i don't agree. small business people can't afford to be hit with an outrageous fee of 1.9%. if it was a reasonable fee such as .1%, i might agree. as for "purchase protection," it's not worth the paper its written on. can you imagine the hassle of dealing with paypal (the owner of venmo) to actually effectuate purchase protection? nightmare squared.

So main point, tell your customers to select "NO" for a good/service ;)

What is the best way to use VENMO business to business? .10 on every dollar. So if my sale is 2000 they get 200.00 in fees PLUS 2%???

There should be the option to choose who incurs the fee

Still kinda confused, you never really answered if you can get around this if the customerbjust says this isnt for a service. Or if you just send the money under “ dinner date, groceries, or anything else”

I am treasurer for a non profit social service organization . Our members make donations to pay our rent and make donations to sister organizations. I added a Venmo business profile to my personal Venmo account in order to keep them separate. Unfortunately the donations are getting hit with a Venmo fee. Any way I can eliminate the fee?

Isn't that considered a wright off for taxes. That could add up depending on volume

Got a Question for you. 2 years ago we started collecting Susie's, and reptiles for a small reptile breeding business. Didn't really know where it was going to go, so I was careless with a lot of the receipts. But much was purchased through my personal checking, with a debit card. Would I be able to use my past itemized bank statements as proof of my purchases for tax deductable items that I am missing my physical receipts for? Thank you.

I have no problem with this policy. It is a great option for a buzz who starting out. Also if you have a low customer base you don't have to worry about the monthly fee. Many programs or services change a few anyway.

Just add the fees and deduct them at tax time it really helps your business

How do I do this? Does this mean add the fees annually and the total will be deducted from my total income during taxes? I’m still learning so 😫

I’m completely new to Venmo. I’m the treasurer of a club. We have $30 annual dues. Is that considered a business? It’s not a good or service. Help.

Also you seem like youre siding with venmo and the irs. Probably bc youre a bookkeeper but if you gonna make a vid you should try to speak on both sides

That’s what it seems like. And you can’t even change your business name on there. And if you decide to close the business account you can’t ever get it back. And you can never go back to the same email. It’s so stupid. I wish there was a better more flexible method than stupid venmo.
