a people who honor Your name. Let justice, humility, and love reign in this land.
We trust that Your mercy is greater than our failures, and we believe that through Jesus, there is hope for restoration. Help us to walk in Your ways once more, so that our nation may be a beacon of light for Your glory.

Deuteronomy 29:22-29
[22] And the next generation, your children who rise up after you, and the foreigner who comes from a far land, will say, when they see the afflictions of that land and the sicknesses with which the LORD has made it sick-[23] the whole land burned out with brimstone and salt, nothing sown and nothing growing, where no plant can sprout, an overthrow like that of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, which the LORD overthrew in his anger and wrath-[24] all the nations will say, ‘Why has the LORD done thus to this land? What caused the heat of this great anger?’ [25] Then people will say, ‘It is because they abandoned the covenant of the LORD, the God of their fathers, which he made with them when he brought them out of the land of Egypt, [26] and went and served other gods and worshiped them, gods whom they had not known and whom he had not allotted to them. [27] Therefore the anger of the LORD was kindled against this land, bringing upon it all the curses written in this book, [28] and the LORD uprooted them from their land in anger and fury and great wrath, and cast them into another land, as they are this day.’
[29] “The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things that are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.
This made me think of our nation, the United States of America.
2 Kings 14:23-25
23 In the fifteenth year of Amaziah the son of Joash, king of Judah, Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel, began to reign in Samaria, and he reigned forty-one years. 24 And he did what was evil in the sight of the Lord. He did not depart from all the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, which he made Israel to sin. 25 He restored the border of Israel from Lebo-hamath as far as the Sea of the Arabah, according to the word of the Lord, the God of Israel, which he spoke by his servant Jonah the son of Amittai, the prophet, who was from Gath-hepher.
God may restore our border according to his will, but a restored border doesn't cause people to repent from their sins and put their faith in Jesus.

1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
2Chronicles 33:9-16
Here we read of how evil Manasseh was and his sin
plunged the whole nation into idolatry. His sin was so severe he gets taken captive to Babylon.
I was talking with a brother at church and we came to the conclusion that if God could forgive Manasseh, which he does because Manasseh considers his sin and he repents and God forgives him, that there is hope for us because we have sinned horribly. It really doesn’t matter what we call ourselves. “Oh yes I am a Christian”, we like to say😢
At what point have we meditated on our ways to see how they match with God’s ways. I pray that God will spare this nation after this election, but more importantly if I have been a Manasseh have I really repented? Yes, sin always ends in judgement. If God doesn’t spare us in this next election may we be able to say that we will stay faithful to our God. We pray that God will bring a revival to many of our national leaders.
