The name of the harbor is actually Booth Bay Harbor (just in case any non-mainers try to look it up). Also, it's fricken cold up here now omg seeing it warmer makes me anxious for spring and summer here. Just in case anyone is planning a trip up here this up coming spring or summer keep in mind we have had a lot of damage to the coastal beaches and possibly in the alphabet islands so if its messed up looking please understand mother nature whooped our butts this winter. Make sure you check the beach you are planning to go to to make sure it wont be closed due to sand dune damage from the winter storms.
That second soba dish ... I'd love that! The clam bake... I'd do that, too. But, Mike, best way to eat the steamers - pull from shell, peel skin off from the clam's siphon and discard, rinse if needed, dip in butter, enjoy.
LOL!! When I was a kid, my family rented a cabin right across the bay from Cabbage Island. When the boat for the clambake came by, we'd run down to the dock and throw sticks into the water for our dogs to leap off the dock into the water. For some reason this delighted the tourists on the boat.. 'oh, look Harry, Maine natives'!!!!!
Bro! You were twenty minutes from our house in Maine! Glad you had fun man. Lots of this coastal stuff is gone or severely damaged after the last two storms we've had up here.
Everything you ate today was over the top. I don't believe it. I have never been to an eatery that is as great as youtubers say it is. I have all over asia, The East coast, west coast, the Caribbeans and never ever experienced these mind blowing flavors and well seasoned, perfectly cooked, fresh, umami oozing foods! You aren't blowing sunshine up our rear end are you?!?
You filmed that opening at Everett Lowell Riverfront Park! I walk there every single day and have for a decade! Always so good to see you in Seattle, Mikey ❤️
How can you not like waffles?! Especially when served with that chicken that looked heavenly. The Vietnamese boat restaurant looked most appealing to me, if I'm honest.
I always laugh when people come to Maine and eat the seafood when they have zero clue lol. I hope you know you ate lobster poop and clam poop hahahaha.
Army sent me to honshu in 84, i love tempura, i love udon. There is one place where i live that serves Japanese food, i will next spring climb 20 + stairs with my oxygen tank for udon tempura, and maybe sushi too
Unless the lobsters are "farm to table" you're not going to get true fresh tasting lobster at a restaurant. For the most part frozen lobster being shipped to distributors and national chains retains much of the flavor of a fresh lobster. Now if you would've said that the lobster tasted "fishy" this would raise concerns.
Really surprised to hear this. As a Mainer, Maine lobster is the best in the world. Never had frozen lobster anywhere here and I was born and raised in Maine and lived here my whole life.
Yum... lobster sweat corn potatoes and butter would be my ideal best anniversary date on top of some good adult alone time. And sleep maybe a reeses Klondike bar.
Mike you advertise all this stuff but I can't afford any of it even with your discount I would love the Ag1 and the Raycon ear buddy but I work full time and people on benefits get looked at first but people that work get left behind, wish I had thought of doing utube vids instead of being in the British army.😊
I got hubby 2 pairs (one was a warranty replacement) they both would only go for 20 minutes before they were done. The company's customer care though is wonderful!!!
I have lived in Maine all my life and have NEVER seen anyone put the tomalley on their potato. I don't like the taste. Also, just an FYI, test results have shown the tomalley can accumulate contaminants found in the environment.
"In 2008, the United States Food and Drug Administration issued a warning to consumers who eat lobster of possible risks of consuming the tomalley from Maine lobsters due to the possibility of toxins being present in the organs, including PSP, or Paralytic Shellfish Poisoning."

Great from you Mikey that you filmed this mouthwatering menu of seafood and sides. I can not get enough from watching it!

dips clam in butter...."WOW these clams are buttery!"
Lmao
well he isn't wrong lol
at least he didn't call it "so so sweet".
😂
I was surprised I didn't hear "...a buttery UMAMI bomb!" 😂
Worked here for 9 years as a kid/teen. Best job and people I’ve ever had the pleasure of working for.
Mike Mike Mike..you're supposed to take the clam out of the shell, peel it, rinse it...then into the butter and enjoy
Glad someone said it. I was cringing ovah heaah
Right! I'm gunnah have nightmares!
As someone who is from further up the coast originally. I was going crazy...
That second soba dish ... I'd love that!
The clam bake... I'd do that, too. But, Mike, best way to eat the steamers - pull from shell, peel skin off from the clam's siphon and discard, rinse if needed, dip in butter, enjoy.
Dip the clams in butter 🧈....."WOW these clams surely are buttery"!!

Huckleberry?
Everything taste umami to Mike.😂😂
And Joocy.
😂😂😂😂😂
That was filmed at least 6 months ago. The NE is in a deep freeze now.
I agree Mike, cold soba dipped is the best. 🤤🤤🤤
Everything to him is “umami” now 😂 umami is literally only attainable through specific ingredients.
Shellfish has a strong umami flavor.
I love Mike because he always takes substantial bites and eats with appreciation 🤗
Good, he eats the tomalley!
Looks like a great thing to try to visit next spring or summer.
All the food looked great. My mouth is watering.
Somebody oughta tell that kid in the soba place to be quiet.
Bro! You were twenty minutes from our house in Maine! Glad you had fun man.
Lots of this coastal stuff is gone or severely damaged after the last two storms we've had up here.
He's filming and your watching..
My brother lives in Maine as well. Hope you guys are okay ❤
Nooooo!! You're supposed to peel the steamers and then rinse them!
This guy just rotates between lobster, bbq and noodles (with his chilli oil and vinegar)
sooo the only words he knows are absolutly incredible and umami
Of course their buttery clams, you’re dipping each one in butter.

