  • The tragic events in Job’s life led him to question God’s love for him. Yet he did not doubt God’s sovereignty and displayed exemplary patience in the face of pain and suffering. In this message, Derek Thomas considers Job’s steadfast faith, reminding us that God is in control, even in our darkest moments.

Very precious!! I just love hearing these kinds of sermons 😋😋😋 I do pray God to make me more like my blessed Saviour. To know God more, to love Him more, and to be enabled by His grace to obey all His commands. God tells us that we being evil know how to give good gifts to our children, how much more our Father in heaven will give the Holy Spirit to those who ask. I know these are the words that Christ spoke, but I also like to call Him God, for so He is. Christ is the Word of God and how precious He is to every child of God. I love the truth that we are kept for Christ and we who believe are made for Him and we live to please Him and enjoy Him!! How blessed are all who's God is the Lord Christ Jesus and in whom dwells His blessed Spirit 🤑🤗😋

"The Patience of Job: The Book of Job with Derek Thomas"
Great Title, Derek Thomas...for I believe...
That Job is probably the greatest "Test:" that proves or disproves; when it comes to keeping the faith in Jesus vs faith in satan. Oh indeed.
For the bible readers KNOWS; just what Job experienced pain; that was unfathomable for years; before Jesus (who IS God) deemed that Job's faith in Him was true. Although he fought with Jesus; and his wife and friends, etc; who mocked him constantly. Sad!
So may Jesus rest Job's precious Soul. For He did it. Now, How many Christians could EVER endure what he went through? I said all the above to say this...
...The reason Job passed the test; was BECAUSE he WAS a true "Born Again" person. Whereas NO non Born Again could have ever endured that pain. Thus, this tells us: there are true (Born Again) Christians, Lukewarm Christians and only Sunday Morning Christians, etc.
And except a man be Born Again Christian; YOU can loose your faith. But, IF you are Born Again; you will never lose your faith in Jesus; Just like Job didn't. And this is due to the fact; that when ANY one is Born Again; the Holy Spirit will NEVER let us lose our faith. Proving "OSAS" is the truth. Regardless of what 80% of the Christian World; denies adamantly.
And HOW does ANY one, from Creation to the END; become Born Again? "Elementary* my dear Watson"...simply believe IN the same God (who WAS Jesus) that Abraham believed in and worshiped ONLY. Period!
End of Story and I rest me case...
...In any case Brethren, Please Pray OFTEN and Praise Jesus OFTEN; for He is the ONLY true "God Almighty"; there will ever have been. And may Jesus bless you and yours always. AMEN!

Every Bible I read says Job cursed God. it wasn't until the end of the book that he began to understand he wasn't following God.

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
    Matthew 11:28 KJV
    Jesus lives
    Jesus Christ is Lord
    For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
    Romans 3:23 KJV
    Jesus loves you repent
You're a sinner in need of a Savior
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
    Romans 10:9-10 KJV

Jojo, Dr. Thomas quotes from two hymns during this message: "God Moves in a Mysterious Way" by William Cowper and "I Asked the Lord That I Might Grow" by John Newton.
