You have the best videos! As a newbie into the saltwater world, I keep finding your videos are are the most educational and uncomplicated. A BIG thank you!
update would be appreciated, all i see with these budget lights is ppl who just bought it and have brand new frags for a short period and zero followup =/
I love that you find interesting products that no else is covering and give it a spotlight. I use the Hygger Wavemaker cause of your review and it’s awesome
Thanks so much! Reefing on a budget can definitely be done. I'm all for finding the deals 😁. I'm glad you love the Hygger wavemaker! Thanks for being a part of TheCoralReefTalk!
@@TheCoralReefTalk I only wish I could figure out how to program it! LOL Ihad it on default mode for w while and dint like some of the setting so I quit using it! So difficult for a non tech savy old woman like me! haha I myself am all about reefing on a budget! I save my money for corals so I have to be cheap! lol
I’m surprised this light doesn’t get more attention. The price point is insanely low for the value. Thanks for the video! I plan on buying this for my 4g pico once it’s cycled.
Gteat light iv had it for a month in my 12 gal cube reef it will grow any coral lps sps not a prob my frags are incrusting n color is great im impressed just orderd 4 more for my 40 gal reef👍
Hi! Thanks for this review. I'm curious about this light, but haven't seen hardly any videos about it, so thanks for making one! It's been about 6 months, so I was curious to see if you've been using the light since you made the video, and what your thoughts are on it 6 months in? At this point, do you feel like it's enough to grow LPS and/or softies?
I think it would be good for that size aquarium. When you set the light schedule on the controller, check it every so often to make sure its still running that schedule. Sometimes power outages can throw it off and you need to turn on the selected time again.
Can you pull the flex part off the actually mount that attaches it to the tank? My frag is only12 inches front to back and right up against the wall so I cant make that s type of curve you did. I also dont want it to tall so I iwant to saw it and make that part shorter Is the wiring in that part? I love that cylinder ball or whatever you call it that the leds are behind! I think it gives it more spread and looks classy. I would need to buy 3 of them though because my tank is 30 inches wide. Its a 20g long! I sure widh they would have made that part shorter! This is a killer buy and hygger makes good products! Great video, I love them all! Keep it up!
Thanks so much I'm glad you are enjoying the content. I just took a look for you and it appears like you can probably unscrew it at the base and possibly pry the bottom and fixture from the flex tube but with the controller I don't think the cable can come out completely to make sawing it easy. What you could probably do is make the S curve sideways, like flat to the wall and then turn the fixture out to reach over the tank.
So when you turn it on and set the hrs it will in your example stay on for 9hrs then turn off. The next day at the same time it turns back on for that same 9hr period, by itself, It works really well.
@@TheCoralReefTalk I was asking as I bought the new hyger 50w light and it has the same feature but I was not sure if it's comes on automatically. Thanks a ton for letting me know
I'm enjoying this light, it's great for the nano tanks. Right now I only have a few corals in there. I have the chalice coral in one and it's doing very well.
I think it would work fine, I remember doing a 2gallon tank in the past and I had a 30w led bulb , so this light would be worth trying I think. You can adjust the intensity.
Aquaticlife USA has a great LED Reef Tank Light. The Core X would be fine if you're not planning on sps. There is also the Core XP but, Here is an amazon affiliate link for more information. amzn.to/446a52Y - (amazon)

I actually got this light yesterday and hooked up today. It's on a 5.5 gal nano reef build I've started and I'm lovin this light...
Any update on the light?

So exciting to hear. For the price it is such a good light!
I haven't tried their lighting yet but I do have some of their wave makers.
Awesome yeah the Hygger wavemakers rock! I look forward to sharing more throughout the series! Thanks for watching.

Would this work good in a IM 15? Target is anemone, zoas and maybe a torch coral.

Yeah with the tank being right up against the wall you are going to need like an inch or so for the tightening screw on the back of the fixture.
Cool ! Looking forward to your build . Hopefully you can give us a par reading , Thanks !
Thanks so much! I'll definitely try and get that throughput the series!
How does the timer work?? If I set to 9 hours it will turn off after 9 hours and then I have to turn it on again myself or it turns on by itself??

I was going to ask if this was the light you had a Skellyfest - looked good there
Thanks! 🤙Yeah that's the one. This build is going to be fun. Nice seeing you, thanks for watching!
What light/wattage is do you recommend for a 40g breeder setup? Don’t need anything super bright as I’m not trying to grow any acro.
Im not an expert but I had an AI prime 16HD over a 40g breeder tank and it wasn’t enough. If you’re considering this light I’d say get 2 or 3.

Just wondering what settings you are running it at
I have them running for 6 hours at the moment with the blue and white LEDs
Perfect for a fuge, out of interest is the power 110-240v?
Power is 30W, AC100-240V 50/60Hz. Thanks for checking out the video!
there is no need to advertise with such nonsense, a waste of money...even if it's not much...
