I wish they let you run on the ground to counter your momentum stopping when you hit the ground or a car. But im just glad they removed that ground buffer from the 1st 2 games.

They should add this for the next game: • Running down walls • Running on the ground and over cars when you hit the ground (if you’re still holding R2) • Climbing your web while swinging (like in Ultimate Spider-Man) • Shooting a 2ND Web while swinging to either suspend yourself in midair (Like in SM2 ps2), or to maneuver around objects. (like Raimi Spider-Man 2 when he goes through the Semi) • Tugging on web to lift you higher while swinging, but keeping your swing alive, like if you had to clear a low fence but didn’t want to run into it or end your swing
at this point this be honest they can’t check off everything that we are asking for there’s no way to please everyone i wish they could but just being realistic

I've fallen in love with 0 assist/fall damage. It keeps my brain engaged with how I'm going to keep momentum, which way am I going to go and how all while also making sure I don't screw it up and die. 😅
Actual wall crawling still needs to get improvement… I’m a guy who likes to crawl on walls like spider it gives me good OG Spider man feel What i noticed is Spidey is getting stuck on different structures of walls and is not getting past through… still needs improvement there..
I ran on 3 with fall damage on for most of the game. I love the added risk and having to adjust to your swings’ trajectory. 0 was a bit too punishing and I got tired of hitting the ground.
Been playing 0 it’s so engaging and the fact I can’t do the same thing every time I start swinging it’s great. For the next game they should have it default at 5

For the next game they should add a horizontal loop de loop, running while swinging if too low on the ground, and let us continue to run when he lands and not just a roll. And like you said, wall running downward.
You can horizontal loop. If you corner tether (hold O and towards a wall) while near say a crane, water towers, cell towers, etc, and just keep holding it you can do a few loops around it to build speed before letting go.

@@ni9htwin9250it becomes more consistent when you allways stay close to the buildings on the side you want to tether to, and I’ve also noticed doing it while r2 swinging or right after makes it the most consistent. If you swing and let go and then try to tether after 1/2 seconds it doesn’t register as swinging so that’s why your not getting the tether of. So always do it right after or while using the swing.

Or sometimes it might look like your web is attached to whatever pole or scaffolding thingy but it's actually attached to a wall or building that's relatively close to it. Usually if I go for it on a pole though and there's nothing else around for me to feasibly attach to I can multi loop p consistently.

New swinging features that would work well: 1. the ability to charge jump off a wall while wall running 2. Run\slide down walls 3. Ability to use both triggers for web swinging to have more control which direction you swing in 4. Ability to swing into the ground and run off the web to keep momentum up

They should also add manual web placements so u can choose had u swing around buildings if u want. Like I’d love to be traveling at Mach 10 just to zip down a building and transfer all that horizontal momentum to vertical momentum

Secret callout : favorite candy... tgats hard. Back when i worked in a movie theatre i became addicted to sourbelts. The bulk-candy non-namebrand ones. I havent found a named brand i love the same way since. It is hard to go wrong with a chocolate Seegar from See's Candies. Just a wonderful cigar shaped stick of mederate quality milk chocolate. Or if you want a box of smaller treats, Trader Joes Xhocolate Truffles. The ones in the little red box. Those are so good. :) That being said, now that im a diabetic here is a good sugar-minimum alternative... dark chocolate. Once you grow your taste for low and unsweetened treats, the world of dark chocolates is wide and the variety in tastes run deep.
If you really want a realistic physics experience in web swinging, just avoid using left analog stick to navigate your direction in mid air and use only right analog stick to turn left or right with the help of the camera while spidey swings. Feels much more realistic. Try combining it with zero assist.
Use the stick to move into the direction of the building you're stuck on. Makes no sense to swing on the same side of buildings 5 times in a row without slamming into it.
Things i need in the game: 1)When you hit wall in high speed bumb animation and dmg to spiderman 2)Charged jump of walls buildings like in spiderman2 ps2 3) more dynamics to swinging(like for examle if you swing and change direction at high speed with L2 R2 or X spiderman just stops mid-air and change direction, it really look too clunky, or if you fall straight down and before ground you press square and X he just stops midair and slams the ground really weird looking. 3) Wall recognition with webs, when you swing around corners webs should hug corners and add momentum to swings, also i want to hold on to webs when i swing as long as i want and not the game automaticly let go of it by itself 4) When i double press R2 i want spiderman to shoot to webs to swing, could be uselfull and fun 5) hold to web and run on the ground/wall if i hit one on the edge of the web swing.

