@@nanoman81 absolutely, the controller will give you six time periods & will let you adjust the light in increments of five % per channel (blue),(red green white)
I love the way my tank looks with the Nicrew 150 and the Reef Brite XHO Blue 🙂 My coral colors glow and grow very well. BTW… All 3 channels have 6 brightness settings. Use W & B to adjust.
The 150w is a lot of light!!! You’ll want to start it at a low percentage. Maybe 25-35%. I have a 100w on a 36g bow front (deep tank), and my peak intensity is 5% white, 60% blue. At those settings I’m getting 120ish par at the bottom of the tank and 160ish at the top of the rocks. I have softies and LPS in my tank. I will second buying the controller. Automates the on/off and ramp up/down. Allows changes in 5% increments, with blue and white being separate channels. It does take some playing to figure it out, but it’s great when it’s done. Tips for the controller, that I spent days adjusting for… The first and last setting need to be 0% = off. If your first time is 8am @ 0% and your second is 10am @ 20%… your light will be at 10% @ 9am. It ramps up incrementally between times to reach the next set % at that set time. So your first 0% time needs to be shortly before you want your lights on…
thought the same thing about these mounts on my rimless tank.... all that water as well as the weight of the light and its mount..... hopefully it never fails but if it does hopefully it is a soft fail and noticed before its catastrophic...
Looks legit. I’ve heard good things. Can’t beat it for the money if it works!!
nice 👍 i have two 150s on my 40, definitely invest on the controller
Yeah for sure ! Does it give you more than just five levels ?
