i agree this house really peaceful. as a viewers i just wish you could really show the house from the front to the back and don't only take videos from aesthetic room. we want the real house tour
What a nice change of speech from the owner "i wanted it to look cool" .. instead of the usual key words you hear from clients "environment foot print" blah blah blah .. and yes the house does look cool
The problem with this channel is that it shows very beautiful projects but the quality of editing is meh and the timeline is very CONFUSING! You don't even know which part of the house you're looking at. And please... don't even label it as a "house tour". You can only see "parts" of the house the architects mention.
I couldn't agree more. It's incredible how little I learn about a particular house after watching one of their videos. There's only so many pointless shots of the ceiling that I can tolerate before giving up completely. I just came here to respond to your comment because it deserves to be seen.
Can we all have a moment of awe for that kitchen? Talk about fabulous and sophisticated! Love the placement of the television. Another lovely Zen home. The glass wall and entry to the garden is wonderful.
What understated beauty 😍 _This_ is design. Sure, a massive, ostentatious mansion can be impressive. But, to have this level of detail mixed with restrained, simple beauty then thrown in with clever use of space - that's impressive design to me.
@@Lukavichiano a simple definition of architecture might include functional design and material science I would agree but would add the achievement of beauty and a pleasant experience for the experiencer which this building does jmo
Rounded edge details down to the furnitures as balance. Something that is always missed on small spaces i've seen. Lesson learned. Well executed and well thought out.
When interested in these videos, by the thumbnail, I've started to think, "Oh. But it's by The Local Project," so I'll lower my expectations, because it's always a shot of this, a shot of that, a shot from above, a shot of a plant, etc. There's no story being told, with the camera. There's no flow, to allow us a sense of what it's like to live in that house. It's more like a magazine spread, and it always leaves me disappointed that I didn't get to tour the house. THIS house was so interesting and lovely, but I have no idea about the visual sense of moving from one end of the house to the other, and of how the bedrooms connect to everything else. The greater disappointment is that I want to like Australian channels more than ones made overseas.
Yes it’s time most architects kept to what they know best- architecture. Many are really embarrassing when they try to speak in poetry without knowing enough grammar to be convincing, using absurd invented terms that just confuse once the laughter stops, and personification where inanimate objects like floors are given human characteristics and have a “dialogue” with the ceiling.
@@johnblaine1479 The story of the conversation is a parenthetical apostrophe within the accented dialogue between the visitor as reader of the autobiography that is pure engagement with the author’s expression.
It's such a unique looking home with beautiful courtyards located throughout the house. The backyard is lovely as well. Love the amount of light in the home and the whitewashed brick and wood. It is a very serene home. Beautiful!
I could be watching a high-rise penthouse. No sense of the space given here. A one minute glide shot from front door to back would have made a bigger impact videography wise. Or is it the editor?

It's nice house, but what I do not like about it, this style does not fit styles of houses next door, so it look like sore eye. As stand alone it would be very nice.
Great! You can compose a series pretty shots and play some airy-fairy words and spa music over the top of them. But, beyond the self-indulgent ‘aren’t I so profound’ production standards, no one has any real idea what the house is like. Please, in the future, put the horse before the cart and prioritise what you’re trying to communicate before you begin self-fellating.
Visualmente buen video pero no se muestra ningún croquis de la casa o el conjunto para poder apreciar el ingenio. Parece que quieren esconder el secreto.
Why wouodn't you want a rooftop hangout spot? That's a perfect roof to put some outdoor furniture. Love the house but it kind of looks like no one lives there.
Hello, thanks for sharing this video! I love your channel, I will support you along the way! Always believe in yourself and keep doing what you love. Good luck and have a nice weekend!
Loved the use of light, especially in this slender house where the hardest problem is not enough light.🥰Btw will there be a video about the wooden house designed by Keshaw McArthur? I love that house!!!
Phenomenal space. The way the design and layout fully optimise the small footprint is 👌🏼 Kudos to the client for their brief and architect for interpreting and executing on it so well 👏🏼 I absolutely love the light play throughout the space. Nicely captured as always by The Local Project crew 👌🏼🙏🏼
This merely house porn. There is no discussion on how this home performs with the environment ... heating/cooling/water storage etc. Architect is way too self impressed and clients were driven by "cool"? Like a 16 year old who is very pretty but doesn't have much depth. I'd prefer to see homes for adults that include environmentally conscious issues like the extreme heat and cold of (Melbourne?) Australia.
6 mtrs wide?! Haha and you call that small or narrow?! This is wider than standard houses here in the Netherlands. 5 mtrs or even smaller is normal here.
Amazingly beautiful project, but the presentation video is terrible - the pacing of the shots, the upbeat music - totally in contradiction with the feel of the house itself.
I like these videos but I have to watch them with the sound muted.Every single architect's voiceover is highly irritating.A case of ' why use one word when 10 will do'.
Holy moly this architect might win the w*nkery-language award for flowery insistence on conversation metaphors. We no longer live in a house we have a dialogue with it.
A calm energy of a brick wall on all sides… ahh… So peaceful and zen-like without a single view to the outside. 🤦🏻♂️ Zoning rules in our cities are so anti-human. We’ve evolved to gaze over the horizon. 🐒
Good morning :) I am so sorry to say, but I don't feel peace looking at the images of the interior of the house. To me their is too much info in the house. A bit chaotic. What I mean is, there is so much going on. For instance, the white painted concrete brick wall with the timber roof, that is a lot of info. To me that is the opposite of peaceful.
It's low slope butterfly style standing seam roof, which means that drain is located in the middle of roof. And yeah, usually those types of roofs are suited for areas with less rainfall, but if it's retailed correctly it absolutely could work in medium wetness as well.

I don't like this type of environment. Each house likes a cube and packed so tight with other cubes.

I wish there was one shot that walked through the house from beginning to end to get a sense of the floor plan.

Words by the architects are poetic and ambiguous, and the local project has an abundance of those “dialogues”.