Hello to my fellow Mainers!!!
🪮 over game is 💪🏼
How can you not like waffles?! Especially when served with that chicken that looked heavenly. The Vietnamese boat restaurant looked most appealing to me, if I'm honest.
Because everyone is different and don't share the same taste buds.
The Soba noodles in Japan! Memorable Meal!
I always laugh when people come to Maine and eat the seafood when they have zero clue lol. I hope you know you ate lobster poop and clam poop hahahaha.
Do you still have the suite you had made in Hong Kong?
That lobster bake place is definitely mad they paid Mike to go and he posts the vid 6 months late.
That soba noodle place looks transcendental! I felt like I was in church. Great work!
I mash my potato, then mix with my soup!!
Wow 🤩 what a great to cook the sweet lobster 🦞 it looks amazing and delicious
Army sent me to honshu in 84, i love tempura, i love udon. There is one place where i live that serves Japanese food, i will next spring climb 20 + stairs with my oxygen tank for udon tempura, and maybe sushi too
you coming to michigan?? let me know where and when. I would love to enjoy foods with you.. ty for the hard work to do this..
The seafood looks amazing ❤❤
Don't even like sea food. But yes, it did look amazing!
That looks totally delicious.
When did you do the clambake? It’s been freezing over here. You had a T-shirt on.
never saw steamers eaten like that
Lmao right
Super jealous! Would love to eat at some of these places!
Wait, iodine as a flavor? Iodine tastes terrible.
In American we call that salt.
@@SaraO-fj8pq ok, thank you for the clarification.
I grew up on Cape cod as a kid, loved going to clambakes but that lobster bake looked amazing
I have been to this lobster 🦞 clam bake on Cabbage Island and we all were not impressed at all. Found it tasted like like seafood was frozen.🥺😥

Yah looks bland. Vinegar and butter for the W
How much was it?
@@Alohaxchase808At that time it was I think $68.00 ,per person. At that time was responsible if it was good. 👎👎
Really surprised to hear this. As a Mainer, Maine lobster is the best in the world. Never had frozen lobster anywhere here and I was born and raised in Maine and lived here my whole life.
Funky ears!!!! 😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
Omg everything looks so good !! But 24$ for soba noodles is steep
Yum... lobster sweat corn potatoes and butter would be my ideal best anniversary date on top of some good adult alone time. And sleep maybe a reeses Klondike bar.
Gonna love this!! ❤

Hey Mike Chen 👋😊
You guys not peeling the neck off the steamers is killing meeeeee🤦🏼♀️
Everything looks amazing 🤩
I remember when JAL served soba and broth when I flew internationally when I was a kid
Awesome job Mike y drop see you later
I’m watching this while eating canned soup.
That chowder looked terrible.
That's a typical Maine fish chowder
I like seafood too!
Yooo you in town still
Keep it up Mike! Love the content ❤
Butter makes every better dont ya know? Yum!
Nice..
#1!!!!
So they bought a boat shaped building and instead of making a seafood restaurant they made a chicken and waffle restaurant 😂
Bro did a main channel vlog on his second channel beast. 😂
How the hell is he not have an allergy to shellfish is beyond me
Those waffles tho😋💯👋🏼.
Good thinking bro , pouring that butter on the potato ! 😮
That lobster bake looked interestingly bland. Would’ve brought some extra seasoning in a bag if I ever head up there.
Is all about the butter for Maine seafood
BoothBAY Harbor! You even took a shot of the sign.
Don't go back to Maine if you're going to disrespect my state like that.
I’ve never seen a bad review!
Cause they don't pay him to make bad reviews duh.
He has stated many times that he won’t post a bad review because he doesn’t want to negatively affect a business. If you can’t say something nice…..
@@ajvot71It's clear that these people haven't been watching him long enough because then they would know that.
8:45 You won't get a more tender chicken than one that's been pressure fried. That's KFC's secret.
ken and grat also food youtuber like you Sir
It’s not a good meal if there’s no umami
The creaminess it's just excenturated?
45 min to cook lobster and clams?! in what world?
24 buck for slice of duck in broth 🤦🤦 prices are madness
Why would you have the tempura sitting in liquid to get soggy 😅 come on...
Love your content mike❤
Love your content! You're amazing
Cornish hens are so tiny. And you get a half?
REPEAT! Mike has no new content. Lame!
raycon fall out my ear but im not surprised i have watery earwax but the sound is amazing and battery life is great.
I got hubby 2 pairs (one was a warranty replacement) they both would only go for 20 minutes before they were done. The company's customer care though is wonderful!!!
I was early 😊
Bro always rocks, mike rocks..
Can't be a chicken is too small
I have lived in Maine all my life and have NEVER seen anyone put the tomalley on their potato. I don't like the taste. Also, just an FYI, test results have shown the tomalley can accumulate contaminants found in the environment.
Yea ill take the second restaurant for sure lol
Crap, 27 minutes is the time, I should know
I found this last place too expensive : /
I envy you your job!
Half a Cornish hen? Well that’ll fill ya up.
Come and visit Indonesia again Mike
Oh no he didn't drink the claw juice before cracking it
"In 2008, the United States Food and Drug Administration issued a warning to consumers who eat lobster of possible risks of consuming the tomalley from Maine lobsters due to the possibility of toxins being present in the organs, including PSP, or Paralytic Shellfish Poisoning."
Yet fda allows chemicals and hormones in beef and milk and sweets food etc 🤷♂️
❤❤🇰🇪
I dunno, man, lobsters are awesome as they are, except for butter and lemon. Seaweed dripping down on it seems like a bad alteration.
Seattle prices are a joke.
Mmm, lobster…
Should I had a microphone on the guy at the beginning of the lobster boil
