- During difficult times, God’s people can be vulnerable to temptation and doubt. This is certainly the case for Christian in John Bunyan’s famous book Pilgrim’s Progress. Once he enters the Valley of the Shadow of Death, Christian encounters all sorts of pits, snares, and traps. But because he knew that God had faithfully delivered other believers from this treacherous valley, Christian could trust the Lord would not desert him either. In this message, Derek Thomas explains how Christian’s trials in Bunyan’s classic give us biblical perspective as we face our own.

I have been in many churches since I was 16, and now am 70, and never heard of Pilgrims Progress till I found it this year on U-tube. Very sad condition of our churches in America!!!!!
Yes I have heard many so called preacher. Their only concern church activity
there's a reason why Pilgrim's Progress is the 2nd best-selling book in the world, next to the Bible

Yes that is a very poignant title kind Sir...Psalms 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
In my 90 yrs on this planet I have had many "doubts" and "fears", etc. But NO more now, for the last 5 yrs. For I now say, "Jesus will take care of me". Or "Jesus will protect me". And I pray saying, "I shant worry praise Jesus!".
And you would be amazed: HOW many times, those "used to be doubts", does NOT happen.
And get this; it is packaged in "blessings galore!". The only thing I am sad about; is why in the Pluperfect Hallelujah; did I not do this 85 yrs ago? Huh? Damned idiot am I!
But it's never too late; to sincerely pray to Jesus; and keep Him in your being ALL the time. And quit using the "generic" word "God"; Rather use Jesus, who is the ONLY true "Almighty God", there will ever be. AMEN!
IF you will do that, I will guarantee: You will have a more "joyful, peaceful and happy life". AS true as Jesus walked on this planet! Oh yes. And I praise Jesus' Holy Name often. And rarely use the word God any more, to teach. Because Jesus IS my God. Thankfully..

@@rk5941 Oh really! Jesus NEVER told us to ask for prayers from others. Even though most do that all of the time. Sad and foolish.
Listen up if you are sincere and a Born Again Christian: All any one has to do; to get well or what else they need that is righteous; Is to get on YOUR knees and sincerely say to Jesus ONLY; and confess that you are a sinner; that has caused your health problem, etc. Because Jesus can hear you just the same of any others. Believe it or not!
So, IF you are truly sincere AND you ARE "Born Again" (I doubt that); Jesus will heal you. But if you are NOT sincere and/or Born Again; YOU are wasting your time Buster Brown.
Believe it or not. And may Jesus have mercy on you. Because I truly believe you are an atheist and playing games; and where many atheist get their "jollies" by doing this all of the time.
If I am wrong; Jesus will forgive me. But getting your health back: IF you are truly sincere; is still the way, by following the above.

For those who do not what I am talking about. There was a person named RK, that asked me to pray for his bad health. And since I have been a Born Again for 81 yrs; I can almost all the time; knows those that are playing games.
So the person must have deleted his chicanery trick. Since they are not here.