I feel like the reason why 0 web swing assist is kind of awkward is that it exposes the small scale of NYC in this game. It wouldnt be much of an issue in say PS2 SM2 because the buildings are tall. I've kept it on 1 but perhaps i'll go back to 0 again.
Honestly they should look at the old Spider-Man 2 game and how you could throw out 2 web lines and web swing. There was so much that you could do in that game it was crazy. But this game is already amazing but who knows what they will improve on in the next game
Spider-man 2 (PS5) does have the ability to adjust swing assistance. It does feel more momentum based but I don't think it's enough. I don't think adding a web suit builds on the swinging. They didn't fix the low swinging issue. And if you set the assistance to 0 with fall damage and try to swing low, there isn't much saving you from the ground since there isn't the ability to run on the ground or if the arc is too low you'll hit the ground since you can't control the web length or climb the lines.
I keep mine at 1 I don’t see the point letting myself completely come to a stop momentum wise which is jarring when I have fall damge on so 1 is perfect for me
if I wanna swing around I like using 3 but if I'm playing through the game 4-6 hits the sweet spot for me depending on how relaxed I wanna be, I actually did my first playthrough on 10 and kinda didn't like it cuz I wanted to be able to get super low to the ground like in the films
Maybe not. Insomniac are some of the best developers in the industry who can release games pretty quickly. They already released 3 games on PS5 and we’re about to get Wolverine.

Yo i swear guys playing on 0 is annoying at first, but then you get used to it and can get sooo low to the ground, it’s amazing! You still might hit the ground or swing into a building once in a while but it’s a whole lot less common once you get used to it and oh boy is it satisfying

I did lol The lower you go in numbers, the lower you get to the ground. At ONE, you still float over the ground, but you're still able to hit the ground to, from 6-10, you almost never hit the ground unless on purpose

Legit, how do ppl do this in like queens and brooklyn? I tried it and there was legit no time for spiderman to start his swinging arc before hitting the ground. Like youd hit the ground even if you started pressing the swing button way before you hit the ground.
I remember playing spider man 2 in the PS2 days. I sure don’t miss tank Web swinging. Glad left it up players. On how they wanna play. Since some folks just want to enjoy a game. Without adding more difficulty to a game. The enemies are tougher than pervious games. Especially on normal mode. Ain’t no way I’m playing this game on ultimate difficulty. Kraven was the toughest boss in game. Even with the black suit on.

I know I got a PS five and Spider-Man for Christmas. I am going to do the level one or zero if that’s a thing because I want to do the OG Spider-Man I’m also never gonna use a wing suit. I’m gonna try to complete a game and I hope they have an achievement or trophy for completing the whole game without wings suit or weird gadgets I want to do it like the OG Tobey Maguire Spider-Manwill make the game last longer and more time versus having so much easy stuff that I’ve been seeing. I don’t like that extra sparkling crap when you use boost and stuff I’m gonna do it like an OG and I’m gonna enjoy it. I hope that I can do that. I hope I don’t have to use stupid stuff. 1 thing I've thought of with the slingshot mechanic is the ability to do it while on a wall like in the Sam Raimi films. it would be cool asf
The closest thing you can get to what you’re referring to is to go between two walls make a web line and slingshot from it.

that's a good setting. I have mine set to level 0 to have faster swinging plus gliding.
I set it up at 0 before i started and it did take a while to get used to but once i did it felt even better than the first two games

This. This is exactly how I feel about video games today. When you were little, have you ever played a good game, but felt a little disappointed because it didn't look as good as the trailer or the cover art? Well nowadays, a lot of games DO live up to the hype, and I love it.
But it's not just games. It's movies too. As a kid in 2005, I saw Peter Jackson's King Kong. The movie was praised for having some of the best CGI on Earth, and yet, as I watched the movie, I felt a little disappointed because the technology wasn't quite as good as I had thought it would be. King Kong looked too smooth (the fur didn't look convincing) while Ann looked too light (in terms of weight) as she was being carried around.
Then I saw King Kong in 2017. The CGI blew me away. This time, King Kong looked textured. The water and splashing effects looked indistinguishable to me from actual water. It was, and still is, some of the best CGI I've ever seen. That was when I realized, "man, this is exactly the sort of technology I thought I'd see as a kid!"
And technology is only getting better. We're really living in the future.

Legit, how do ppl do this in like queens and brooklyn? I tried it and there was legit no time for spiderman to start his swinging arc before hitting the ground. Like youd hit the ground even if you started pressing the swing button way before you hit the ground.

I remember playing spider man 2 in the PS2 days. I sure don’t miss tank Web swinging. Glad left it up players. On how they wanna play. Since some folks just want to enjoy a game. Without adding more difficulty to a game. The enemies are tougher than pervious games. Especially on normal mode. Ain’t no way I’m playing this game on ultimate difficulty. Kraven was the toughest boss in game. Even with the black suit on.

I know I got a PS five and Spider-Man for Christmas. I am going to do the level one or zero if that’s a thing because I want to do the OG Spider-Man I’m also never gonna use a wing suit. I’m gonna try to complete a game and I hope they have an achievement or trophy for completing the whole game without wings suit or weird gadgets I want to do it like the OG Tobey Maguire Spider-Manwill make the game last longer and more time versus having so much easy stuff that I’ve been seeing. I don’t like that extra sparkling crap when you use boost and stuff I’m gonna do it like an OG and I’m gonna enjoy it. I hope that I can do that. I hope I don’t have to use stupid stuff. I don’t think Spider-Man you have electricity I don’t think Spider-Man should be able to have a wing suit made out of web. It’s complete holes I don’t know how that’s even possible.
